My Little Fighter

Chapter 19

                         Amelia

After checking for the first time who my opponent for the night will be, I stretched a bit and went to the bar to talk to Mia who was serving a drink to some guy.

She looked like a badass with all of her piercings and tattos, and tonight her hair were pink opposed to the electric blue she usually dyes her hair in.

When she saw me coming, a big grin appeared on her face. I love this girl.

"Hey Amy, you ready for tonight?" She asked while hugging me from behind the counter.

"Is that even a question baby?" I answered confidently.

She chuckled at what I said and agreed with me.

"Who are you fighting against?"

"Some guy named Rich. Is he new here? I could've sworn I never heard his name before."

Mia visibly flinched when I mentioned his name.

"Is there something wrong? "

"You really have to be extra careful tonight. This guy just came in town and he is destructing everything and everyone against him. People are scared of him."

Oh, a challenge.

Too bad for him I love challenges.

"Mia, I am the only girl fighting in this ring and I crush everything, I'm practically undefeated. A newbie won't change that fact."

"Okay fine, but don't underestimate him either."

"I won't. See you later."
I blew her a kiss and left to the back of the ring.

A few moments later, everyone was seated and everything became so silent when the host got inside the ring.

"And now ladies and gentlemen, the fight you've all been waiting for... On one side we've got the strong, the fierce and the undefeated Amore!"

The crowd roared in applause and cheerings when I got in through the cords.

I made sure that my hood was secured on my head as I started bouncing from side to side.

"And on the other side, he's new, he's fresh, he's terrible, he goes by Rich!"

The crowd went crazy again as he went in and copied my actions.

This guy was huge.

He could easily be double my weight and he was a much taller than me.

He looked a bit scary but that's beside the point.

I'm going to crush him.

My ears were buzzing and my heart was pumping so fast.

The host started hyping up everyone and explaing the rules of the fight as if I haven't heard them a thousand times.

I swear this man is too loud, he could probably easily break a window.

As soon as I heard the ring of the bell that announced the beginning of the fight, I felt adrenaline rush everywhere in my body making everything blurry except my target.

The beast mode was on more than ever and I was so ready to destroy him.

We started to circle around each other and bad boy seemed angry today because he threw a damn aggressive punch that missed me.

From his next few punches, I was able to analyze him.

He has a lot of strength and balance but he lacks of technique and precision.

He basically looked like an enraged big dog.

I threw my first punch to his chest but that barely made him move which took me by surprise.

He's made of steel of what?

I was so astounded by the lack of impact my hit did to him that I kind of let my guard down giving him an opportunity to punch me.

And that he did.

My head started to become a bit dizzy at the shock but I won't back down, even though I knew that it was going to leave a nasty bruise.

I was pissed that I allowed this to happen, and sadly, I was going to take my anger out on bad boy right here.

I threw a few fake punches destabilizing him completely and that's when I hit him with all my strength.

My knuckles started bleeding and my wrists hurt like a bitch but I was going to win this.

Okay, so my punches have basically no impact on him.

I have to take him by surprise and target his weak spots.

I was avoiding every hit he gave me while trying to think of a way to take him out.

Come on, think Amelia, think.

If we were in a cartoon show, a light bulb would appear on the top of my head.

I'm smart hehe.

When bad boy stopped the punches, I swiftly got behind him without him even realizing at first, and that gave me a little bit of time to climb on his back.

My grip on him was so strong that no matter what he did or how he moved, I wouldn't budge.

It was like a rodeo.

He tried to grab me but his back was so wide he couldn't reach me, so I put all my weight to the back making him stumble.

I kept on doing it again and again until he started falling, and on the last second I jumped to avoid being squished by him.

He was now on the ground and I got on top of him to hit him non-stop until the host got me off of him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this exceptional fight is the unbeatable Amore!"

He held my arm up high as I was panting uncontrollably.

This fight wasn't as easy but it was fun. I was just worried about the bruise on my face.

I'll have to stop by the drugstore to buy another concealer.

After everyone congratulated me on the win, I went to the back and as I was collecting the money, something caught my eyes.

Fuck, it was Jace and his three friends.

I thought that they would only visit the ring this one time.

I pulled on the strings of my hoodie, lowered my head and tried to get past them but of course, luck just doesn't want to be on my side.

Ever.

Carson stopped me and said
"Hey girl, that was awesome what you did there."

I mumbled a quick thanks but it looked like they weren't done talking.

"Aren't you hot with this hoodie always on ?" Now it was Elijah's turn talking.

I swear these guys are getting on my last nerves.

When I didnt anwer, Jace suddenly handed me a frozen can.

"I saw the guy hit you pretty hard. Put this on your eye to lessen the bruise."

Oh, that's really nice of him.

When I took it from him our hands touched, and I don't want to sound like those cliche stories but I could've sworn I felt something.

I immediately snapped out of it when I realized that he was trying to look at my face so I grabbed my bags and the money and left without even saying goodbye to Mia.

I really have to be more careful.
