I arrive at the party with Alondra. Maria didn't want to come.

It was midnight by now.

I see Grayson as soon as get out the car.

"Hey, you made it!" He smiles and hugs me.

"Of course you goof." I laugh.

"Sup Alo" he smiles.

"Hey, where's Jake?" She looks around.

"He's back there getting in the water with the boys and a couple of girls-" Grayson knows she's going to get upset and jealous once he said girls.

"Girls? Oh hell no!" She rushes to find Jake.

"My bad." Grayson looks at me.

"All hell just broke lose." I joke.

"You want a beer?" He laughs and asks me.

"Yes please."

He nods and I follow him to where the cooler is at.

I see Alondra yelling at Jake and he puts his hands in front to protect himself from her.

Grayson and I laugh at the view.

"Such a baby." I laugh.

"Right." Grayson hands me a beer.

"Thanks."

"Mhm."

We walk closer to the boys and keep laughing at Jake.

"Shut it Val." Jake looks embarrassed.

I keep laughing and he splashes water at me.

"Hey stop!" I squeal.

"Jake knock it off, you're going to put out my fire." Grayson says adding more sticks to keep his fire going.

"Yeah you baby." I laugh.

"Oh you're dead now." Jake grabs a water gun and starts squirting it at me.

"No!" I run and laugh.

As I'm running I wipe the water from my face. My vision starts to blur from the water. I suddenly bump into someone and my beer falls and shatters to the ground.

"Jake! Oh I'm so sorry, my friend and I were just playin-" after I wipe the rest of the water off and focus my vision I realize it's him.

"Ethan." I'm shocked.

He looks way different than before. He looks clean and mature this time. His hair is real short. And he's more muscular.

"Hey Val." His voice sounds more masculine than before.

"I'm really sorry about your shoes." I look at his shoes.

"It's all good. They're just shoes." He smiles and walks over to the cooler to fill it up with the beers he has.

I nod with a slight smile.

I feel weird to be around him now. After what happened. It's kind of embarrassing.

I can feel that everyone else is now trying to avoid us and be nosy at the same time.

"So um... I heard you were sent to therapy?" He wipes his hands on his shirt.

"Uh yeah, I rather not talk about it." I look down.

"Yeah I know, listen I'm sorry for everything. I mean it." He sounds genuine.

"It's okay. It doesn't really matter anymore, just four more months and I'm outta this place. Right?" I smile.

"Yeah?" He looks down.
