Mario's chest rose up and down in peaceful motions and Luigi watched with desperation, hoping that it wouldn't suddenly cease. Marchionne put two fingers to Mario's neck and said,
"His heart rate is steady now. We should get indoors, so that Mario will be surrounded in better conditions." Luigi smiled and said,
"Yeah, I like that notion." Marchionne grabbed his cleaver, and the two carried him, as Misery walked by his side, still healing him, and the others followed behind. Alice was in her own thoughts as she went behind them,
'He nearly died. I could even feel it. But he was somehow saved by fate yet again. It's actually starting to make me whether or not there really is a God out there....' Rosa then pointed to a small house in the town.
"We can stay there for now." They all headed towards the house and Rosa opened the door. In front of them was a foyer, and some other rooms, including a hallway. Alice closed the door behind them and Rosa scouted to see if there were any spirits there. She came back and said,
"I don't see any spirits here." Marchionne and Luigi gently place Mario on the floor, and Misery knelt on the floor to continue healing him. Everyone else sat down on the ground to catch their breath and rest. Misery then said to Luigi, Marchionne, and Alice,
"I'll heal you three after I finish with Mario." Marchionne nodded as he replied,
"Sounds good." As Misery was about half-way done, Mario's eyes started to open again and he croaked,
"Misery? Is that... you?" Misery smiled and nodded, saying,
"You're awake." Luigi and Marchionne perked up and went to his side. Luigi exclaimed,
"Mario!! Thank God!! You're awake!!" Mario then furrowed his eyebrows and asked,
"Wait.... didn't Riba stab me? How am I alive....?" Marchionne said,
"Aurora's healing you with her magic." Mario asked with confusion,
"Aurora?" Marchionne widened his eyes and and answered,
"Ah, right, I'll explain that later.... I mean Misery." Mario glanced at Misery and thought,
'She has healing abilities? Just like the princess.... oh, right. She looks exactly just like the princess. At this point, I don't even know what to think anymore. Is there going to be someone that looks like Luigi too?' He then said,
"Thank you so much. For saving me. You have my gratitude.... really, but.... about all that earlier....?" Misery widened her eyes and blushed, looking away, replying,
"I.... about that.... um...." Mario, noticing the embarrassment in her voice, quickly interjected,
"Ah, you know what? Nevermind about that. No hard feelings." His eyes then softened as he added,
"You were hurting. I get it. You don't have to explain it to me. It's ok." Misery's eyes widened and she smiled saying,
"I really misjudged you Mario. For that, please accept my apology." Mario smiled, nodding. Luigi smiled for a few seconds, then frowned as he scolded,
