Wait, hold up, I just realized something.

Jace is here.

At the place where I train to fight.

Shit, he can't know what I'm here for.

Okay, relax and take deep breaths. Thankfully Josh didn't mention a thing about what we were going to do.

"Isn't that the guy that was with us during our date ?" He asked while frowning at him.

"Yuppers. That's the one. And he can't know what we were about to do." I whispered the last part to him.

He nodded, than said a little louder for Jace to hear.

"Take those training gloves Ames, today I'm going to introduce you to boxing."

I turned around to make sure he heard and I knew he did by the puzzled look he gave me.

Let me tell you, it's harder to prentend you're a beginner than it looks like,
But nonetheless, this had to be by far the funniest training I have ever done.

Why ? You're wondering.

It's because of Jace's reactions.

The whole hour and a half I was fake training with Josh, I made sure to laugh a little bit louder and be a little bit more touchy with him.

I know you must think I'm a terrible person for using him like that, but I would lie to myself if I said that I wanted to become more than friends with him. Plus, I really needed to get
back at Jace in some way.

I know I have to talk to Josh about that. He doesn't deserve what I'm doing to him.

Anyways, Jace thought he was really discreet and subtle but it was as clear as water that he was getting more and more irritated by the minute.

His face expressions when he was looking at us was just priceless.

It looked like someone killed his pet or something.

When we were finally done, Josh high fived me and then hugged me, but while he was doing it, he said lowly in my ear.

"I think we did a good job in faking your training and in making this guy  jealous."

I pulled back and became so red when I realized he understood what was going on.

Guess I wasn't so subtle either.

"I'm so sorry Josh, I really w-"

"Nah, don't worry about it. The heart wants what the heart wants." He smiled at me.

What did I do to deserve a friend like that?

Oh wait.

"So we're friends right?"

"Of course Ames, it's all good. God you're so cute when you panic like that." He pinched my cheeks.

"Come on, I'll drop you back home."
He then continued while moving towards the door.

"No, I will drive her back."

What?

"Were you eavesdropping on our conversation Jace?"

"No, I just heard the last part by mistake. You can go home Ross."

"It's Josh."

"Yeah whatever."
