Mario and Luigi blinked. They were back in the town. Luigi gasped, looking around, baffled at what he just saw.
"W-what was that?!?! How did-?!?!" Luigi could only stutter, as he looked around quickly. Mario had to grab Luigi's shoulders to calm him down.
"Hey, hey, bro, it's ok! It was just a vision. We had a glimpse into the past!" Mario explained with a smile. Luigi looked at him bewildered.
"The past.....?" he said with confused eyes. Mario nodded.
"I ran into a blue glowing shard just like this one, and when I touched it, I received a vision. No, more like a memory, like the one we received just now. And after I touched it-" The shard immediately exploded into blue dust, and it flew into the air, disappearing. Luigi jumped back, stunned.
"-that happened." Mario finished. Luigi was rendered speechless, and exhaled.
"Ok, not weird at all...." Luigi shook his head, trying to calm himself down. He then looked up quickly.
"Wait, if that was a memory we received just now, who were those people?" he then asked. Mario expression changed.
"Right..... about that..... I actually don't know, but I knew about Marchionne. He-"
"Looks exactly like you." Luigi said with a shocked face. Mario nodded slowly. He then looked down.
"I don't know how he looks exactly like me, or even who he is. All I know, is that he was a resident of this mansion. Maybe he's a look-alike. It doesn't have to be too serious," Mario said. Luigi then looked at Mario with a worried facial expression.
"If that were true, then who was that other boy? Luciano? Why did he look like me?" He asked. Mario gasped, then he put his hand on his chin. That's right, Luciano was there as well. What in the world? What was going on? Why were there look-alikes here? He even had green eyes like Lui-! Mario jumped a little. That's right! Luigi wore contacts! He had completely forgotten to address Luigi about that!
"Hey, are you ok?" Mario looked at Luigi. He had a worried facial expression. Mario started to sweat. Should he ask? He then sighed, and nodded his head.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about the situation here...." Luigi nodded. Mario gave a fake smile. No, he shouldn't address this right now. They're on a mission at the moment. He could talk it out with Luigi, once they returned to the comfort of their home.
"Oh ok.... well, we should get moving. I don't want to stay here too long." Mario nodded, and stood up. Mario blinked. Oh yeah! His notebook! He then took it out.
"Hey, Luigi! Come look at this!" he called out. Luigi turned to look at Mario's notes. His eyes widened in awe.
"Wow.... that explains a lot. Not a lot of good news here though...." Luigi then took his lantern off his trousers, then lit it. He rose it, letting it illuminate the area.
"Come on." Luigi said. Mario nodded and followed him. Lugi sighed, as he looked up, small raindrops falling on his skin.
'How was Mario able to deal with this drizzle? It's very disturbing,' he thought with an annoyed tone.
He then thought back to Luciano..... and his eyes. That didn't help Luigi's conscience. He's now practically a hypocrite. Who was the one that said we needed to share everything with each other? He sighed, continued forward. He then heard Mario speaking.
