Zeva Pov:

I came back to the manor late. I hesitated a lot in coming back at all. As I pushed the huge front door open, the manor seems deserted. I can only hear Peter playing the piano upstairs.

I have to confront him. I have to tell him what I learned about them. My inner thoughts already chewing me out. Perhaps he already knows...? Tonight, the melody he's playing sounds particularly sad. I take my courage in both hands and head to his room. Despite what I am about to do I feel confident. Even if Peter is distant and changeable sometimes, I feel confident enough to manage to confront him now. After taking a deep breath, I knock on his door. The music immediately stops.

I don't even hear him move, yet the door opens. He appears in the doorway, his face lit by the light of the corridor. Again I am intimidated by his insubstantial beauty. The contrast between his very pale complexion and his deep black hair is magnificent. He looks like an an angel come straight from hell. Again, there's no expression on his face. Only his remarkable green eyes reveal his perpetual melancholy. He looks at me silently.

"Can I talk to you, Peter? Do you have a minute?"

Peter clearly noticed the seriousness in my tone. He raises an eyebrow, seeming to be waiting for more and mentally my jaw drops. Is he serious? I'm not going to talk to him about this here, in the hallway!? I give him a small smile, shifting a little with my feet. He looked so sad half hiding behind that door that I couldn't just turn around and walk away. After an unbearable wait, he finally understands what I'm implicitly asking and lets me into his room. I take a deep breath entering Peter's room. I am ready for anything! Even if the subdued and intimate atmosphere impresses me a little, I know why I came, and I intended to go all the way! after a quick glance around the room I turn my focused back on Peter. His cheeks were flushed and when he bit his lower lip, I couldn't help but wonder if i'd be the next snack.

Peter - "What do you want? If it's about Loan ..."

"I didn't come here to talk about him."

I interrupted. I needed to get this over with my courage fading by the minute.

"Even if I find his behavior intolerable, I'm sure you can deal with him alone."

Peters eyes widen. His lips parted slightly. He seems surprised by my remark. I know that if Loan and he were to fight, all the college student would bet on Loan. I also know that they'd all be wrong.

"I came to talk about something important, something special."

I give a heavy sigh, pacing myself, as Peter moves past me and towards his desk.

"Since I've been living here with you, I have noticed quite a lot of troubling things ... "

He leans against his desk. His muscular torso and his mysterious charm makes me forget for a moment why I came. I quickly snap out of it.

"It's about you and your brothers ... It's going to sound weird but since I live with you, I need to be clear ... "

His eyes are intimidating. If it wasn't for his indifferent face. He almost looks bored... I take my courage with both hands! Tapping into my frustration to give me courage.

"You don't eat, you hate the sun, you have incredible strength, and your eyes sometimes change color."

I let the words hang a few seconds before adding the final note. After this there was no going back.

"I'll go straight to the point: I know you're vampires."

With these words, Peter gets up, knocking a book over from his desk. Barely taking notice of it he walks over to me. He towers over me, his eyes don't leave mine, and the silence in the room is such that I hear only my breathing. He flashes me what is meant to be a sweet smile.
