She was born without a heart
Where a heart should've been
Was a gaping hole
Of emptiness, pain, hurt, betrayalShe was relentless
She wanted revenge on the world
She was a blazing fire, angry and furious
Devouring everything and everyone in her path
Causing pain to everyone
Instilling fear in all
Just like how the little girl in her
Had always felt:
Lost, pained, scared. His soul was ripped to shreds
By his previous love
He had devoted his heart to her
So much that it was taken away from him
And he was left searching blindly for his broken pieces. They met one day
The girl tried to hurt him
As self-defence
Calling him useless and a coward
So that she wouldn't be hurt by him instead.
He shut her out
Ignoring her words
That were sharp as knives.Until he realised
She didn't mean it.
She was just as broken as he was.
He saw through her mask of hurtful words
And saw a scared little girl in her eyes.
Just like him, she was scared too.It was then when he promised himself
That he would be there for her
No matter what
Because when one knows how it feels like
To be broken and torn down
He would do anything
So that no one else would have to face that
All alone
Ever again.
...
He received a round of applause
As he gazed into his bride's eyes.
His bride finally learnt how to love again
Despite not knowing how to.
And at the same time,
She mended his broken soul
As he showered her with loveShe whispered in his ear
As they embraced in front of their family,
"Thanks for being the one
Who taught me to love again."
