Y/N and Pixie looked at North, waiting patiently for an answer. Sandy nodded, raising his hand. The girls turn to look down at him at the same time. The wisp of dreamsand above Sandy's head morphs into a barrage of images. Y/N smiled goofily, raising an eyebrow while Pixie tilted her head to the side, visibly confused. Jack crouches down to his level then stands back up to his full height while saying, "That's not really helping. But thanks, little man." Jack turns to Y/N with a smirk on his lips, then turns away to face the Guardians, feeling satisfied with Y/N's reaction. Pixie side glanced curiously at her sister, giggling at how red her face got. Y/N ignored her sister's giggles and watched Jack try to get answers out of the Guardians for them. "I musta done something really bad to get you four together." Jack walks away from the group, frosting an elf with a tray of cookies as it marches past, then turns around with a half smile. "Am I on the naughty list?" North chuckles. "On naughty list? You hold record. But no matter. We overlook. Now we are wiping clean the slate." He looks at North with a raised eyebrow. "How come?" The Australian pooka reluctantly averts his gaze from Pixie after Jack asked his question. Bunny raises a finger as he speaks, more to North than the group. "Ah, good question." He looks at Jack, annoyed. North then raises an eyebrow, smiling widely. "How come? I tell you how come! Because now..you are Guardians!" He says, raising his arms joyfully. Loud music sounds and the girls flinch, looking at the band of marching elves wide eyed. Y/N giggles nervously before saying, "Wow..". Pixie looks on nervously, hiding behind Y/N, her shyness taking hold. "O-Oh boy.." Bunny notices Pixies action then wonders in his mind, 'She'd be a cute pooka with that timid nature of hers.' He shakes his head blushing, then focuses his attention on Jack to distract himself with any sarcastic comments he could come up with in response for the next few things Jack would say. Off Jack's confusion, yetis light ceremonial torches with a whoosh. Elves leap from columns, unfurling handmade, celebratory banners as they descend. Jack brushes off a few baby Teeth who try to present him with a necklace made of paper snowflakes. Despite the loud music, Y/N and Pixie watched Jack with amusement. Pixie attempts to talk to her sister over the loud noises with her soft toned voice. "Wh-What?" Pixie deadpan stared at her. She came out from her hiding spot and spoke up a bit. "I-I said, I wonder i-if they'll do the same f-for us!" Y/N giggled, turning her attention back to her newly found crush. "I-I hope not. Th-This, this looks embarrassing." Pixie giggled nervously, then gulps really hoping not as well, not one to be too fond of being the center of attention. "What are you doing! Get, get that offa me!" Jack's voice is drowned out by the sounds of trumpets and drums. "This is the best part!" North shouts gleefully. An elf marching band strikes up as two yetis move Jack on to a designated spot on the floor. Jack looks down to find an elf pointing at his bare feet. The elf then directs his attention to two approaching elves, carrying a pair of ceremonial boots. Jack's confusion escalates. "Huh?" A yeti hands North an old large book. North blows off the dust, opens it, and begins clearing his throat. The girls stand off to the side, near the globe, underneath the roofs opening where the light from outside floods in. Jack clenches his jaw as he scans the room. Y/N couldn't help but think how hot that looked. She swear she'd faint right now if she didn't know Pixie was a weakling with noodles for arms. Pixie sensed, and knew what he was about to do as she stared at him with nervous eyes. An innocent, unsuspecting Y/N just watched him blushing brightly with dreamy eyes. The mini Teeth continue to fawn, Sandy's smiling like the happy little golden man he is, Bunny's apathetic and North looks on with pride. Jack suddenly slams his staff down, sending a blast of frost and wind across the room. The torches go out and everything comes to a halt. Jack looks over apologetically to a surprised looking Y/N, then to Pixie seeing her gaze softening as if she knew what he was thinking and feeling at the moment. In which case, she did. He smiled softly at the pinkette then turned to face the Guardians with an apprehensive tone. "What makes you think I want to be a Guardian?" North bursts out in laughter holding the book in his hands then stops and looks to Jack, stone faced. "Of course you do." He motions to the elves, almost hitting Tooth who was hovering right next to him. "Music!" The elves blare the trumpets again, causing the girls to flinch once more. They were surprised that Bunny was calm through all this loud music seeing as he has excellent hearing being a pooka and all. Jack orders the elves to stop. "No music!" The music peters out again and the girls sigh in relief. Bunny chuckles at them quietly. An elf throws his trumpet to the ground and storms off. North, displeased, glowers. "Look, this is all very flattering, but ah..you don't want me. You're all hard work and deadlines. And I'm snowballs and fun times. I don't know about Y/N or Wanda over there, but I'm not a Guardian." Y/N smiled at Jacks Marvel reference with Pixie as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "A-Ah..i-it's Pixie.." Pixie shyly speaks up. Jack just smiles at her then turns back to the Guardians. Bunny's green eyes glare at Jack with envy, a slight smirk on his lips trying to keep his jealousy hidden. "Yeah, that's exactly what I said!" Tooth gave Bunny a look then faced Jack. "Jack, I don't think you understand what it is we do." The Tooth Fairy swoops in and turns Jack's attention to the massive globe behind him. "Each of those lights is a child." Jack looks up at the globe, taking in the enormity of this. North suddenly moves to Jacks side while Y/N and Pixie stare at the globe in awe. "Wow..y-you guys got a lot of believers." Pixie commented, then turned to North sensing he was about to speak. She poked Y/N on the shoulder twice, gaining her attention Pixie tilted her head directing her eyes to North then back to Y/N, silently communicating to her to focus on North. Y/N gave her sister a small smile with a faint blush then turned to face North as well. "A child who believes. And good or bad, naughty or nice, we protect them." "Whoa, you, you guys a-are awesome! I-I knew you guys were legends, b-but this is next level. I would've never imagined you guys looking like this a-and, and doing what you do. I mean, Guardians. You guys e-even have a title for yourselves." Y/N was slightly fangirling at the moment as Pixie looked at her sister then to North, Bunny and Sandy bashfully. "U-Uh..sh-she's normally n-not like this, I-I promise." Pixie apologized while Y/N took a breather. The three Guardians smiled at them. Y/N smiled back at them softly. "I..j-just want to say thank you..for all y-you've done for me and Pix a-and all the children who believe." Pixie smiled at her sister then turned to the Guardians again. "Well, you're welcome, mate." Bunny nodded once at them, then directed his eyes to Pixie with a proud smile. Pixie blushed brightly then looked to the side shyly, not knowing the reason why she felt so attracted to him. I mean, she knew attraction and lust were just chemicals and hormones. Needless to say, the timid girl does not believe in love, yet here she was just as red as a tomato wanting nothing more than to just be in his strong arms. Y/N would've teased her about it, had she not noticed Tooth in Jack's face. "S-Seriously?" Y/N mumbled quietly, looking at Tooth, envious. North notices too then commanded, "Tooth, fingers out of mouth." Tooth quickly removes her fingers. "Oh, sorry. They're beautiful." Y/N looks down a little saddened, wondering how she could even compete with such a flawless female. Well, not flawless..she does have flaws. Y/N looks back up, then blushed shyly seeing Jack staring at her. She blinks once then averts her eyes to North to avoid Jack seeing her slightly watery eyes. She blinked a few times to get rid of the future tears. Jack looked at Y/N with concern in his eyes, then turned to hear what North had to say next, moving away from the globe and back toward the center of the room. "Okay, no more wishy-washy! Pitch is out there doing who knows what!" "Pitch? Wh-Who's Pitch?" Pixie asked warily, figuring this Pitch character was the main reason for her and Y/N being here. "Y-You got something in common w-with whoever it is." Pixie tilts her head, looking at her sister oddly. "Wh-Wh..what?" Y/N giggled at Pixies timid nature. "You both have a-an odd, unique name." Pixie just deadpan stared at her sister as Jack shook his head, smiling. Jack then scoffs, turning to North. "Pitch..you mean the Boogeyman?" "Yes!" North stresses. "When Pitch threatens us, he threatens them as well." North points to the lights on the globe. "So..basically.." Y/N started then Pixie finished. "Some s-serious shit's about to go down." Y/N looked up at the globe, then said to Pixie. "What'd I tell ya Pix..meant for something more..." The H/C haired girl glanced at her sister with an excited glimmer in her eyes. Pixie just smiled nervously at her in return.
