"Woah! Don't die on me now!" Ethan says as he pulls me away from the curb.
I laugh.
"That's not funny Val! You could've gotten ran over!" He looks terrified.
"Well thank you for saving my life, hero." I smile.
"Well you are my valentine, I need you tonight." He smirks.
The light turns green and we cross the street going into a store.
"Val!" Alondra and Maria yell for me.
"Hey girls!" I run to hug them.
Ethan and Jake leave to the other side of the store to try on stuff to wear to the dance.
"Okay so the dance starts at 6:00pm, we have two hours!" Maria excitedly says.

"Guys it doesn't fit!" I say coming out of the dressing room.
"Okay Val just calm down." Maria says.
"I was always a medium and now it doesn't fit." I panic.
"Girl you gained more ass, that's all" Alondra tries to zipper the dress.
"No Alondra it's not fitting." I turn so she won't rip the dress.
"Your hips look a little wider than usual, what have you been eating Val?" Maria asks.
"Umm I've been eating a lot lately." I look down.
"Damn Val, watch your carbs!" Alondra laughs.
"Alondra, I've been hungry lately okay?" I say and then I suddenly run to the trash can and vomit.
"Ohhh girl you prego" Alondra laughs again.
I look up at them with my eyes wide.
"No"
"Val aren't you suppose to have your period around this time of month too?" Maria asks.
"I am." I realize that I'm late.
"If you are then you have to let Ethan know." Maria grabs my hand.
"No Maria, please. Not yet, at least until I'm actually sure."
"But Val-"
"Please Maria, I just don't want to do it here."
"Okay, you're right. But as soon as we leave here we're going to get a pregnancy test." She hugs me.
"I promise." I smile.

I'm at home getting ready when Ethan calls me.
"Hey beautiful, you ready yet?"
"Umm not quite, I just need to do a couple of more things. I'll call you when I'm done."
"Okay baby, I'll be there in twenty minutes"
"Okay, bye"
I hang up.
"Okay I got it!" Maria slams my room door holding up the pregnancy test.
"Thank you." I take it and go in the bathroom.
When I get out Maria and I wait on the bed.
Three minutes pass.
"I think you should check it now Val." She says.
"Yeah, just give me a second." I feel a strong pit in my stomach. I'm not ready to see the results.
Sure I'd love to start a family one day with Ethan but right now, we were still too young ourselves.
