Zeva Pov:
The next day I wake up early, in order to avoid meeting members of the Bartholy family. After last night I don't think I could face anymore remarks. I sneak on tiptoes , I took the shortest route outside before going into a full on sprint.
I head quickly to the University, where I have Myths and Legends class. The birds were already busy chirping when I stopped to catch my breath. Flipping out my phone, I quickly send a text to Sarah to tell her that I'll be early.
Me:
Hey Sarah!
I hope you slept well.
I'll be at the college early.
You can meet me at the library if you want to :)
Smiling, i shoved my phone in my pocket and enjoying the last part in a quiet walk. A few minutes later, when I'm in the beautiful university library, my mobile vibrates.
Sarah:
You're mad getting up so early!
I'll join you as soon as I'm ready!
See ya!
A smile crosses my face as I pocketed my phone again, she is just a ray of sunshine. Looking around the many shelves I quickly find the section I'm looking for. I go to the shelves where all the books on exorcism are kept. My fingers gliding through the titles. With one thing in mind. I'd like to learn more about mediums. I was interrupted the last time I came looking for information.
The incident where I saw Loan threatening Peter quickly played through in mind. I wonder what that was about... Chewing the inside of my cheek I shoved my questions away and focused on the reason I was here. Keep it together Zeva! No more distractions!
After finding several books on the subject, I sit quietly at a table. The library is almost empty this early. Everything is silent, peaceful. Only whispers of a book being turned in its pages could be heard. Minutes pass but I'm barely paying attention to it. My nose buried in a books.
So far I learned that there are several types of mediums. The one that comes closest to my case is probably a psychic medium. It's written that this type of medium can even have visionary dreams...
Chewing my lower lip, I'm not quite sure if that is a good thing or not but I want to try to look on the positive side. I guess seeing visions of the future would be exciting and useful! It's a power that might allow me to change the future to make it better. A smile broadens my face as I finally feel a sort of meaning concerning my abilities.
A slight tingle breaks my concentration alerting me to my surroundings. I lift my head when I feel eyes on me.
My breath hitches as I look straight into, two.. sublime green eyes....
Peter.
I can't help but let my eyes take him in. After yesterday, I guess I'm not the only one who wanted to escape to the library. As soon as my eyes meet his. He looks away and pretends not to have seen me.
Anger rises within me and despite wanting too, I don't take my eyes off him. He can try to avoid me. Pretend not to see me. I won't play his little game. I kept my intense gaze on him till he disappeared from view behind some shelves.
Taking a small glance down at the book, I was reading, I quickly closed and discarded it to the rest of the pile. That one wasn't going to be of much help. Looking at my two piles of discarded books, I was disappointed of how little of value I had actually learned.
