Len held out her hand, and a bright light shone there. Riba shielded his eyes, and when he put them down, he widened his eyes when he saw.......
"A brooch?" Riba said in disbelief. The brooch had a gold chain attached to it, and it was cyan-colored, rimmed with gold. He then looked at Len with an annoyed expression.
"I asked for your help to kill Mario, and to get out of here! How is a necklace going to help?!" he exclaimed. Len shook her head.
"This is not just some necklace Riba. This brooch is enchanted with my wish-making magic. I've put five wishes inside here. You may use this brooch to help with your goals," she replied.
"Killing Mario, and the Mushroom Kingdom?"
"Precisely." Riba thought for a while. It was true. These wishes could be extremely helpful. And Len was not a liar. Maybe a bit deceiving and mysterious, but her words always held truth. To her, lying was just a part of human foolishness. Still a bit skeptical, Riba then asked,
"I can really use these wishes then? Is there..... a price?" Len simply nodded.
"Naturally. Nothing ever comes for free, Riba." He raised one of eyebrows.
"Then the wish about getting all my memory back?" She shook her head again.
"But you did pay a price. A road of pain." Riba's face turned into a glare.
"So you knew the process of getting my memories would be painful? You could've at least warned me, witch." Len just gave him a look of superiority."If you had actually thought it through, receiving multiple memories at once would obviously be painful. And no. When I said 'road of pain', I did not mean granting your wish. I was talking about your future, Riba." His eyes widened.
"W-what do you mean future?" Len just ignored him again, then held out the brooch to him.
"You are allowed to use this brooch to help achieve your goals, but there is a condition to this deal we're about to make." She tilted her head looking at him with a serious face.
"You have to achieve both of your goals for the price of these wishes to be paid." Riba cocked his head in confusion.
"Wait, that's it? No sacrifices or anything? I just have to do what I wanted to in the first place? What kind of condition is that?" Riba asked dumbfounded. Len just answered,
"Riba, I suggest you don't underestimate the conditions of this deal. But yes, that is it, if you achieve your goals. As for if you don't achieve them....." Len took back the brooch.
"I will strip you of the very source that gives you your immortality." Riba was taken aback.
"Y-you're going to turn me back into a human?!" he asked bewildered. Len just stared.
"I was the one who turned you into a demon," She narrowed her eyes.
"I can turn you right back," she said in a menacing tone. Riba clenched his jaw, considering his options. Should he go through with this? Seeing how Len made a seemingly small condition, it didn't seem too bad..... but Len was quite unpredictable. He could never figure out what was going on in her head. He even considered trying to fight her earlier, but he didn't know how she would react. He sighed, then looked around him. If he were to accept though, he could finally leave. Have freedom. What he even wanted in the first place. She was offering that to him. He then looked up to her with a determined face.
