Chapter 14: Vengeance

Trunks' P.O.V.

This has to be it. Today had to be the day the androids finally stopped causing havoc in our world. There are those low-life abominations.

I powered up into super saiyan mode to confront them. The blonde girl walked along the side of a red car with her arms raised to balance and jumped off.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" The black haired boy turned and responded to her. "I guess so."

She sighed in relief. "Good this is getting-" I couldn't hear the rest of her sentence after a piece of a building had fallen over in pieces.

They turned and began to walk in the other direction. This was my chance. "How about experiencing your own deaths androids? Does that thrill you? It'll be your last joyride."

The girl spoke, "Us die? Very funny." And she turned to face me. "But... this won't be!"

In a flash, her fist met my face and she sent me into a building. I stopped and performed a burning attack whilst being upside down. My signature attack did nothing to them.

The girl was right in front of me and I punched her. Her hand caught my fist tightly in hers.

She coldly looked into my eyes with her haunting ones and asked, "You wouldn't hit a lady would you?"

The thing was she was no lady, she was a merciless fiend. I had no response and her other fist sent me flying back onto my hands and knees. Its time for my sword. I pulled it out and attempted to swing it at her. She dodged them.

Every. Single. Swing.

On one of them, she hopped and stood on the sword while i held it.

Innocently she informed, "This isn't fair, I'm unarmed you know." I pulled the sword away from under her feet and managed to chop off a few strands of her hair.

"My hair! That doesn't grow back you punk!" I replied with a slight smirk, "Allow me to even it out."

She called out for the long, black haired boy. "17!" He came charging at me after her call for help. I let out a yell as I swung my sword and missed his head.

He effortlessly grabbed it. I didn't even see the girl come up behind my but her hand pressed against my chest and sent me flying back!

They used their power to fire at me repeatedly in hopes off ending my life. They would not kill me! Not today! I bursted out and attacked them and it seemed like I was succeeding.

They stood shocked as I blasted at them, a bright blue light filling the area. I couldn't see them. Were they gone?

"I did it!" I felt victorious and had finally avenged the Z fighters! I guess I spoke too soon because they got off their knees in the crater in the ground I made.

"Did what? Did you see, 18? What'd he do?" Boy did this guy have an attitude. "Who knows? He did get my clothes dirty. Maybe that was what he was talking about." I wanted them dead so badly. I blasted at them, again having no affect on them.

What am I up against? This is insane.

The boy's hand rose and gestured for me to come at him.

No! Several more blasts were fired at them by me. They had to die! They had to experience real pain! But know I realized, "That wasn't such a good idea. " I said out of breath.

We're in a cemetery.

We're in a cemetery.

Hahahaha!

We're in a cemetery.

Voices! There were voices in my head! It felt- it felt as if they were coming from every direction, like there were more of them. Their words haunted me.

We're in a cemetery. Hahahahahahaha!

There he was, he stood right next to me. The back of his hand sent me into the ruins of yet another building. Where had he come from? Where did he go?

A wave of pain came over me. And she was right there, staring down at me and kicked me away. I knew I had to run. I no longer had a the chance to win this fight.

I stood somewhere in a building and peered around the corners. It was the boy, I could tell from the shadow of his orange bandana around his neck.

Sweat was dripping from my forehead and I couldn't quite catch my breath. He stood behind me and whispered, "Where is he?"

I found my legs pounding against the ground, trying to get away from him. I knelt down trying to catch my breath.

"Peek-a-boo, I see you." She stood right there, getting a glimpse of my face through a piece of a glass. Her icy eyes vote into my soul and sent me up to the next floor.

"You could've taken the stairs you know. My gosh, human beings. Hm, always doing things the hard way." The boy told me, meeting me on the next floor.

The girl's hand rested on my shoulder. "What a mess. We got under your skin somehow, didn't we kid?" I would not answer her. She looked up at the boy. "He's no fun anymore. Why don't we just kill him?" No.

"Sure." The boy agreed.

In what felt like no time, my body was on the ground outside and felt a severe pain pulsing through it.

The world was mute for a moment and I was fired back by one of them, into the water. I wouldn't let them end me, I couldn't!

I pulled myself out of the water, infuriating the boy. What did he say? I couldn't hear him, I was sent flying back and now laid on the ground.

"He's dead." The girl announced. No I'm not! I groaned and grunted in pain letting them no that. "Why? I don't get it. Why are you two doing this?"

The boy smirked. "Dr. Gero created us for the purpose of world domination but that doesn't really matter to us, not at all."

"Whenever we see humans it angers us. We hate you humans." the girl added.

"What? You monsters! You won't get away with this!" I got off the ground and began to punch them but it was no use, it didn't do anything. I still had to fight back.

"All those people... and all... those... children!" They stood smiling at me as I pounded their faces. "I won't let you do this anymore!"

The girl tripped me and held me from the collar of my jacket from behind. Now they decided to finish me, each taking turns punching and kicking me into buildings. I fell on the ground and powered down, no longer a super saiyan. I couldn't even hear them anymore. Bright light surrounded me and I screamed in pain. I was done for.

_____

It was sunset. I thought I was dead.

"Oh gosh, Trunks no. Please live."

I heard the beautiful voice of a young girl come up. Her head was above mine and a crescent shaped pendant dangled from the chain around her neck. Her olive green eyes shined with tears.

I felt as if it were an angel coming to take me to the Other World where the Z fighters were, where Gohan and Cheri were. She sobbed above my head. "Darn you, Trunks! Can you even hear me? You scared me! You should've known better!"

I couldn't respond, all I could do was look at this raven-haired beauty as the sun set behind her. She picked me up and began flying. We soared through the clouds in the orange and blue sky. I lost consciousness a couple of times. The last time I remembered being conscious was looking up at the angel.

Her soft pink lips quivered, tears streamed down her fair skin from her lovely green eyes, and she pleaded, "Please hang on, Trunks. I need you."

The angel's dark hair flowed in the breeze like a hero's cape. She was my hero.
