The sleigh suddenly comes out of hyperdrive at the outskirts of the Tooth Palace. Streaks of black rapidly approaching. "What?" North asked aloud. Hundreds of nightmares and terrified Tooth Fairies jet past. North yanks the reins and the sleigh veers sharply, dodging the oncoming nightmares. "What are they?!" North shouted, dodging many nightmares. Sandy, Bunny, Pixie and Y/N duck the onslaught. "Whoa!" Bunny exclaims, shielding Pixie from them. Jack notices that the nightmares are actually gulping down the fairies and flying off with them. "They're taking the tooth fairies!" Jack looks up to see a lone fairy with a nightmare snapping at her heels. Jack leaps into the air and rescues her before the nightmare can snatch it away. Y/N watched him in awe as he then landed back in the sleigh, opening his hand to reveal a frightened, shaking Baby Tooth. "Hey little Baby Tooth, you okay?" As Baby Tooth nods, North steers the sleigh forward through the storm toward the entrance of Tooth's Palace. North spots a nightmare up ahead and hands Jack the reigns. "Here, take over!" Bunny's eyes widen, letting Pixie go, and allowing her to stand next to him. "Huh?" Jack, though surprised, quickly grabs the reigns and smiles as he snaps them. North readies his sword and slices the nightmare in half. "Yah!" tooth containers spill out of the split nightmare and rained down into the sleigh at the Guardians feet. The nightmare disintegrates into black sand. Bunny picks up a container. "They're stealing the teeth!" Sandy looks at his hands and sees the nightmare sand take shape and drift away. He, Pixie and Bunny exchange looks. The group looks up, seeing a pillar getting closer to them. "Jack, look out!" Hearing North's warning, Jack pulls the reins. Jack and Y/N shout, Bunny and Pixie take a secure stance, ready to jump out of the joy ride and Sandy sits calmly. The sleigh nearly misses the pillar and skids to a rough stop on a platform. They see Tooth up above. "Tooth! Are you alright?" North shouts to her, concerned. Tooth is flying around, visibly frustrated. They all thought the same thing; this is bad. "They, they took my fairies! And the teeth! All of them! Everything is gone! Everything." Only then does it hit her. Tooth's wings drop in defeat. She's completely lost amidst the devastation. The Guardians rush to comfort her. Jack, Y/N and Pixie stay behind as Baby Tooth pops out from Jacks hood then flies towards Tooth. "Oh thank goodness! One of you is alright!" The three below smile sympathetically up at Tooth, then Pixies slowly faded, sensing another presence with them. Sure enough, a new and unfamiliar voice to Y/N and Pixie spoke smoothly from above them. "I have to say, this is very, very exciting." The British accented voice echoes across the open chamber. They look up to see Pitch, standing high above them with a satisfied smile. "Pitch.." Pixie breathed out quietly, staring up at him slightly wide eyed. "The Big Four, all in one place. I'm a little star-struck. Did you like my little show on the globe, North? Got you all together, didn't I?" North looks down agitated while Tooth darts after Pitch, but he escapes into the shadows. "Pitch, you have got thirty seconds to return my fairies!" "Or what?" Tooth follows the sound of Pitch's voice and finds him near one of her tooth box columns. "You'll stick a quarter under my pillow?" North raises his sword then points it at Pitch. "Why are you doing this?" "Maybe I want what you have. To be believed in." Pitch moves along the walls and shadows of the chamber and emerges from behind a column. "Maybe I'm tired of hiding under beds." Bunny then speaks up. "Maybe that's where you belong." "Oh, snap." Y/N whispered to Jack, smiling. "Ah, go suck an egg, rabbit." Y/N stifled a giggle. Pixie turned to her, shaking her head, signaling for her to hush. Bunny looks down past the edge of the platform to find Pitch upside down, staring him in the face. Pitch disappears again as Bunny attempts to snatch him from above. "Hang on, is that...Jack Frost?" Pitch laughs. "Since when are you all so chummy?" Jack moves away from the girls, clutching his staff while looking around cautiously. "We're not." "Oh good." Jack turns and sees Pitch standing in the middle of a column. "A neutral party. Then I'm going to ignore you. But, you must be use to that by now." "Pitch! You shadow sneaking rat-bag! Come here!" Bunny goes after Pitch, but he disappears then reappears behind an innocent, unsuspecting Pixie. She glances behind her, but then quickly looks forward gasping surprised, and frightened eyes widened as Pitch wrapped his arms around her tightly. He put his mouth to her ear, watching Bunny closely as he did so, and spoke smoothly. "You're a timid one, aren't you, Stardust?" She gulped, feeling paralyzed from fear. Her voice came out shakey. "P-Please..don't hurt me." He chuckled. "I'm not going to hurt you." He smirked at Bunny as the pooka glared murderous daggers at him. "Yet." Y/N was about to charge at Pitch, but Jack protectively blocked her way. "J-Jack..Pixie! L-Let her go you bastard!" He tightened his hold on her, causing the red haired girl to squeak. She looked at Bunny, frightened. "I wouldn't use that tone with me miss Y/N. I have got your sister's life in my hands." Y/N stared at him with a mixture of anger and fear. "Don't you dare fucking hurt her, Pitch." He smirked malevolently. "I know you have an interest in this one rabbit. So..stand down..or your little girlfriend's mine." Tears start to prick Pixies eyes, not wanting to find out exactly what he meant by that. She takes a deep breathe then stomps on his foot, causing him to let her go. "Gaahh! You little-" He was cut off by her suddenly blasting him with a pulse of her maroon energy. He stumbled away from her a bit, then glared at her smirking. "You're going to regret that, love." Her face was flushed as she stared at him with fear, seeing him walking towards her she began walking backwards, stumbling. Pitch sees an angry Bunny coming at him, so he disappears and reemerges on an opposite column. Tooth spots him, grabs one of Bunny's boomerangs and flies at Pitch in a rage. Pitch looks at Tooth with a smile, and before she can reach him, a huge nightmare darts out of hiding and rears up at her. Tooth falls back as Baby Tooth hides in Jacks hood. Pitch speaks to Onyx in a soothing manner. "Whoa! Hey, easy, girl. Easy." Pitch draws a wisp of black sand from Onyxs mane, twirls it in his palm, and turns toward Sandy. "Look familiar, Sandman? Took me a while to perfect this little trick. Turning dreams into nightmares." Sandy glares up at him, the others stare in shock. "Don't be nervous, it only riles them up more. They smell fear you know." Bunny glanced at Pixie softly, seeing her shake slightly, hugging herself while looking up at Pitch nervously. Bunny looks down for a split second then his soft gaze turned to a glare. He looked up at Pitch, enraged. "What fear? Of you?!" He chuckled half-hertedly, snatching his boomerang out of Tooth's hand. "No one's been afraid of you since the Dark Ages!" Pitch's eyes flash with anger. But then he smiles. "Oh, the Dark Ages." Y/N heard the nostalgia in his voice. "Oh, no..h-he's gonna do a monologue." "Brace yourself, snowflake." Jack smirked at her as she giggled. "Everyone frightened. Miserable. Such happy times for me. Oh, the power I wielded! But then the Man in the Moon chose you to replace my fear with your wonder and light! Lifting their hearts! And giving them hope!" He glares off into the distance, remembering the awful feeling of being powerless and weakened. "Meanwhile, everyone wrote me off as just a bad dream! Oh, there's nothing to be afraid of! There's no such thing as the Boogeyman!" Pitch leans toward the Guardians, showing nothing but contempt. "Well, that's all about to change." Pitch looks behind him, seeing parts of the Tooth Palace already cracking and crumbling, as if decaying. Tooth is stunned. "Oh, look, it's happening already." Pixie removes her arms from around her stomach and covers her mouth. "Oh no.." Y/N looks around, visibly confused as was Jack. The white haired young man turns to the Guardians. "What is?" An upset, stunned sound comes out of Tooth's mouth as her eyes widen in shock. "Children are waking up and realizing the Tooth Fairy never came. I mean such a little thing, but to a child..." Both Jack and Y/N are mystified. They moved closer to Tooth as the Palace continues to crumble. "Wh-What's going on, guys?" Y/N asked, moving close to Jack, grabbing a hold of his hoodie out of slight fear. Pitch sensed this and smirked once again. "They, they don't believe in me anymore." Pixie shook her head, looking at Tooth worriedly. "U-Uh..what?" "Didn't they tell you, Frost? Little Y/N? And my dear, innocent Stardust?" Pitch's smooth, mocking voice spoke up, turning all their attention to him. "It's great being a Guardian, but there's a catch. If enough kids stop believing, everything your friends protect - wonder, hopes and dreams - it all goes away. And little by little, so do they." The Nightmare King chuckled as Jack realizes now the magnitude of Pitch's plan. "No Christmas, or Easter, or little fairies that come in the night. There will be nothing. But fear and darkness and me! It's your turn not to be believed in." Bunny throws his boomerangs at Pitch, who quickly ducks out of the way as they fly around the chamber columns. Pitch then jumps onto the back of Onyx and down into the depths of the Palace. The Guardians dive after him, followed by Pixie, who uses her maroon energy to drift down through the air, then Jack looks to Y/N. He smirks and sweeps her off the ground, diving after the others without hesitation. She held onto him tightly. "J-Jack, you psycho! A warning n-next time, please?" He chuckled. "We'll see." She just blushed in response. Bunny grabs a set of egg bombs and launches them at Pitch, exploding seconds before Pitch hits the ground. They land, looking around for any sign of Pitch. North's face falls. "He's gone." Pixie comes up to North's side, patting his back lightly. "It'll be okay North. We'll get him. I-I believe we'll win and defeat Pitch and his nightmares." North looks down at her proudly. "I know, Stardust. I believe so too." She smiles softly up at him, knowing she's responsible for his positive beliefs. Bunny steps next to her, smiling at her, but also feeling very concerned for her. "Pixie.." She looked over to him. "I, I will never let Pitch have an opportunity to get to you like that again, love. I-I'm sorry I couldn't stop him.." He looks down feeling a bit guilty now. "Who knows what that bastard would've done to you if you hadn't gotten out of his grasp like you did..." He deeply sighed, then looked at Pixie smiling lightly. "Good work, Pixie. I couldn't handle seeing his bony hands all over you..I'll kill em' before he touches you again. I'll never let him hurt you." He couldn't look her in the eyes, so he quickly grabbed her and hugged her tightly. Her heart was racing and her blush intensified. She closed her eyes hugging him back. North smiled warmly at the two. They gradually pulled away, both blushing like crazy, but Bunny could hide his due to his fur so he smirked down at her flustered figure. She smiles at him shyly. "L-Looks like you're my Guardian, Aster." He chuckled, hearing her use his first name. "That's the first time you called me that, sheila. How'd you find out my full name?" She pointed to her head. "I learnt it as well as the others. Also, f-from Manny. And ah, Y/N knows too..so be prepared for some teasing of your name, Aster." His ears flattened as he scoffed. "Nice.." She giggled at him, which caused him to smile. During their conversation, Tooth, deflated, sits on the ground with an empty tooth box in her hands. Baby Tooth, resting on a nest by a broken tooth box, looks to Tooth with concern. Jack and Y/N exchange sad looks then walk over to Tooth, crouching down to her. Bunny can be heard in the background. Y/N rolls her eyes then focuses back on Tooth. "Okay, alright I admit it, you were right about Pitch." Pixie stifled a giggle, looking up at him while tilting her head. "N-No, was he really, Aster? I-I don't think any one noticed all the chaos we previously went through with Pitch." He raised an eyebrow at her, she then immediately apologized. He smiled and patted her head. "This one time I wish I was wrong. But he will pay. I believe." North directs his gaze to Pixie and nods at her, a small smile on her lips. They turn to watch Tooth, Jack and Y/N. "I'm sorry about the fairies." Tooth smiles sadly. "You should've seen them. They put up such a fight." "Why would Pitch take the teeth?" "It's not the teeth he wanted, Jack. It's the memories inside them." "Whoa.." Y/N exclaimed quietly, then noticed Tooth getting ready to hover off. The multi-colored girl asks out of curiosity. "What do you mean?" Jack stands then looks down at Y/N, holding his hand out. After taking it with a smile, he lifted her up and wrapped an arm around her while Tooth leads them across the pond, Jack using his powers to freeze the water under his and Y/N's feet as they walk. "That's why we collect the teeth. They hold the most important memories of childhood." Tooth directs them to a mural, which illustrates this. "My fairies and I watch over them and when someone needs to remember what's important, we help them." The two take a second to admire the immense beauty of the mural before them. "We had everyone's here." She looks to Jack. "Yours too." Jack looks to Tooth a bit taken back. "My memories?" Tooth turns to face Jack. "From when you were young. Before you became Jack Frost." "But, I wasn't anyone before I was Jack Frost." "Of course you were. We were all someone before we were chosen." Jack stepped back alongside Y/N, stunned with this new information. "What?" North chuckles. "You should've seen Bunny." Bunny's eyes widened glancing down at a curious looking Pixie, then narrowed his eyes, pointing a finger at North. "Hey, I told you never to mention that!" Jack, confused, is trying to process all this. "That night at the pond...I just, why I assumed...are you saying, are you saying I had a life before that? With a home? And a family?" "You really don't remember?" Y/N turned to look at Jack concerned. Jack's expression says it all. Finally the key to all his questions. "All these years, and the answers were right here. If I find my memories, then I'll know why I'm here." He removed his arm from Y/N and looked to Tooth, excited. "You have to show me." Jack, using the control of the wind, lifts up off the ground, grabbing Y/N by the wrist and flying across the pond. "Whoa!" Y/N exclaimed. "I...I can't Jack. Pitch has them." Jack floats down onto a rock, releasing Y/N allowing her to stand next to him, overlooking the Guardians. "Then we have to get them back!" Suddenly, a patch of Tooth's feathers fan out, and disappears. The Guardians eyes fill with worry. "Oh no!" Tooth looks down, devastated. Jack and Y/N are stricken. Y/N looks back behind Tooth, the ancient mural begins to disintegrate. "Jack, l-look.." He looks on worried. "The children. We're too late." "No! No! No such thing as too late!" North gets an idea. Pixie glances at him, sensing this. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Idea!" He points his sword at Bunny, causing Bunny to lean back from the sharp point. "Huh?" He looks at North oddly, while Pixie giggles, watching with amusement in her blue/grey eyes. North's gleeful as he glances around the group, while the group looks at him like he's crazy, which can be debated. "We will collect the teeth!" Tooth swings her arms down, expressing her confusion. "What?" North smiles confidently, explaining his idea. "We get teeth! Children keep believing in you!" Y/N looks down at him from her perch on the giant rock Jack placed her on, tucking a colorful strand behind her ear. "Uh..what?" Tooth hovers anxiously in front of them. "We're talking seven continents! Millions of kids!" "Give me break! You know how many toys I deliver in one night?" Pixie smiles at him. Y/N and Jack watch the people below them with interest. "And eggs I hide in one day?" North turns to Jack and Y/N as Bunny smiled prideful at a blushing Pixie. "And, Jack.." The others turn to look up at Jack proudly, except for Bunny, who looks at him annoyed. "If you help us, we will get you your memories." Jack looks to Tooth, who gives him a reassuring smile. Sandy gives two enthusiastic thumbs up, while Bunny groans rolling his eyes. Pixie claps her hands together a bit, an encouraging smile on her lips. He then turns his head, looking at Y/N. The neon girl smiled brightly at him, nodding her head. "L-Lets do it, Frosty." He chuckles, then looks back to North with a smile. "I'm in." Jack side glances at Y/N with admiration, wanting to never see her without a smile on her beautiful face. "We're in."
