⚠️TRIGGER WARNING! this chapter includes a section that may trigger some readers! I will give you another warning before and afterwards.⚠️

I got home from school that day and without saying a word to anybody walked straight to my room and flopped onto the bed, locking the door. Flash had given me such a tough time I had honestly almost relapsed at lunch. If peter wasn't there to stop me, I don't know what I would have done. I dropped my bag onto the floor and sighed, looking around my room for something to keep my mind off the fact that I want to jump out the window and kill someone with my impact. My eyes landed on my palm scanner and I walked over to it and put my hand down, watching the doors pop open. I grabbed my suit and swords, got into it and grabbed my shield. I opened up the window and started crawling down the glass to the floor. I started running around and looking for anything to do.

⚠️things start escalating here⚠️

I came across a tall man, ripping the shirt off of a younger woman. Her purse was sitting there alone at the end of an alleyway. I froze for a moment before jumping down and knocking him unconscious. I turned back to the woman and offered her my hand, passing her shirt back to her. "Ma'am, are you alright?" I asked. "Please, don't do this." She said, slowly stepping backwards to the end of the alley. "Ma'am, I'm not going to hurt you. I promise. I'm one of the good guys. I said, passing her purse to her. "Who is this guy?" I asked. "I-i don't know. He pulled me aside and it all happened so fast-" she started spiraling as tears streamed down her face. "Hey, it's ok. Let's go find an officer." I said, walking her out of the alley. "What's your name?" I asked her, trying to distract her. "Melanie." She replied. "Hey melody, I'm your friendly neighborhood superhero." I smiled.

⚠️this section is done.⚠️

We continued walking down the street until we reached a police station, just a small, petty theft one. I walked inside with Melanie and up to the officer. "Excuse me, I think we could be of your service." I said. "Uh-huh. The system is down, it might take a while to take your state- Melanie?" She started, interrupting herself. "Oh my god, Frankie!" She smiled, hugging her over the desk. "Mel, what happened?" The officer asked. "I was walking to work and this guy pulled me aside." She started. "He did stuff to me Frankie." She sighed, tears streaming. "Melanie." The officer frowned, pulling her into another hug. "And you did what in this situation?" The officer asked me. "I stopped the guy before he got too close. He's in an alley not too far, I can bring him in." I said. "No need." Said a voice behind me.

I turned around and looked, Spiderman had the guy over his shoulder. "I could have done that, you didn't need to step in spider." I said, walking up to take the guy off his shoulder. "True, you could have. But I did." He replied, helping me take the guy. He was covered in sticky webs. "Does this stuff come out of you or something?" I asked. He shook his head and followed us to a holding cell. "Go ahead, drop him off. I'll take it from here but can I get your phone number in case we need to contact you?" The officer asked. "Get in touch with tony stark, he'll direct you to me." I smiled, walking out of the station and climbing the fire escape to the roof. I sat there and slid off my mask, taking in a deep breath and looking around. I took my hair and ruffled it around, messing it up and making it fit my face.

"Ahem." I heard. I whipped around and kept my face down, seeing familiar red boots. I felt around for my mask and grabbed hold of it, slipping it on. I looked up. "Can I help you?" I asked. "You did something dangerous, we can't let that happen in my city." He said. "Your city? You're not the only superhero around here buster, you take risks too, I'm sure of it." I said, standing up and getting in his face. "You're adorable, but keep helping with the little people and leave stuff like that to me." He warned, walking in a circle around me. "I don't think I will, thanks for the advice though." I smirked., grabbing hold of my small pocket knife. "Head home kid, I'm ok." I said, looking out over the city.

⚠️ warning, suicidal readers, I recommend you skip this too.⚠️

"Do you ever wonder, what if I just jumped?" I asked, looking out over the edge of the high building. "What?" He asked. "What if you just jumped? What would it matter? Who would care?" I continued. "Ok, let's get you away from that there ledge." He said, gently grabbing hold of my hand. "What if, one day, we all just took the risk and jumped? Depending on the person, it may not kill them." I continued speaking, lazily looking over the city, as if in a trance. "Please, stop." He replied. "Why wouldn't I just jump? I would survive, I would be fine." I continued. "Stop!" He yelled, walking in front of me and breaking my trance.

⚠️ it's over now ⚠️

He pulled off his mask and hugged me. I didn't catch much sight of his face until he pulled away from the hug. "P-Peter?" I said, waiting for confirmation. It was Peter, I had a crush, on peter fucking Parker.
