~300 years later~
<Y/N P.O.V> Location~ Burgess, Bennett residenceIt was a rather calm night in Burgess. Stars scattered out in the midnight sky and the moon seemingly brightening up the little town. A steady breeze blew threw my younger brothers cracked window. I ruffle my H/L H/C hair a bit as I continue to stare at the starry night sky. I look over at Jamie's clock. Any time now. I spoke quietly, leaning my head on my hand with my elbow propped on the window sill. "Three, two..one." I spin around on his swivel chair crossing my legs criss-crossed, looking at my goofy brother standing at the doorway. I give him a lopsided like smile as he ran into his room, hopping onto his bed giving me a whimsical smile in return. He sat in the same position as me and stared at me expectantly. I sighed softly and smiled slightly at the bright eyed boy. "You want me to sing you to sleep..don't you?" I asked, already knowing his answer. "Please Y/N? I did both our chores yesterday and today-" I cut him off, amused by his persistence and love for my singing. "Jamie, I never asked you to do that you dork." Jamie pouted for a moment. "True, but-" "Oh, and look at the time lil' bro. Eleven eleven. Better make a wish, yeah?" He looked at me unamused, though secretly he did want to make a wish. "Please sis? I won't go to bed unless you sing." He stared at me smugly and I stared back, my E/C eyes not giving in. It was a stare off. Jamie's eyes started watering, but I knew he was a stubborn one and he wasn't going to break. I inhaled then exhaled softly, closing my eyes for a moment then opening them once again to see a proud, smug faced Jamie. Before he could say 'I win' like he normally does every time he comes out victorious in any games we play, I clear my throat and begin to sing soft enough to not wake anyone else in the house, but vocally strong enough so Jamie could enjoyably listen. <You can imagine which ever song you'd like to> By the end of the song, Jamie was snuggled under the covers. His slow steady breathing indicating he was peacefully sleeping. "Goodnight JJ, sweet dreams." I smiled tiredly, ruffling my hair a bit. My limbs cracked as I stretched out in the chair. I got up shaking my head a little then turned around to push his chair back into its rightful place. I sneakily went to my room which is right next to Sofies, peaking into hers seeing her peacefully asleep as well. I entered my room and switched the light on after closing my door behind me. I checked the time on my phone, 12:05. I set it on my drawer then looked up almost screaming. I held my chest where I could feel my heart racing. "Abbey! Damn girl..you scared the hell outta me." The large hound just stared at me, wagging her tail in response. "Staying in my room tonight, huh?" I smiled tiredly, patting her head as I walked by her moving towards my closet. Picking a comfy night outfit to wear I lazily took off the clothes I wore today and put the comfy clothes on. I plopped onto my bed allowing Abbey to join me as I roll onto my side, fiddling with my N/C <Necklace color> necklace with the word "Faith" dangling from it in cursive. "I have faith Abbey..tomorrow's a new day. I will give myself a purpose and get me a new job. Mom could use the help." She just licked my cheek in response wagging her tail once more before laying her head back down and closing her eyes, her tail gradually coming to a stand still. "Sweet dreams to you too, Abbey." Yawning, I closed my eyes, allowing the darkness to swallow me whole, the faint glow of my F/C lava lamp being the only light in my darkened room.
