Kicking

"hey why are you up?"
Joe asked softly walking into the kitchen wrapping his hands around his 5 month pregnant girlfriend, placing his hands delecately on her bump at 2am.

"I can't sleep, there kicking"
Dianne smiled

Joe placed his hands to the bottom of diannes bump feeling a little kick.

"wow"
He said In amazement

Joe hadn't felt it yet, as whenever dianne told him, he would put his hand on to feel it and the baby would stop or he was out but on this particular occasion in the kitchen at 2am, joe felt his baby kick.

"it's jsut magical isn't it"
Dianne smiled looked at her boyfriend and baby interact with each other

"yeah"
Joe whispered

"they kicked again"
Joe added exitidly feeling it again

Dianne laughed at joes reaction. It was the cutest thing in the world.
They made their way back upstairs and into heir bedroom. Dianne layed on the bed with her top rolled up so Joe could feel the baby better. He put his hand where they were kicking before and kept feeling little touches against his hand. He was in awe.

He brought his face down towards diannes stomach placing a soft kiss on it.

"hey little one. You need to stop kicking so your mummy can get some sleep"
Joe spoke to the bump.

He really wanted to keep feeling the kicks but he also wanted dianne to gdt some proper rest and go back to sleep.

After a short five minutes, they stopped kicking and dianne smiled at joe.

"your actually so sweet."
She cooed to him

"it's jsut amazing isn't it. All of this"
Joe said

"what do you mean all of it?"
Dianne asked

"the baby, the kicking, you, me. We're all together. We're like a happy little family already"
Joe smiled

He placed his head on diannes bump being carefull not to hurt her or the baby.

"I can here it. It's moving"
Joe said

"I know, don't you think i can feel it"
Dianne laughed

"I know you can feel it. And it hurts doesn't it."
Joe added

Dianne nodded in response

"it's so sweet watching you listening and feel them but it really hurts."
Dianne said

"oh dianne. I'm so sorry did I hurt you?"
Joe rushed to asking her

"no silly. The baby's hurting me. When it moves it hurts a bit. Don't worry it's not you"
Dianne told him

"awww I'm sorry dot. But it's going to be like that. I'm always here for you if you need anything"
Joe smiled

"in that case can you go and get me a pot noddle with little bits of cucumber chopped up in it. I'm really craving it"
She asked

"of course. Pregnancy cravings are the weirdest though"
He giggles as he walked snack downstairs to get it for dianne
