Night falls in the town of Burgess and Jamie, in his bedroom with his mom and Sofie, is telling how his day went, eccentric. Jamie plays with a toy robot as he goes on. Earlier he drew a picture of him flying midair over his friends and sisters on his sled. "..I did this jump and it was amazing and I slid under a car and it was awesome! Then I was flying down this hill and I was like, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh through all these cars, and then the sled hit this, this thing, and I was like way up in the air." He mimes flying in the air with his robot, then crashing to the bed as Sofie and their dog, Abbey, sit listening. "..and then bam! The sofa hit me, and, and see?" He opens his mouth, showing Sofie the spot where his tooth was. "My tooth came out!" Sofie laughs and tries to stick her finger in the gap in his gums. "Alright you, tooth under your pillow?" Jamie sets the toy robot on his nightstand, then grabs a stuffed rabbit next to his pillow holding a camera and a flashlight. "Yeah, I'm ready." Jamie tells his mom in response. "Now don't stay up trying to see her Jamie, or she won't come." "But I can do it this time!" He turns to Sofie with a bright smile. "Wanna help me, Sof? We can hide and see the Tooth Fairy!" Sofie smiles goofily. "Hide, hide, hide, hide!" Jamie's mom picks Sofie up off the bed and lifts her over her shoulder. Abbey gets up and begins licking Jamie's face. "Uh uh, straight to bed now, mister." "Mom..." Jamie whines. Meanwhile, Jack was watching from outside, hanging upside down and peering in through the window. He feels a pain, the glass of the window frosts over. Jack flips onto the roof, a little pensive. He makes his way towards the roofs peak and looks up at the moon. It lights up the night sky. "If there's something I'm doing wrong, can you, can you just tell me what it is? Because I've tried everything, and no one ever sees me." No response. "You put me here, the least you can do is tell me, tell me why." He waits a moment, staring at the moon with desperation. The moon shines silently down. Jack turns away in frustration. Jack leaps off the roof, onto a telephone pole. He begins walking across some telephone wires. A stream of dreamsand suddenly zips by behind him, then another, which swoops around in front of him. Jack turns and looks up, a smile now on his lips. "Right on time, Sandman."

I looked at Pixie expectantly, a small adorning my face. We were sitting across from each other on our back doors steps. Me sitting on one step below her, anticipating what she wanted to say regarding her episode earlier while in the backyard. It was night time, but we're both night owls and love to gaze at the night sky most nights. She had one leg laying straight, parallel to the step while the other was upright, her elbow resting on her knee as she leaned her head on said arm in the palm of her hand. She cleared her throat. "O-Okay, but y-you have to promise not to freak out." I nodded eagerly. "I..I-I'm able to do things..w-with my mind. I don't know yet e-exactly how I got my powers, but it began when I was twelve..and I've learned to control them. I just..kept them hidden from you. I-I was afraid y-you'd label me a freak." I looked at her skeptically, unsure how to take this. She seemed to sense this so she spoke again. "W-Would you like for me to prove it?" I smiled, shrugging. "Uh, yeah. Come on, show me, Glenda." She giggled. "Glenda? Di-Did you just call me the good witch from The Wizard of Oz?" "Yes, yes that I did. Now show me!" She sat up a bit, lifting her head from her hand. "O-Okay, but remember sis. Don't..freak out." I watched her lift her hand up, opening her palm revealing a beautiful vibrant dragonfly, it flew gracefully around us. I stared, shocked. "Holy shit." A soft smile adorned her face then she spoke. "This dragonfly i-isn't real. I've just convinced your mind that i-it is." I stare at her in awe and like the child I am, I attempted to grab the bright creature. My hand went right through it. Pixie giggled then swiped it herself, it seemed that she caught the winged insect, but slowly opening her hand I was wide eyed seeing the dragonfly was no longer there. "I-I can make people see or not see whatever I choose..a-along with this as well." She moved her hand in front of my face and wiggled her fingers around as a stream of maroon colored stream of energy slipped in and out between her fingers. "I can move things with this energy. I can also do this with it." As I watched on amazed she got up from her step and stood, raising her arm opening her palm out then suddenly a ball of maroon energy was shot from her palm and blasted an empty wine bottle that was sitting atop the garbage bin. "Oh my god! Y-You're the freaking Scarlet Witch!" I exclaimed as I hopped up from my sitting position. I ran to her side as she turned with a small smile on her face. "I-I'm gonna call you 'Maroon Witch', huh? C-Can I..call you that?" She nodded. "S-Sure, I just wish I knew more about the origin of my powers..ya know?" I looked at her sadly. Figuring now would be a good time to tell her my secret, I spoke up softly. "I..I know how you feel a-actually." She perked up a bit, looking at me, tilting her head. "H-How so?" "W-Well, how about I tell you not to freak out this time? L-Like, you..I was afraid you'd see me differently." I took a breath then just let it out quickly. "I-I have psychotic abilities." She just stared at me, so I tried to explain. "Look, I-I gained these abilities wh-when I was twelve a-and a while ago I h-had this odd dream, which is weird because I rarely dream when I sleep, a-and th-there was this voice, he started telling me all these things a-a-about being a Guardian o-of childhood o-or, or something and the weird thing was th-there was no one else near me e-except th-the, the-" "Th-The moon." She cut me off. We just stared at each other confused and curious. Pix spoke first. "There's..something s-strange going on here..I..can sense it. Like, earlier i-in our backyard a-and during the snowball fight with Jamie and his friends..w-we weren't alone, Y/N. Th-There was someone else with us..I-I sensed another mind.." I started giggling. "H-Holy shiz! Th-This is freaking awesome!" She looked at me with a nervous smile. "Wh-What?" "I mean, w-we just found each other. Found out w-we both have special abilities and the freaking moon is talking to us!" She looked at me as if I were crazy, well that could be debated. "What I-I'm trying to say is..maybe..m-maybe we were meant for..for something better. Pix, maybe the Man in the Moon had us find each other for a reason." Her eyes softened. "Well, it doesn't sound that crazy." She giggled, pulling her red hood off her head, her blue/grey eyes sparkling with excitement. "He...he told me Toothiana w-would explain everything." I tilted my head. "Toothiana?" "Y-Yeah, unique name like mine, I know. I think she's th-the-" This time I cut Pixie off. "Tooth Fairy!" She perked up as realization hit her, then we said in unison. "JJ!" We began to walk back to the house from across the back yard. I skipped along side Pix as she dug her hands in her red jackets pockets. "A-And don't worry, if this magical mission of ours ends up just being in our heads and we end up being thrown into an insane asylum for the rest of our lives, I-I'll take the blame and be your own personal servant til' the day we die in that asylum." She giggled. "W-We're so freaking peculiar."
