Chapter Seven: I Can't Go With You

DRACO'S POV

It's been about a month now and I still haven't been able to track down Potter; how was I supposed to find him when I didn't even know where the Horcrux's were?

I was just passing another town when I noticed that it was getting dark; I should probably find somewhere to rest for the night.

I knew that they had hotels here. I stopped in front of a hotel called 'Sally's Sleep Inn' in bright orange lettering; I saw that they also had a breakfast so I could grab something to eat tomorrow morning.

I opened the door and a bell sound echoed throughout the place; there wasn't anyone in sight. I couldn't even see the person who was supposed to be working behind the counter. When I walked up I noticed a sign that said 'ring bell' and behind it was a large gold bell that looked a little rusty.

I lifted my head and rang the bell after looking around once more to make sure that I was alone.

A women in her late 50's came out in an orange and yellow uniform; it didn't look very nice.

"Can I help you?" her voice sounded like she had rocks down her throat; she was definitely a smoker.

"I was wondering if I could rent a room?" why did I feel so nervous all of a sudden? This place just seemed really sketchy.

"Do you want a queen or a double?" I raised a brow,

"Sorry?" she sighed and looked annoyed; she went over to her computer (something else that I was taught in muggle studies) and typed something on it.

"Do you want a queen sized bed or a double bed?"

"Oh a queen is fine" she typed something else on the computer before turning and grabbing some keys that were hanging on the wall.

"Your room number is 26 and it's going to be 80 for the night" I took my wallet out and paid her before grabbing my stuff and walking off to my room. I followed the numbers until I made it to a door that had 26 on the front. I took my keys and turned in and heard the click; I opened the door and saw an average sized room with a bed, an old dresser and a tv. The washroom didn't exactly look clean but I guess I could live with it for tonight; it's not like I needed to shower anyway. I dropped my stuff off on the chair beside the bed and crawled under the covers; not even taking my clothes off. I flicked the lights off beside me and sat in the dark; I couldn't stop thinking about Luna, was she okay? Am I going to be too late?

I sat up; realizing that I wasn't going to be able to get any sleep until I see if she's okay.

And with that thought I closed my eyes and aparated back to the manor.

LUNA'S POV

*Slap* my head flung to the side as Voldemort's hand made contact with mine. After Draco had been gone for a week Voldemort grew impatient; he ended up sending out other snatchers and followers last night. He's been giving me consistent bruises ever since Draco left; if only he knew that what he was doing wasn't worth it.

"If only Draco could see you right now" he hit me again over the head and I fell onto the bed in pain; groaning out he left me in the bedroom as he went to the bathroom.

Why was my life like this? Why do I have to take beatings and not say anything? Why isn't anyone seeing that this was wrong?!

They probably did but they're too scared to say anything; I heard the tap come on and turned towards the door; the shower was being turned on.

'This is so weird; I never even thought someone like him took showers'

I tried turning on my side but I groaned when I felt my arm pop back into place; I forgot he dislocated it not too long ago.

I wish I could be back down in the cellar with Ollivander; I haven't seen him in so long and he isn't even getting anything because he's willingly making their wands!

I heard a pop and turned around; successfully doing so without hurting myself this time. But, I gasped when I saw who it was.

"Draco?" he was already looking at me with a frown on his face; he quickly sat down beside me on the bed and grabbed my cheek; looking at the black eye that I just got.

"What has he been doing to you?" he whispered; I grabbed his hand and shook my head.

"He's a very bad person Draco; it doesn't matter what you do for him he's still going to hurt me" he leaned down and kissed me; gripping my face with both hands; making sure to be gentile. I grabbed onto his shirt and brought him closer to me; the sound of the shower filled my ears in the background. We moved our lips together and I felt him nibble at my bottom lip; I pulled away before things could get too far.

"Draco you have to get out of here; if he sees you he'll kill you!" he shook his head and lifted me up from the bed and started heading for the window.

"Let's go before he gets out! I can take you back!" I shook my head and took my hand out of his.

"I can't Draco don't you see? If I go then you will die" he frowns and takes my hands back,

"But if I don't then you will" I reached up and caressed his cheek; wiping away a tear that fell.

"I don't want to see you get hurt" I whispered; kissing him lightly on the lips.

"And I can't stand to see you hurting right now!" I sighed and bit my lip; then I heard the tap shut off.

"Draco you need to go" he shook his head and kissed me; deeper this time. I tried to pull away but I felt him tighten his grip on me; I finally leaned into the kiss and felt his tongue sneak inside my mouth. I almost moaned but I held it in because of Voldemort being on the other side of the door. I felt him grip my waist but began going lower and resting on the back of my jean pocket.

He pulled away and started kissing down my jaw and into my neck. I breathed in and leaned into him as he squeezed my butt lightly with his thumbs.

"D-Draco please you n-need to leave" his eyes found mine as we shared one more kiss. I felt myself get shoved on the bed but when I opened my eyes he was gone. I heard the door click and open as Voldemort stepped out from the bathroom; a smirk on his face.

"Now where were we?"

God help me.
