Chapter 1: Our Living Horror

5 Years Later- October, Age 771

Cheri's P.O.V.

"Cheri! Cheri help!"

"What?!" A little girl with raven black hair in pigtails looked at me. Her olive green eyes stared at me as she trembled and whimpered. The girl is 4 and a half and her name is Hope Ko, my little sister.

The Saiyan-human hybrid stood trembling on top of an awfully tall water fountain. Wait... water fountain? Is this reality?

"Hope, how did you do that?"

"I-I don't k-know. Help me please!" The little girls sobs were halted by her scream of fear. A blonde girl and black haired boy appeared. Both had those cold, icy blue eyes.

"Get away from he-" A fist flew at lightening speed and struck me right in the stomach. Scarlet blood and saliva escaped my mouth as I flew back into a building, causing it to collapse on top of me.

"H-Hope," I muttered under my breath. My blurry vision began to focus as I saw a little figure fall from the water fountain. Muffles soon became screams and laughs. "N-no."

"Cheri!" Hope squealed in frustration.

I couldn't even walk. My body wouldn't allow me. So I crawled for as far as I could, ending up to be only ten feet.

The black haired boy with an orange scarf held her by the throat as she kicked and struggled. "Sorry little girl. You're not going to escape. You will meet your parents. So there's an upside."

"Monsters!" The hybrid called out for one last time. His fair skinned fingers tightened around her petite throat.

It came like it was happening right next to my ear.

Hope's uneven breathing turned into fearful cries.

Tighter.

She began to struggle making choking sounds.

Tighter.

Please. Please. She's my baby sister. The girl is barely five! She's my last piece of my mother. Hope doesn't deserve this. She doesn't. Please!

My thoughts were scrambled all over.

I love her. Please don't take my Hope away from me.

His thin fingers unraveled her now purple and blue bruised throat. Her body fell to the cold pavement.

Hair covered her face and the monstrous twin devilishly laughed at her corpse. The wind blew the orange, gold, and brown leaves along with her hair, revealing her lifeless pupils.

"Hope!"

_____

Thunder roared as water and soggy leaves hit my window.

"Cheri! Wake up! Cheri! You're having a nightmare!"

My sapphire eyes snapped open and turned to find Hope next to my nightstand. "Hope, I'm sorry. Did I wake you again?"

Hope nodded with her olive green eyes staring wide. "You started mumbling when I went to get some water. Then you started thrashing. And then you said my name. Is it that same nightmare, Cheri?"

"Yeah, it is. I'm okay. Go back to sleep."

Thank goodness it was all just a nightmare. Since my mother's death about four years ago, I've had horrible nightmares. The dreadful dreams would feature the people nearest and dearest to me: Amai and Buruto, my adoptive aunt and uncle, Gohan, my cousin, Bulma and Trunks, close family friends, and recently Hope.
