It was now Friday: The day Tikal will confess to Knuckles. She was in her classroom, staring down at her love letter. Having second thoughts, should she really risk this? This could ruin their friendship, it would be too awkward for Knuckles if he doesn't love her. Tikal's eyes dart up to the teacher, still lecturing them about the DNA helix structure. Trying to focus on something other than the letter. But no matter how hard she tried, her mind kept on going back to the letter. 'Come on, I can do this.' She thought, bringing some confidence back. Tikal has never been this nervous in her life. The thought of being rejected just haunts her. Suddenly, the bell rings making Tikal jump a little. Everyone begins to pack up and walk out of the classroom. Whilst the teacher cleans her board and continues with some paperwork. Tikal slowly stands up and gently grabs the letter. She bites her lip, wondering if she can actually do this. "You ok Tikal?" She looks up to see her teacher. With a concerned look, "Yes I'm fine miss. Just tired that's all." Tikal grins, hiding the letter behind her. Teacher had a look of doubt smeared all over her, "Ok then, but know that you can always talk to me about anything." She says before going back to desk. Sitting down to write on some more paperwork. Tikal picks up her bag and exits the classroom. Heading down the stairs to the lockers. She goes to her locker putting in her books and taking one out. Then glances over to the fourth locker on her left: Knuckles' locker. Right now he was with the sports club. He would be here around 4:30. A long sigh leaves Tikal's mouth. 'It's now or never' She takes her love letter from her skirt pocket. Then placing it at through the lockers slit. Once she does this, Tikal begins to jog up to the cherry blossom tree.

After Knuckles finished his club meeting, he heads to his locker. As he opens it, a pink letter falls onto the ground. He gives a confused look, who would put a pink letter in his locker? Knuckles kneels down picks up the letter. There was a red heart in the middle of the envelop. He rips the top and pulls out a white card. With two male cupids in the top left and right corner. Knuckles slightly blushes, before opening the card. Throwing the letter's paper onto the ground. It read 'Come and meet me at the cherry blossom tree.-Tikal' This forms a smile onto the red Echidna's face. He lets go of the card and runs out of the school. Going around the side of the school, to see the hill in the distance. As he gets closer and closer to the tree, he could see an orange figure. Once he runs up to the top, he views the orange figure to be Tikal. He notices her shy expression, "Hey Tikal, you wanted to see me?" She nods, holding her hands together. "Y-yes, I did." Knuckles rubs the back of his neck, nervous about the conversation. "What is it?" Tikal takes a deep breath in and then out. Sucking up her fear of being rejected. "Knuckie. We have been friends for awhile now and..." She pauses takes another deep breathe in and out. It was a habit of her when she's nervous. "It's ok. Take your time." Knuckles assures. "And this last week has been amazing with you. I think, no, I KNOW I've developed deep feelings for you." Knuckles lets out a small gasp. She has the same feelings as he does for her.
"T...Tikal," He takes a hold of both of her hands. Pulling them between their chests. "I have developed deep feelings as well. I-I love you!" He beams. There was silence between the two, until Tikal leans forward. For them to share a tender kiss. As the cherry blossoms fall around them, with a beautiful sunset in the background. However, there was also a certain figure in the background. Watching them: Amy Rose. A sinister smirk formed onto her face. Satisfied that her 2nd rival eliminated.
