<Y/N's P.O.V>
My everything had a lingering pain as I awoke on...ice? I groaned as I lifted my head and looked around, slowly sitting myself up when I heard the familiar voice of Jack. "Whoa. Hey, hey, hey, take it easy, snowflake. With what..." He hesitated as I stared at him softly, shivering due to the freezing temperature. "...what happened to you. Just, just try to rest. I would hold you, but..I don't want to worsen your condition." His blue eyes looked at me with so much sympathy and love. I parted my cold, slightly cracked lips to speak. "It's, it's cold a-and dark here." Jack chuckled lightly. "Nice observation, snowflake. Think you're kinda overselling it though." I smiled at him and crawled over to sit next to him. I laid my head on his shoulder as I sighed. My face heated up as he grabbed my hand and we intertwined our fingers. "I, I, I don't care where I am as long as I'm with you. I'm safe with you, Frosty. You're my Guardian. And..." I was indecisive with this particular word I was about to spring up on Jack, but I knew it was true. And I wanted to be with him for all of our immortal lives, I've just been scared to find out if he truly felt the same way. "...and I love that you'll always be there for me. And...I love you for that. I, I love you, Jack." I looked up at him to find him staring at me, seemingly stunned. I blushed and cleared my throat, shaking my head. "I-I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It was too early to say that. God, why did I say the word love? Just, j-just forget I said anything. I-I wasn't-" I had gotten cut off by Jack's cold lips suddenly placed on mine. My eyes widened and suddenly all the cold I felt before melted away and I was now very warm, as if I've been in front of a fireplace for a long period of time. Jack's eyes were closed as he continued to kiss me. I somewhat snapped out of my shock and began shyly kissing him back. I've never been kissed before so I tried to follow his lead. I felt Jack smile in the kiss then he pulled away, leaving me flustered and breathless. It was a short lived kiss, but I'll never forget the passion my first kiss held. While I was processing what just happened, Jack looked at me with a smirk, though he couldn't hide the faint blush on his smug face. My voice came out almost as soft toned as Stardust's as I stumbled with my words. "I...I-I can't believe...I mean, does, does this mean-" "That I feel the same way. And that I want you? Yes, yes it does, snowflake." I smiled brightly, feeling tears emerge in the corners of my eyes. I leaped onto him, hugging him as tight as I could. "Whoa!" He laughed and immediately wrapped his arms around me, hugging me back just as tightly. He held me close to his chest, and I could practically feel the love and adoration radiating off of him. Our embrace was full of passion and love. I never wanted to let go, and I'm thinking he felt the same exact way. Alas, all good things eventually come to an end. He squeezed me. "I love you more than you'll ever know, snowflake." He then unwrapped his arms from around my body and leaned back onto the icy wall of the ice fissure. I, reluctantly, let him go and sat up straight while still sitting in his lap. I stared at him as he let out a stressed sigh. "Jack? I...I know this question is kinda overrated at this point, but..are you okay?" He chuckled, staring upwards at the cracked opening of our icy enclosure. "Am I okay?" He repeated, almost mockingly. He looked away from staring upwards and looked at me, placing his cold hands on my thighs. My face heated up as he began tracing his fingers slowly on the cold, sensitive skin of my thighs. "I'm not worried about myself, Y/N. I'm more worried and concerned for you. I...I should've...I should've been there for you. I should've kicked his ass for...for..." His facial expression showed a mixture of hurt, anger and self-loathing. My face softened as I reached my hand up to gently touch his face. I cupped his cheek and caressed it a bit with my thumb. "I'm, I'm fine though, Frosty. Look at me." He lifted his eyes as his hand gently grabbed the wrist of my hand that was caressing his cheek. "See? I'm fine. We both are. And I will always be fine as long as I know you'll be there for me. And I believe in you, Jack. I know you'll always be there for me. Just like you are here and now." He looked at me sadly, still thinking of how he wasn't there to stop Pitch from beating you. He gripped my wrist a bit tighter, but not tight enough to bring forth pain. "I wasn't there for you. Pitch could have done even worse, and...and, I wasn't there for you. I failed as your Guardian. I'm just...just such a child. I'm not good enough for the children of the world. And I'm not good enough for you." My eyes began to water as he said those harsh words. He began to lift me out of his lap. "Wha-What?" He avoided eye contact with me as a tear slipped from my eye. I quickly wiped it away then placed my hands over his, which were on my waist, ready to move me. He still didn't make a glance at me. He let me remove his hands as I stayed in his lap. I waited a moment, to recollect myself. "Jack, please look at me." He did and I smiled at him softly then raised my hand and slapped him hard on the cheek. He touched the red part of his face where I slapped him then looked at me with wide blue eyes. "Wha-What the hell was that for?" I crossed my arms over my chest and looked down at him. "That, my love, was attempted motivation. How'd I do?" I smiled at him, waiting for his answer while he rubbed his reddened cheek. "Geez, where was that fire when you were with Pitch?" He chuckled and I tilted my head at him. "Frosty, I'm not the only one who got battered up. You should've s-seen Pitch before he abandoned me to hunt you down." He removed his hand from his face and just stared at me with adoration. "God, I love you, Y/N." I blushed faintly and giggled. "Plus, if I couldn't handle a little beating, we wouldn't have as much fun with each other." He stared at me with a hint of confusion. I blinked, then shook my head. "You..don't know what I mean by that? Really? Wow, Frosty, I didn't think you were so innocent." He chuckled sarcastically. "Okay, snowflake. Very cute." He readjusted himself to where he sat straight up and looked down at me with piercing blue eyes and a light smirk. He snaked his arms around my waist and stomach, causing me to blush brightly. "I'm on the naughty list. And, I hold the record. So, ah, what's that tell ya, snowflake?" I cleared my throat and spoke softly, barely able to hold eye contact with him. "We-Well, I believe that tells me that y-you're a child, Jack Frost." He looked down at me with a raised eyebrow and fake hurt. "Excuse me? How dare thee fine lady direct such harsh words at me." I stifled a giggle, my turn to raise an eyebrow. "Is that how people spoke before you died?" He just smirked at me and we locked eyes, just staring at each other with love. A moment later, and my eyes slightly widened. "Baby Tooth." Jack looked at me with facial recognition and realization. "Where is she?" He gently removed me, reluctantly, from his lap while he looked around for the tiny fairy. "Jack." He looked at me, then slowly followed my gaze. He noticed Baby Tooth, lying lifelessly on the ground. "Baby Tooth!" He sprung from his position next to me and pulled himself to the mini fairy, and cradles her in his hands. "Is, Is she alright?" He glanced at me then turned back to Baby Tooth. "You alright?" Baby Tooth nods, but leaning over Jack's shoulder I could see she's hurt and cold. Frosty does his best to shield her from the cold. I couldn't help but watch with adoration. I also couldn't help but think how lucky I was to have him, to be able to call him mine. His voice interrupted my thoughts. "Sorry, all I can do is keep you cold." Jack sits up and holds Baby Tooth in his hands. "Pitch was right-" I cut him off, hugging him from behind. "No, he wasn't. You do not make a mess of everything." I could tell he wanted to believe what I said was true, but he was devastated, due to recent events which got him and his snowflake where they are now. Baby Tooth's never seen him like this; she found it heartbreaking. While Jack was lost in devastation, I noticed Baby Tooth had a possible helpful thought. I watched curiously as her expression hardened with determination, watching her little form wriggle deep into Jack's hoodie pocket. Jack takes notice and jumps a bit. "Hey?" I stifle a giggle while he leans back and begins to close his eyes until he hears a familiar voice from his memories. My eyes widened as I looked towards where Baby Tooth went. Jack's pocket. "Jack...Jack..." I gasped. "It's that ominous voice!" Jack then looks down, as if feeling something. I follow his gaze to see that there's a soft, golden glow coming from his pocket. "Wow." I say breathlessly. "Now I really feel like I'm on Acid." Jack jumps, taken aback, then chuckles; staring down at his glowing pocket. "Oh, good. You're seeing it too." He reaches in and pulls out the tooth box, which is pulsing with light. Both me and Jack look on with curiosity as our ears catch the voice again. "Jack..." Jack looks down to Baby Tooth, who gives him a reassuring look. I move off to the side to give him some space. He notices and looks over to me. I smile lightly at him and made a "go on" motion with my hands. Baby Tooth motions to the box, then looks back at Jack. His hand slowly reaches to touch the box, but as he does its top magically unfolds to reveal a handful of baby teeth. My eyes widened as I then witnessed the box and everything else glow bright with intense light. "It's so beautiful. And really blinding."
<Jack's P.O.V>
I stared with a stunned expression as the glowing light intensified. Without looking in her direction, I agreed with snowflake's quiet comment. "Yeah. It really is." The walls of the fissure seem to suddenly fall away. In brief flashes, my eyes catch sight of the colonial settlement I visited often after Manny lifted me from my frozen coffin underneath the frozen pond. Children were running playfully down a hill. A woman's voice suddenly spoke, her voice sounded familiar. "Come on Jack, you can't have fun all the time." Children laugh with joy evident in their facial expressions as a familiar boy hangs upside down from a tree limb. "Jack, get down from there!" That voice. It's the same voice that called out to me from my tooth box. Who exactly is she? Another memory flashes before me. A happy family at a roaring fire as the same familiar looking boy jokes around with antlers on his head. "You're funny, Jack." A little boy remarked, laughing along with the other children. Then, another memory flashes before me. The familiar boy, a young man now, walks toward the woods and a pond that can be seen off in the distance with, assuming, with his younger sister. Their mother, with a face that looks familiar, calls out to the young man as the little girl pulls and tugs him along eagerly with excitement. "Be careful." Her son shakes his head like he's heard it a million times, but never pays it any mind. He laughs as he looks back to respond. "We will." He looks to his sister, who continues to tug him forward then glances back to their mother with a serious look to reassure her. Then, realization hits me. That young man with brown hair and brown eyes to match..is me. Or at least, it was me. That happy little girl is my sister. And that woman who called out to us to be cautious is my mom. This is my family. Memory me and my sister went towards the pond with ice skates. Both got onto the ice with no problems, but underneath my sisters skates, the ice began to crack. Memory me looked on with..what? I'm not sure. My facial expression is hard to read, but it's very intense. My brown eyes show concern though. In the background, dark winter trees and snow surround the scene. On the frozen pond, I looked at my frightened sister in a calm and serious manner. "It's okay. It's okay. Don't look down. Just look at me." I slowly reach down and carefully remove the second to two rudimentary ice-skates, leaving me barefoot on the icy surface of the frozen pond. Well, I thought to myself, that explains a lot. I look back to my sister, who's standing in her skates, rooted to the spot. A spider's web of cracks emanates from where she shakily stands. She looks up at me with wide eyes full of fear. "Jack, I'm scared." The ice below her splinters more. She wobbles as it starts to separate. "I know, I know...but you're gonna be alright. You're not gonna fall in. We're gonna have a little fun instead." She teeters a bit on the cracking ice. "No we're not!" "Would I trick you?" She looked to be fighting back tears. "Yes! You always play tricks!" I chuckle, attempting to lighten the mood for her then reply. "Well, alright. Well, not, not this time. I promise. I promise. You're gonna be...you're gonna be fine." I fix her gaze and hold it. There's nothing but the two of us. "You have to believe in me." She pauses a moment, then smiles through her fear. And just like that, my demeanor changes. A light is switched on inside me and the last thing that could be happening is what is actually happening. In both a casual and playful manner, I stand in my spot with confidence and give her a smile. "You wanna play a game? We're going to play hopscotch! Like we play everyday!" Her facial expression softens, like I helped reassure her. "It's as easy as...one...whooaa..." Showing her the first leap, I mug for her, almost losing my balance then catching myself. I receive a laugh from her. "Two..." I make the next leap. "Three!" I then turn toward her with my arms spread out. "Alright..." Without looking, I reach down to pick up a rather long hooked stick lying on the ice. I extend it towards her. "Now it's your turn." She looks down, trying to gather her courage. As I speak softly, my gaze never breaks away from her. "One..." She hops, wobbling, but catching her balance. "That's it, that's it. Two..." She's almost there, the stick-staff just beyond her reach. "Three." She grabs hold of the extended piece of wood and in one massive effort I sling her with all my might to safety. But the movement propels me into the cracked ice. I look up to see my sister safe, cracking a smile in relief, then suddenly plunged into the dark cold water. "Whoa..." "Jack!" Falling back into the icy cold water, the last thing I hear is my sisters fading voice calling out to me as I take my last breath. The memory shows my body gradually sinking underwater from the hole I fell in through the cracked ice, descending into the dark icy depths...until the full moon appears from behind the clouds as my hands claw through the water towards it, but it's helpless. The moon glows bright...brighter. And my body begins to glow, bathed in moonlight. My skin pales as the moon's light glows even brighter, until my brown hair turns white and my eyes open abruptly, my once brown eyes now flashing open to reveal bright blue ones. As my body is lifted out of the frozen pond, through the cracking ice, I breathe in a breath of fresh air as if I've been holding my breath for ages. Any tension and fear I had, melted away as I stared at the luminescent full moon. And...it's as if the moon itself...was staring back at me.
