Prologue: A Warrior's Demise

November, Age 766

A brilliant glow erupted from the bathroom window. The sun set with such beauty. Lively oranges, deep reds, radiant yellows, soft pinks, and luminescent violet would soon spread this sky. A sigh of calmness escaped my lips, my eye lids feeling as if they were being tugged. The phone broke me from my reverie as it blared downstairs.

Damn it. Who could be calling?

I glanced down to my extended. belly. 3 months into my pregnancy and unable to train myself. It's quite annoying.

Just 6 more months, he or she will be born sometime in May.

I rose and made my way down stairs swiftly. The sun began to set. I picked up the phone.

"Hello-"

"Please, Sora! Hurry!" Chi-Chi begged over the phone. Her usual soft tone was weeping and sniffling and caught me by surprise.

"Chi-Chi?! What's the matter? Wait!"
I blurted out before she could hand up. I needed answers. This was so peculiar.

My heart skipped a beat and leapt out of my chest. Could a new foe be awaiting to challenge the Z fighters? Could something be wrong with Cheri?

Cheri is my 8-year-old daughter. Lately she's been wanting to train and become the best saiyan-tuffle fighter there was, not like there were any others. Due to my current condition, I couldn't train her myself. So Yamcha would go over to Goku's and train with them.

Her father, Daikon, died at the cold hands of Frieza when she was only a year old. Daikon was 1/8 tuffle and the rest pure saiyan, making Cheri 1/16 tuffle.

I can't help but still take blame for Daikon's death. We were searching the galaxy for cures of many earthly diseases. It's my job, setting as I'm in the festival field. But we were captured.

I was put under Frieza's control for my great strength like a pawn of his until for 3 years until Goku, Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma arrived to revive their loved ones with Namek's dragonballs.

If it hadn't been for them, I would've been in space with Frieza controlling me for as long as I lived. I owe them my life for awakening me.

My thoughts were interrupted by Chi-Chi's cries.

"Its Goku, it's his heart! I'll explain when you get here, just get here quick!" and she hung up. Fear washed over me for my twin brother. Goku? His heart?

Something terrible was happening. I thought fast and grabbed a suitcase lying around and filled with medical equipment. Being a doctor and all I had all the equipment needed. She didn't ask me to but I brought it anyway, Chi-Chi may have just forgotten.

My hands were shaking. What could be happening?

I pressed two fingers against my temple and concentrated, ready to use instant transmition. Amai creeping up behind me.

"What are you doing? Where are you sneaking off to?" My adopted sister irritably snapped. You could tell she just woke up, probably from my noisiness. Her long pink-like-cotton-candy hair was in knots. Her light legs were bare in her shorts as well as her arms in that white tank top. She's short, 5'0", but still a whole 4 years older than me.

"I'm not sneaking. I'll be right back. Bye." I told her and pressed my two finger to my temple once more.

"Wait, wait! What's going on?" She questioned suddenly alerted from my urgency. Her piercing blue eyes were wide and alert now.

But I was gone. I appeared right in front of the Z fighters and they jumped into their fighting stances, ready to attack. Upon realizing it was only me, they stopped and relaxed. A lavender haired baby cried in Bulma's arms. Was this her baby? Or was she babysitting? There was no time to ask.

"Sora!" Yamcha yelled and embraced me. He was the father of the unborn child in me. The human held onto my shoulders and looked at me. "We're so glad you're here! Goku's really-"

"I know there's something wrong with his heart. Where is he?" I cut him off.

"Inside. Down the hall and to the right."

I looked around and saw Cheri sitting against the house. She had been crying, the dry tears were a dead giveaway. The little pumpkin-haired girl looked up nearly ready to cry again.

"Is...I-Is Uncle G-Goku going to be o-okay?" Fresh tears forming in those sapphire blue eyes as she sobbed. I lowered down and rested my right hand on her shoulder wth the suitcase in my left hand.

"Whatever happens, just know, that things will be okay. We have hearts of a warriors and the spirits of a dragons. If anything happens, we'll fight through it together. Don't cry." I said with a forced subtle smile as I wipped away a tear on her cheek with my thumb.

She sniffed, rubbed her eyes, and nodded once. I laid a soft kiss on her forehead, tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, and headed inside.

I had a bad feeling. What if something happens to Goku? What if we can't help him? What if we need him? I shook the thoughts out of my head.

I jumped at the blood curdling shrieks that belonged to Goku.

Don't cry. I commanded myself. Don't cry. The Ox King stood tall and Roshi hunched over his wooden cane. Chi-Chi sat beside Goku weeping. The men turned and greeted me. A second later Chi-Chi turned and embraced me.

"Oh my Kami!" she whimpered, "Its horrible! M-My Goku. Please help him!" she begged and pleaded as if I wouldn't want to help my twin who I'd just recently years ago meet.

I walked forward to find the wild haired saiyan wailing and struggling under the sheets, clutching his chest.

"S-Sora!!" Goku called calming down a bit. He held off on screaming for a bit as if to say something, but soon screamed in pain again.

"I'm here. I'm here, Goku." I got down holding back tears and opened the suitcase.

"I'm going to do my best. You'll bee fine."

_____

"No. Goku say something!"

The pure saiyan stopped yelling and thrashing. I held his wrist in a hand and felt his pulse with the other.

No.

I reached over and felt the pulse around his neck.

No. No! NO!

"Goku. Please." Chi-Chi fell on her knees beside me. A power level was approaching. Gohan burst into the room and stared in shock.

Chi-Chi gasped and whimpered. "Oh, Gohan, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

I pressed my face into my palms and fell deep into thought.

My brother. I've missed a whole life with you. I'd never even laid my eyes onto you until a little less than 4 years ago. Now that I've lived a life with you, can't bare the thought of losing my brother.

Please don't leave us Goku. Nothing will be the same. Something horrible is about to happening. We need you, Goku.

A/N- Hello! If you're wondering about Sora's past, you should really read my other story "The Astray Saiyans". If you just want a slightly clearer explanation about her past then just read the first chapter. This story is a bit of a story for that one. Oh well. My work is all over the place anyway lol. I hope you're all enjoying! Vote, comment, and tune in next time!
