1st Place (SHINee Minho) Part 2

"I...." You murmured. He looked up with hopeful eyes and you sighed in defeat. "Alright. I will." You said. He grinned and hugged you tightly. "Thank you. Wait here while I get ready." He said. "Wait!" you exclaimed. He turned back in confusion. "I left my dress in my room...I don't wanna go back, Kai might be there...." You murmured. Minho's gaze softened and he took your hand, squeezing it slightly. "I'll go get it for you. If he's there, I'll put him in his place." He said. You shook your head. "I don't want you to fight." you said. He smiled. "No promises. I care a lot about you, as a friend of course....a-and I don't like to see you get hurt." He said nervously. Without another word, he ran out of the room.

(10 minutes later...)

You were lying on Minho's bed, contemplating, when he burst into the room, huffing loudly. He had a short sapphire blue dress in his hands with black heels, and a change of clothes for after as well. "Wow, you must have sprinted." you joked, standing back up. He grinned, handing me the clothes. "Oh, Kai was looking for you. No, I didn't get into a fight." He said before you could ask. "I just told him to stop looking for you and that you never wanted to see him again, and for him to go back to that bi- uh, I mean, the other girl." He said with a nervous laugh.

You shook you head and smiled, feeling better at his words. "Thank you for standing up for me, Minho. You're a real friend." You said. Minho nodded with a bright smile. "Always." He said. We smiled at each other for a while, and Minho cleared his throat. "Why don't you get ready first? I'll wait outside." He said, walking outside. You giggled and locked the door, looking at your dress.

"Wait, this isn't the dress Kai picked out for me...." you muttered. You looked the dress over and saw the price tag was still on it, and your jaw dropped. A note was attached, with Minho's handwriting;

I could tell Kai picked that dress out for you, and due to the circumstances, I thought you could do with something better. So I quickly jogged to the store next to school and saw this dress and thought it would look perfect on you.... I hope you like it. And don't worry about paying me back, seeing you happy is good enough for me.:)"

Your eyes teared at Minho's sweet note, and you turned to the door. "Thank you..." you murmured, beaming brightly. You changed and slipped the dress on, the material soft against your skin, and not uncomfortable at all. It was strapless, with a sweetheart neckline and came down to your knees. You loved the dress, especially since it was your favorite color.

You slipped the heels on and opened the door, seeing Minho leaning on the opposite wall. His head shot up, and his jaw dropped. "(Y-y/n)?!" He stuttered. You blushed and nodded, giving a quick turn. "Do you like it?" you asked. He nodded with a gulp. You giggled, walking up to him and closing his jaw. "Uh-uh, no sir, no gaping. You have a girlfriend." You teased. "I'm starting to doubt it." He muttered. You smacked him lightly, pushing him in the room.

"Get changed! I'll wait out here." You said with as smike. He nodded and closed the door, but before he did, you saw a flash of something that looked like doubt and hesitation in his eyes, before the door closed in your face,

You had quickly run back to your room and grabbed your make-up, luckily avoiding Kai on the way. It didn't hurt as much anymore when you saw him, now you just felt dissapointment. You were sure this was because of Minho's support and you smiled, applying your base and foundation.

You were applying eye shadow when the door opened, revealing Minho in a tux, his necktie loose around his neck and some buttons were down. You whistled and giggled at his blushing face, making your way over to him and fixing his collar. "You clean up nicely. Sulli's lucky to have such a handsome guy." You joked. Minho smiled lightly.
