Dance Lesson (EXO Lay) [Cute]

You felt hands cover your eyes, and a breath tickled your ear. "Guess who?" An all too familiar voice teased, and you rolled your eyes under the 'strangers' hand. "Yixing, get your hands off my eyes, I can't see. It's dark." You joked. The hands pulled back to reveal your best friend, and frankly boyfriend of two years, Yixing. He pouted cutely. "Wae, I wanted it to be a surprise." He whined.

You giggled at his aegyo. "I need to learn how to dance, Lay. My birthday party is a couple days and I still don't know how to waltz." You fretted. Lay chuckled and came up to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and smiling at you. "Don't worry, you've always been a quick learner. You'll do fine." He said, kissing the top of your head.

You were still worried, but you couldn't help but smile at his comforting words. He straightened up, smirking at you. "Come on, it's time to practice." He said.

(Later that day)

You fell down against the floor tiredl. in defeat. "Ahhh, I can't do this. I can't dance!" You exclaimed. Lay chuckled, taking a handkerchief and wiping a bead of sweat off your forehead. He hadn't even broken a sweat! "You were doing splendidly, (y/n). You really surprised me today. " Lay said gently, brushing your hair.

Lay on the other hand was an amazing dancer, through and through. You knew a long time ago he could dance. It was actually how you met, and how he asked you out. You swore he could dance anything, and his singing was great as well.

"Thank you for helping me out Yixing. I really needed this." You said, cuddling up to him. Lay blushed shyly and wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head. "It was my pleasure, (y/n). I would do anything to help you." He said, hugging you tightly. "I can't wait to dance with you at the dance." You said happily. He smiled. "I promise it will be a night to remember." He said knowingly. You frowned. Was he planning something?

(Day of the dance)

You looked down at the ground nervously. Your waltz with Lay was coming up, and you swore you had made no progress, despite your boyfriend's protests. Finally, your turn to dance came, and Lay led you out to the dancefloor. He smiled comfortingly at you, and the music started.

At first, you were nervous at all the watching people, but you slowly let yourself get taken away by the beat. Lay beamed and twirled and danced you through the room, completely absorbed into the music. He didn't play around when it came to dancing.

Finally the song ended and you hugged your boyfriend happily. You were going to go back to your table when Lay caught your wrist, holding you back. You frowned in confusion at him when he got down on one knee and pulled out a small velvet box. Your eyes widened as he gulped, smiling nervously.

"(Y/n) when I first met you, I remember the first thing that caught my attention was your smile. Your beautiful smile that could light up any room and make anybody feel at ease. I remember falling in love with that smile, and the person that came with it almost instantly. As we spent these past years together, I realised how much you meant to me, and how I couldn't live without you. That, if you ever left my side, I would die. (Y/n), I realise that.... I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So....." he opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. 

"Will you marry me?"

Your eyes teared and you nodded, outright crying now. Lay smiled and slipped the ring on your finger and cupped your face, kissing you gently. "I love you (y/n)." He whispered in your ear. "I love you too Yixing." You whispered, beaming brightly, the same smile he had fallen in love with when you first met.
