My Little Fighter

Chapter 9

                         Amelia

"Oh hello Amelia, didn't see you there." This little asshat said to me with an ammused expression.

"Oh hello Amelia didn't see you there." I muttered clearly annoyed by the situation. How is it possible that out of all the movie theatres, all the different movies, and the showtime, he chose this exact one.

"I'm sorry did you say something?"

"What are you doing here Jace?"

"Well the same as you obviously, watching a movie with my lovely friends right?" Of course Elijah, Braden and Carson followed.

"Hey Ames, we have to get seated. Oh hello buddy how are you?" Josh addressed Jace.

"I'm good."

Welp, this is awkward.

"Let's just go Josh." I grabbed his hand after this weird silence and searched for our seat numbers.

"Who's this guy?"

"Just an annoying classmate. Doesn't matter."

"Looks like we'll be spending more time with him then."

I looked to my right and who did I see? You guessed right. Asshat.

"Oh my! We're seated next to each other Amelia! What are the odds."

I clearly rolled my eyes and moved a bit to my left to distance myself as much as possible from this boy.

Halfway through the movie, I was terrified out of my life, and during one jump scare, I suddenly held Josh's hand, surprising him and I but we both didn't let go.

Our intertwined fingers bought the attention of Jace for some reason and I thought I saw through the darkness of the room an expression of jealousy.

Or maybe my brain was just going nuts after the horrifying scenes I had to watch.

I felt something hit my legs as I was now leaning on Josh.  I tried to ignore it but then it happened again. I looked down to see the cause of it and saw Jace's foot.

"What?!" I said in an angry wishper.

"I'm bored."

"We're in a movie theater, just watch the goddamn movie."

"But cupcakeee-"

I guess the lady behind us got annoyed when she loudly shushed us.

"Just watch the movie." I whispered to him lowly, apologizing to her.

Josh suddenly kissed the hand he was holding, making me blush in the process. Good thing we couldn't see it.

I then got hungry and went for the popcorn I shared with him but we both went in at the same time making me giggle when he fed me the ones he got.

Of course, asshat just had to protest about our little interaction, as we heard him let out a loud scoff. His friends all started laughing after that.

What was wrong with him? He was acting so strange.

The credits were now rolling as the movie was finally done. I didn't think I could've bared another scare jump.
Josh swiflty put his arm on my shoulder as we made our way out, and I'm really happy he did cause it was super cold outside.

"Cupcake wait!"

Oh my freakin god.

"Not now Jace."
