The Guardians arrived in Burgess and began their tooth hunt throughout the town. Y/N waved to her sister. "See ya laters sis. Me and Frosty are gonna beat you and your pet bunny." She blushed brightly while Bunny chuckled, nodding once at Y/N. "I can tell ya sheila, I'm not the 'pet' in this relationship." Pixie blushed even brighter at his statement. Bunny smirked at this and raced off with a flustered Pixie. Jack chuckled as they left and leaped into the air with a stunned Y/N on his arm. "I, I wasn't expecting that kind o-of response from him. Surprising." Jack smiled. "You think? I don't think it's that surprising. I mean, he's been alone for years..no females to accompany him..so, so yeah I can definitely see him being the dominant one." Jack stated, honestly. She took a moment to take what he said in, then turned to look at him curiously. "Well, then Jack..what ah, what's that say about you? Mister been-eighteen-and-alone-for-over-three-hundred-years?" He smirked. "Heh, well that depends snowflake. What do you want it to say about me?" She giggles nervously as a blush creeps onto her cheeks. "W-Well..uh..." She trails off as she catches sight of Tooth flying into her old house, into Jamie's bedroom. "JJ..." Jack raises an eyebrow, confused. "What?" She shakes her head, embarrassed. "N-No, ah..I, I mean my little brother, Jamie! I just seen Tooth enter his room." Jack chuckles. "Oh, now that makes more sense. How about we stop by, yeah?" Y/N smiles at him, silently pleading. He couldn't help but smile at her with admiration. "Wh-What?" She asks curiously as he stared at her. She barely had time to react before he quickly leaned closer to her and kissed her cheek. She felt the cool lingering feeling of his cold lips on her skin once he pulled away. She was flustered as they swooped into Jamie's room, almost giving Tooth a heart attack. "Jack, Y/N..hi! You, you scared me." Jack walks over to the other side of Jamie's room still having his arm around Y/N. "Heh, sorry Tooth. Y/N just wanted to see Jamie." Tooth turned to Y/N with a light smile. "Jamie's your little brother. I understand. You're a wonderful big sister for him, Y/N. He looks up to you." Y/N looks at Jamie warmly then back to Tooth curiously. "How do you...?" She touches the ground, bending down to Jamie's head. Reaching under the pillow, and pulling out his tooth she looked up to Y/N. "Guardian of memories, remember? I gain a lot of information from the teeth me and my fairies collect. Jamie's memories hold many perspectives with his big sister, whom he looks up to...Y/N." She smiles down at Jamie as Tooth said this. Tooth then averts her eyes to Jack, who's looking at Jamie's drawing of that day he lost his tooth because of Jack. Y/N giggles quietly seeing the little gap in his mouth, which is revealed due to him smiling in his sleep. "Left central incisor, knocked out in a freak sledding accident. I wonder how that could have happened, Jack?" Y/N crossed her arms, turning to look at Jack, a knowing smile on her lips. Jack laughs as he looks at Jamie's drawing of himself during the snowball fight on the wall. He smiles, then turns to Tooth and Y/N. "Heh, kids huh?" Tooth expertly twirls a coin between her fingers, then places it under Jamie's pillow. She smiles as the two watch the hummingbird-human hybrid hover over Jamie as he stirs in his sleep. A dreamy smile comes over her as she gazes down at the sleeping boy. Y/N looks at Jamie with the same facial expression, but more lovingly because of him being her family. "I'm going to miss little JJ..." Jack side hugs Y/N, in a comforting manner. "Don't worry snowflake. Once Pitch is defeated, we'll come back here to visit him as often as you'd like. Sound good?" She laughs a little, nodding and leaning into Jack. "Yeah..I-I'd really like that." After a moment of silence, and watching the innocent child sleep peacefully, Tooth's soft voice spoke up. "This was always the part I liked most; seeing the kids. Why did I ever stop doing this?" Y/N smiles at her genuinely, seeing how much it means to her. Jack spoke up next in a hushed tone. "It's a little different up close, huh?" Tooth gives him a look. "H-He's right." Tooth and Y/N smile at each other. Tooth then turns to Jack, sympathetic. "I thanked Y/N earlier, b-but I'll give thanks again. Thanks for being here, guys. I wish I had known about your memory. I could've helped you, Jack." He glances at Y/N then looks to Tooth in a serious manner. "Yeah, well, look let's just get you taken care of. Then it's Pitch's turn, huh?" A sudden commotion. The trio turn to the window. "Here you are!" North, carrying a large sack over his shoulder, struggles to climb in through the small window. Sandman and Baby Tooth climb in after. Everybody whispers loudly. "Ssshhh!" Tooth points to a sleeping Jamie with wide eyes. "Oh, what gives slowpokes?!" Y/N checks on her little brother. "Good, still sound asleep." North then smiles. "How you feeling, Toothy?" She flies over to North with a bright smile. "Believed in." North laughs. "That's what I want to hear." "Oh I see how it is..." Bunny comes in through a rabbit hole in the floorboards and stands adjacent from the others as Pixie waves, a small smile on her face. "Hi friends. Very happy you're feeling better, Tooth!" Tooth gives Pixie a warm smile. "Thank you, Stardust." "All working together to make sure the rabbit gets last place, yeah?" Pixie gives the group an embarrassed smile, shrugging her shoulders. North now holds his index fingers up to his lips. "Sssshhhh!" Bunny puts his paws up in defense, looking around a bit confused. "You think I need help to beat a bunny? Check it out, Peter Cottontail." Jack says as he walks closer to Bunny while Y/N held their sack of teeth up in midair with her mind, a grin on her multi-colored lips. "You call that a bag of choppers?" He held his open paw out to Pixie, then after being handed to him, lifts the pairs slightly larger sack up in Jacks face. "Now that's a bag of choppers." North steps up to input his words in. "Gentlemen! Gentlemen! This is about Tooth, it is not a competition!" Pixie watched North, nervous. "Oh boy." "But if it was..." He throws down his even larger sack in the center of the group. "I win. Yeeeehaaaah!" Pixies eyes widen. "Oh, North." And he strikes a Russian dancing pose as suddenly a bright circle of light is cast on the Guardians. "Oh no.." North and Pixie say at the same time. Jamie, now fully awake, looks at the people in front of him surprised. "Santa Claus?" They all turn slowly to Jamie sitting up in bed, holding a flashlight, wide awake and beaming in disbelief. "The Easter Bunny?" The pooka chuckles nervously, while Pixie hid herself behind him, not wanting to face Jamie in fear of finding out if he can see her or not. Jamie continues flashing his light on each individual with bright eyes. "Sandman.." Sandy waves, smiling happily. "The Tooth Fairy! I knew you'd come!" "Surprise!" She giggles. "We came!" "JJ.." Y/N said softly. He turned to her, his eyes widening slightly. "Y-Y/N? Why..how do you look so different? What happened to your S/C tone a-and your H/L H/C hair?" He gasped. "A-Are you one of them?!" Y/N giggled, going over to his bedside. She sat on the edge and smiled at him. "Y-Yeah, kinda, I am. And..I just want you to know..I'll always come to visit a-and now I can protect you for real." He smiled up at her widely. "You've always protected me, sis. You taught me to have faith and I trust you! I know you'll always be here for me. Oh! Mom's been wondering where you and Pix are. I just thought you guys were at a friend's house so I told her that, I hope that's okay." Y/N giggled softly, nodding her head. "That's great, JJ. Thanks." He smiles then jumps up a bit and hugs her. She hugs him back tightly. "I love you, sis." They pull away and smile at each other. Y/N pats his head. "I love you too, lil bro." Jack speaks up, shocked, but Jamie doesn't hear him. "He, he can see us?" Jamie looks around, amazed, he sees everyone but Pixie and Jack. Not Pixie, only due to her hiding behind Bunny, at least that's what she's hoping. Bunny looks at Jack, a tiny bit of sympathy in his eyes. "Most of us." Tooth jerks to attention. "You guys, he's still awake!" "Sandy! Knock him out!" They all look to him, scandalized. Y/N quickly turns her head to see Jamie looking concerned as Sandman steps forward, pounding his fist into his other hand, open palm. "Huh?" "With the dreamsand, ya gumbies." Pixie giggled, then before anyone could do anything else, Y/N formed her own dreamsand ball in her palm. She smiled at Jamie as he turned to face her. "Me and Starry will see you laters, Jamie." Jamie tilted his head slightly, wondering aloud. "Starry?" She just smiled as she stood from her seat on his bed, then raised her hand and dropped the neon colored ball of dreamsand onto his head. In a split second he immediately fell onto his side, peacefully sound asleep. The group looked at her surprised. "What?" Sandy's surprised look converted to a look that communicated "touché" which Y/N giggled at. Then Abbey, the Bennett's greyhound, rises up, fully awake. Her nostrils flaring at the scent she's picked up. Y/N rushed over to her. "Abbey! No. Down, girl!" Abbey stared at Y/N, calming down, as if knowing it was Y/N. Abbey then suddenly flares her nostrils again and goes nose to nose with Bunny. Y/N looks to her sister. "Uh, hey animal lover, a-a little help?" Pixie blushes, then slips off of Bunny's back. Preparing to coax Abbey into a calming state. Bunny puts his arm out in front of her, stopping her in her tracks. "A-Aster?" He has a stare-off with Abbey while he remembers when they were collecting teeth Pixie teased him about his fear of dogs. He wanted to prove to his crush that she was wrong, like the egotistical pooka he is. "Aster, d-don't overthink this." Jack smirks at Bunny from his side of the room. "Yeah, I'd listen to your girlfriend, kangaroo." He scoffs at Jack. "Alright, nobody panic." Y/N looks at Jack, seeing that he's obviously enjoying this. "But that's a um, that's a greyhound. Do you know what greyhounds do to rabbits?" "I think it's a pretty safe bet he's never met a rabbit like me." Y/N and Pixie spoke up. "She!" Pixie cleared her throat and looked at Bunny warily. "Abbey's a-a she Aster. And, don't be so cocky. Your, your egos gonna get you killed some day if you don't take a chill pill!" Y/N giggled and whispered to Jack. "Or a Xanny." Jack snickered. While Sandy forms a dreamsand baseball, Jack rolls his eyes and notices an alarm clock on the bedside table. "Jack.." Y/N says, warningly. She then whisper yells at him. "I know what your thinking! It's a great prank on Bunny, but we have more pressing matters, s-so don't do it, Frosty." Meanwhile, Bunny's rambling on about himself. "Six foot one, nerves of steel, master of Tai-Chi and the ancient arts of-" Jack can't resist; he reaches over stealthily as Y/N and Pixie widens their eyes. "Oh, no. J-Jack, don't!" Pixie whisper shouts across the room to him. Too late, Jack sets off the alarm clock with his staff. The noise riles Abbey up and she growls at Bunny. "Crikey." Bunny is off like a shot, the greyhound right on his tail, running laps in the small room, the dog barking like crazy. Amidst the chaos, Pixie stumbles out of the way and shouts to her sister. "Y/N! Wh-Why didn't you use your mind t-to take his staff from his hands?!" Y/N ducked, wide eyed, barely missing Bunny, then popped back up and looked at her sister. "Would it really have, have done any good? He would've j-just done it another way! Also, what about you, huh? You could've coaxed Abbey but instead you let your egotistical, over-confident boyfriend drive!" Pixie was about to protest, but she knew her sister was right so she stood awkwardly and smiled at Y/N bashfully. Y/N nodded, smiling. "Uh-huh." She then seen the approaching dog and rabbit chase and dodged out of the way. "Whoa! J-Jack!" He chuckled and dodged the chaos. He grabbed Y/N quickly from the floor and flew to the side, out of the commotion. "You're welcome." She huffed and stood closely to him, letting her vibrant hair to fall in her face. He noticed and tucked it behind her ear. She didn't look at him, too flustered at the moment. Pixie shouted from afar, in attempt to get Abbey's attention. "Stop! Sit, Abbey!" Sandy, amused, makes a dreamsand baseball to stop the dog, but bobbles it as the dog brushes past. "Down, girl! Down!" Jack watches with amusement, asking Y/N. "Why doesn't Starry just use her powers?" Y/N tilts her head, shrugging. "I dunno. She's an animal lover...maybe she's afraid she'd hurt her." Jack nods, and continues watching. The others attempt to stand out of the way in the small room as Bunny and Abbey run up the walls and over the bed. As Tooth tries to silence the alarm clock, Jack can barely contain his laughter. Y/N doesn't even try to contain her laughter. The colorful haired girl lets out her giggles while Sandy takes aim as Bunny and Abbey run circles around him. North struggles to keep out of the way. "Sandy, Sandy!" The dog jumps past North, knocking him back. "Ah!" North exclaims as Sandy winds up. Pixie gasps. Right as Abbey was about to smack into Sandy, her eyes glowed red as she used her powers to lift Abbey away from the Sandman gently. She placed Abbey down safely, the maroon colored energy fading off of the dogs body. Her eyes went back to normal and she smiled softly, bending down and petting Abbey happily. "You silly girl. Aster's no threat." The dog licked Pixies cheek then jumped on her excitedly. Pixie fell over, Abbey licking her face gleefully as she lay on the floor giggling. "Abbey!" The red head then looked over to see Sandy's dreamsand go flying. "Huh? H-How?" She sat up and turned to see Y/N smiling widely, then shook her head knowingly. "Y/N!" Y/N looked curiously down to her sister on the floor then smiled innocently, raising her arms and shrugging. "What?" Pixie then giggled softly. "Why?" "Because...why not? I-I mean, Frosty started it!" Jack looked at her, with a fake dramatic look. "Hey!" Y/N just laughed as Jack looked to Pixie, who's still on the floor. "It is true though, I did start it, Starry. I'm not ashamed. No regrets." Pixie gave the two an unamused look. "I-I don't like you two together. Apart you both a-are enough, but together y-you guys are like a nightmare from Pitch." Jack chuckled. "Ouch, that hurt, Starry." The red head gave him a playful smile. He just smiled at her then turned back to watch the chaos he and Y/N started unfold. "Hey, this is not proper Tooth Fairy behavior!" North ducks out of the way as the dreamsand sails towards him. The dreamsand baseball smacks Tooth right in the face and explodes into golden dust. Tooth and her fairy fall to the ground as a golden tooth takes shape above their heads. Streams of dreamsand make their way around the room. Bunny gets a whiff of the golden sand. The image of a carrot quickly takes shape in front of his face as he falls. "Oh no." Bunny falls over with a thud, asleep. So does Abbey. Pixie covers her face and quickly gets up off of the floor, stumbling. She moves over to the ones who started the mess of chaotic events. Her giggles are muffled due to her hand covering her mouth as she watches the scene unfold with Jack and Y/N. North tries to scramble out of the way, but there's no escape in this tiny room. "Candy canes..." He teeters for a moment as dreamsand candy canes appear before him, then falls like a giant Sequoia, landing on the end of Jamie's bed, which sends Jamie flying through the air. "Whoa!" Jamie yells, wide awake again. "Oof!" Luckily he lands in Sandy's arms. He starts to wake up, again, but Sandy is there with a fistful of sand. And Jamie too is out cold. Jack, Y/N, Pixie and Sandy look down at the sleeping boy, relieved. Then they look around, a heap of sleeping, snoring bodies. "Whoops.." Jack says innocently. North and Bunny's dreams collide, and the carrot and candy cane hold hands as they dance above their heads. Jack comes down off the dresser, grabbing Y/N's wrist since she was sitting on the dresser next to him, her legs dangling and swinging over the edge. She squeaks as he did so. The trio turns to Sandy, who has put Jamie back in bed. Pixie slowly brings her hand down, her mouth slightly agape. "Wow..you've got some powerful stuff there, Sandy." He turns to smile at Pixie. Sandy lifts North's arm and lets go, it's completely limp and falls flat. Sandy smiles at Jack, who chuckles. "Oh, I really wish I had a camera right now." Y/N giggles then halts. "Oh my god..hold up. My phone! It's, it's in my room. Holy shit. I-I'll be right back!" Jack watches her figure leave, amused. Pixie giggles uncontrollably. "O-Oh, oh man..she's never gonna let Bunny live this down. He's gonna freak." Jack laughs as Sandy watches with amusement. Y/N came running back in, phone in hand. "This is too good." Jack said as she readied her phones camera, sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth. She saved the picture then tucked her phone in her pocket, smiling brightly. "Oh, I'm never letting Bunny live this down." Pixie giggled. "C-Called it." Sandy's eyes suddenly widen. Pixie notices, looking down at him concerned. "Sandy?" There's a nightmare behind Jack. "Look!" Y/N says, pointing behind Jack. He quickly turns to see a nightmare staring through the window. Without hesitation, Jack jumps out the window after it. "Y/N, stay here with the sleeping dorks! Sandy, come on! We can find Pitch!" Sandy pauses for a moment, then follows Jack's lead. Pixie leaps onto the windows ledge. "Pix, come on. You're leaving me too? What if, what if Pitch gets you this time? What if he hurts you?" She hesitates, then looks back to a worried Y/N. "I'll...I'll be fine. I have Jack and Sandy. I'm safe with them." "B-But Pix..you freeze up when it comes to Pitch. If something happens to Sandy and Jack..j-just think logically here, sis. Come on! You'll be paralyzed by fear..and he'll be able to do anything. The worst things imaginable I'd believe. You're helpless without your powers. We both are. P-Please don't go." Pixie smiles at her sister sympathetically. "I understand Y/N, but..I-I have to go. I-If we find Pitch..we could end this. Here. And. Now. For the children. For, for Jamie a-and Sofie. We'll be right back. Watch the others." Then Pixie leaps off the ledge, using her maroon energy to fly her through the air, following the direction Jack and Sandy flew in. Y/N looks on with fear and worry in her eyes. "Why does no one ever listen to me? Not like I'm Loki, the God of lies and trickery." She sighs plopping onto the floor, leaning on the wall. A smile comes on her colorful lips. She takes out her phone and takes several embarrassing pictures of the sleeping Guardians. "So worth being left behind." The vibrant girl giggled.
