"mummy, what is it like being in love?"
The little 4 year old girl smiled to her mum

Joe and dianne showed nothing but affection to each other with and without their daughter with them and it had got to that interesting point in the little girls life where she was asking deep questions like this. She was still young but was extremely clever for her age

"what do you mean love? There lots of different types of love?"
Dianne said to her daughter

"like love. Mummy an daddy love"
The girl smiled

Dianne sat there for a second, thinking about what she should say. She had been answering all different types of questions recently, like where do babies come from? How does it feel being a mummy? All sorts of things like that but she didn't quite know how to answer this one.

"well kayla...... This one's quite hard to explain little one"
Dianne said

"please tell me mummy"
The little girl kayla begged

"I don't know how to describe how it's like. There is no words apart from it jsut feels right"
Dianne smiled at kayla

"so you and daddy feel right"
Kayla asked confused

"that's not the best way of describing it is it. We feel lucky, to have each other. That's the best way I could describe love"
She told her

"is it not about kisses then?"
Kayla questioned and dianne shook her head

"love isn't all about kissing but kissing is a way to show someone you love them I suppose"
Dianne said

"do you love someone as soon as you meet them?so you kiss them straight away?"
Kayla added

"well it depends. Some people believe In something called love at first sight. That's when you fall in love with them as soon as you meet them but it's not the case for everyone. Me and daddy didn't fall in love as soon as we met"
Dianne explained

"why do you and daddy sleep in the same bed?"
Kayla asked

Another awkward question. The answer to this dianne really didn't know apart from because we love each other but she knew that if she said that kayla would want to be in bed with them every night which wasn't what she wanted and probably what joe also didn't want.

"I don't really know the answer to that baby. I suppose because it's jsut natural. All couples do it. I guess it's a way of protecting the other person if that makes sense"
Dianne smiled

"yes mummy, it makes sense. Does daddy protect you?"
Kayla said

Dianne nodded smiling

"yep, he does. He'd do anything to protect you and me. But about mummy and daddy love, he'd protect me with all he's got"
Dianne explained

"that's cute mummy. I love you and daddy so much"
Kayla giggled hughing dianne tightly both of them smiling, so lucky they they ahd one another
