Peter Pov:

Ziva - "Can I talk to you, Peter? Do you have a minute?"

Did I have a minute? How about eternity? No, that's not right. I stood by my door watching my tormentor I front of me. I knew I should limit my direct contact with her until the fade had run its final course and whatever spell Sarah had given her, hopefully, would wear off. Nicolae had confirmed as much before he and Drogo left with Lorie. I also knew it was her, the moment she knocked. She is the one one who ever does. So why had I been compelled to opened the door the second she knocked?

Wait, I knew why. After procrastinating for too long of a time, I pushed the juvenile selfish part of me aside. Bracing myself, I held my breath, stepping aside to let her in.

The moment she passed me, I felt that intoxicating scent of spring flowers that always followed her. It hit me like the softest pillow. Already breathing life within my stoic room with just her mere presence. My eyes were glued to her form. It wasn't just some wild fantasy but she seemed even more radiant just standing by my bed looking around. The way she acted so comfortable with absolutely no regard for whose room she had oh so willingly entered. My mind drifted to her tight shorts and tank top. They left soo much of her soft delicate skin exposed. It would be so easy to....

Mentally slapping myself away from my dangerous ideas. They were becoming devious. Feeding the rampant demons in my subconscious mind.

Feeling her eyes on me, I already knew this was going to be worse than anything Lorie could ever dish out on one of her really bad days. And believe me those were some very bad days.

Slowly, I moved my eyes up, making sure to catch Ziva's beautiful blue ones. I had a pretty good idea why she was here. But why did it have to involve that damned Loan!? Just thinking about his version was enough to make me want to hammer my head through a wall.

"What do you want? If it's about Loan ..."

Ziva - "I didn't come here to talk about him."

I stared at her hesitantly, I had not missed the emphasis on him, it was almost spat out. Was that annoyance? No, couldn't be... Before I could dwell on it too much she had already continued where she cut me off.

Ziva - "Even if I find his behavior intolerable, I'm sure you can deal with him alone."

Her words stopped time. There was no room for misinterpretation. If I had a beating heart it would have stopped too. Loans version of what happened had been so strong that it had created a mandela effect. So HOW in hell, did she break a fade that was that strong? She's just a human girl! Shoving everything else aside. I risk entering her mind only to be instantly pushed back with an annoying zap of a ward. Curse that Osborne wench! That must have been the spell she casted on her! It was the only explanation that made slightly any sense. But what was her angle? Why would she risk doing that?

Ziva - "I came to talk about something important, something special."

Ziva gives off a delicate sigh and already my mind starts to cloud and unable to keep focus. Just hearing her voice makes my body quiver. Not good, I need a distraction. I set my eyes and moved towards my desk. There had to be something in all this research that could help me.

Ziva - "Since I've been living here with you, I have noticed quite a lot of troubling things ... "

I stop skimming the papers, the words echoed in my ears sending dread down my spine. She couldn't have come to the conclusion on her own accord, could she?

Ziva - "I'll go straight to the point: I know you're vampires."

I stumbled turning around at her outspoken words. Without hesitation I closed the distance between us. One thing repeated itself in my mind. If that Osbourne wench had told her, I was going too...
