"Do you and Ren fight often?" Astra asked, picking another piece of meat off her plate. Hux paused, as he swirled his drink in his glass.
"What leads you to believe we fight at all?" He scoffed, seeming oddly offended by the question.
"Well today..." Astra trailed off, glancing up towards him. It pained her to remember the events of earlier, but she knew she had dug herself into a hole.
"Well," Hux began to answer, but he seemed to be taking a long time to process.
"He was putting my ship in danger," Hux replied smugly.
"I couldn't let his childish antics get in the way of the success of the First Order," Hux admitted, taking the last sip of his drink. Astra of course, already knew this. It was quite apparent that Hux found the First Order to be his most important focus. He had mentioned his motives earlier that day, before Ren attacked him.
Suddenly, Astra remembered something incredibly unnerving that may spark further conversation with him.
"I saw a girl," Astra cut in abruptly. She believed that this would for sure catch the Generals attention. Perhaps he could tell her who the girl was, or maybe he would at least give her some more information on her.
"What?" Hux sneered, fixing his eyes onto hers.
"The girl I saw in a vision," Astra hesitated, shooting her eyes to the ground. His ice cold stare was infinitely unbearable. She couldn't stand another second gazing into his glaring, gem-toned eyes.
"The girl with the lightsaber," Astra finished, and Hux perked up instantly.
"What have you seen?" He scorned, vigorously slamming his fists into the glass dining table.
"I sense she's a threat," Astra gulped nervously.
"She..." Astra wavered, fear lingered in her words. The Generals hands seemed to grip the table in anticipation. A different emotion crossed his face now. It was a mixture of fear, and excitement.
"She will cause the fall of the First Order," Astra croaked, finally sending Hux into a furious, hate induced rage.
"YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE FIRST ORDER AND OUR INTENTIONS!" Hux howled, standing up abruptly, and causing his glass to tumble to the floor.
"I'm sorry," Astra stuttered, as Hux left his chair. Astra could hear the broken glass crunch underneath his black boots as he menacingly stomped towards her.
"You are NOTHING but a STORMTROOPER!" He roared, as he grabbed her by the shoulders, and stood her up in front of him.
Astra could feel a sensation of unease surge throughout her body. She new she had the power to throw him across the room at will, but violence wasn't the answer. Astra's face grew hot as Hux maintained a steady grip on her small, fragile shoulders.
"And you're nothing but a lousy, childish, sorry excuse for a General!" Astra retort, throwing his hands off her body, jabbing his shoulder in the process.
For a moment, Hux lost his balance. Astra grimaced as he quickly regained it. He brought his face close to hers. Astra could feel hate grow, and flourish within her as she stared threateningly into his bright emerald eyes.
"Get out," Hux paused between words, stressing each one forcefully while angrily gesturing to the door.
"You're right," Astra sneered, feeling the hate inside her finally bubble to the top.
"I'm nothing, but a second-rate Stormtrooper," she added.
"But correct me if I'm wrong, General," Astra crossed her arms across her chest, as she backed away slowly.
"I don't think Stormtroopers can do this," Astra focused her entire mind, and body on Hux, who now began to slowly rise to the ceiling. She held her arm out in front of her, closing her fist tightly together as Hux began gasping for breath.
"When the First Order wins the war," Astra began confidently, as she flounced over to Hux who perfectly hovered in place.
"It will be my doing, and not yours," Astra growled through grit teeth as she let go of him. She heard Hux groan in pain as he hit the floor with a loud thump. Astra strut towards the door, and hastily let herself out.
And to think, I was actually beginning to like the man!
Astra felt a whoosh of air blow behind her as the doors closed. Astra's hands, and limbs pulsed as she walked down the long stretch of hallway that lead out to the next corridor of rooms.
She was eager to return to her chambers; well, it technically wasn't hers, but she didn't really have anywhere else to go.
Many imperial guards, and officers were walking the hallways alongside her. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed. But even though she was completely engulfed by bashfulness, and personal insecurities, Astra managed to walk with confidence. She held her head high, and kept her arms straight by her sides.
Surprisingly, not a single person dared to question her. In fact, every passerby seemed to be wickedly intimidated by her.
Hmmm I can get used to this
...
Every so often, Astra would pass by a window, and she noticed that they had now advanced into light speed.
Ren must be back
Astra thought, as she retraced her steps back to Ren's guest room. As she approached a corner, she abruptly felt Ren's presence from afar. She sensed that he was already at the door, waiting for her to arrive. She swiftly maneuvered her way down one last hallway as she rounded her final corner.
