~chapter three~

<Paige's P.O.V>

Location~ Key Largo, Florida

As almost always it was wonderful weather today for this little island. I smiled softly as I stood at me and my sisters meet up spot in front of the most beautiful tree in our neighborhood. A small breeze blew my hair gently so I lifted my right hand to tame down the fluffed up strands. I noticed my younger non-biological sister coming my way so I waved slightly, feeling both excited and nervous to hear what her "important" message was. She Stopped, her chocolate brown hair swishing side to side with her movements. She then bounced on her tippy toes reminding me of a child. I cleared my throat softly before speaking in my usual timid tone and manner. "So..a-are you gonna tell me or are you gonna make me guess..?" She smiled at me in her fourteen year old way then nodded slightly. "Let's take a walk." I blinked once, visibly confused at her actions, then caught up with her. I tucked a blonde strand behind my ear before tucking my hands into my Disney varsity jacket. "So, Madelyn..will you speak now or must you make a-another pre-teen move on me?" We're the same height, short might I add, so she turned her head to side glance at me, giving me a goofy smile, and "goofy" is a rarity for Madelyn so I was then looking at her with nervous blue/grey eyes. "As you know, you've turned eighteen four months ago..which gave me just enough time to do a little research." I gave her a sullen look. "Long story short I'm a tech genius." She squealed then continued. "Anyways, I found blood relatives for you!" I stopped abruptly, my dress swishing in the breeze as I did so. "Y-You what?" I asked shocked. She spun around to face me then patted down her cheerleading skirt as she went on. "It took a few phone calls..and some lying about my actual age, buuut..The best part is you get to stay with them for a while! Yay!" She clapped her hands together lightly then looked at me up and down. "I will not let you meet your new folks looking like that though. That's for sure." I had a million questions running through my mind right now, but the one that came out was.. "Wh-Whats wrong with my outfit exactly?" She walked around me and nodded in a criticizing manner seeing the back of my jacket. "Disney princesses? Paige, I'm fourteen and I would kill myself before I'd wear that. See what I'm sayin'?" "I think that's a bit of an over-exaggeration." She tilted her head toward me, her brown locks swishing to the side as she does so. "Is it though? I think not. C'mon, let's go!" I giggled shaking my head. "You're impossible." My face softened and I looked at her seriously similar to a mother's facial features while reassuring her child that everything was going to be alright. "..What else c-can you tell me about this family of mine that you apparently found?"
