Chapter 7: Colors and Creatures

For almost a month, Trunks and I were studying then privately training. After our meet up, he trained with Gohan and Cheri. They didn't know about our private training and I hope for it to remain that way.

Cheri doesn't want me training in the first place, I don't know what her deal is. Maybe they just seemed to think that we were getting a lot more work nowadays.

"So," I began,"Number twenty-seven is 24 m/s/s, right?" and answered with a simple yes.

He jumped up and said "Now time to train!" I shook my head.

"Hold up! At least let me get up-"

A barrage of bright Ki Blasts fired from both of Trunks' hands and I shot up in the air, dodging every single blast.

Or get me up that way. That works too.

My hand rose up into a fist and a green aura formed around in.

"Earth Gauntlet! Haaaa!" It multiplied in size and shot towards him.

A crater was created from the impact.
Did I get him?

The rocks feel and dust cleared, revealing Trunks without a scratch.

This is going to take a while.

"How long... do you think... we trained for?" Trunks asked finally laying back on his knees. I laid my back against a tree, heaving.

I wasn't sure, I lost track of time. We were out of breath and collapsed onto the grass of the field after all that fighting.

"Don't... you have to... train with Gohan... and Cheri?" I struggled to catch my breath. He took a minute to breath and shook his head.

"No, not today. She is doing some volunteer work."

Hmm, she forgot to tell me like always, I thought. And she thinks I don't tell anyone anything.

I could see he was looking off at the mountains. "Its beautiful, the view." He stated.

"Too bad it likely going to rain tomorrow." I added.

He sighed. Trunks didn't enjoy the rain to much but I loved it. "Don't remind me."

I giggled. He let out a little chuckle too.

All I could hear was the sound of my beating heart, our breaths, the rustling leaves and beautiful sounds of animals.

"I wish I could see the colors of the world. Maybe some wild animals in their beauty too." I sighed.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Trunks glance my way and I smiled.

"They're really beautiful." He suddenly said and I turned to look at him.

What?

"You just said 30 seconds ago that you wanted to know what they looked like, so I said they were beautiful."

I narrowed my eyes at his poor response. "Be more specific. I've never seen or touched a lot of wild animals." He paused.
