"And then he kept bonding with me at random time's," Rey chortled as she struggled to properly control the craft.
"That sounds so like him!" Astra laughed loudly as she leaned her head up against the wall.
"He can be so childish," Rey added as an incoming call caught her attention.
"That must be Hux," Astra snapped to attention as she grabbed the communicator.
Hux had sent her his coordinates, and Astra promptly sent the wayfinders path to his ship.
"I still can't believe he was the spy," Rey sneered as she directed the craft in, and out of complicated rings of rock, and other assorted items of space junk.
"Neither can I," Astra shrugged as she picked up the communication device.
"Everything worked out alright?" Astra asked as the sound of Hux's craft starting up challenged her weak voice.
"Yes, everything is going smoothly," he replied as she heard his ship take flight.
"Are there weapons on board?" Astra asked.
"Just a single hand held stun gun," Hux sighed as his craft left the hanger.
"Can't see that being useful," Astra laughed before wishing Hux luck on his travels to Exegol.
Astra slunk down behind the pilots seat as she rested her head against the wall again. Her skull still throbbed with stabbing pain, but she was working on distracting herself from it.
All she could do was ignore it. She wouldn't be able to seek medical attention until all of this was over. She just had to suck it up, and win the war.
As various different daydreams and fantasies played throughout her jumbled head, Rey made sure they were on a steady course to Exegol. The rebels would be on their ways soon.
Astra soon drifted off to sleep.
...
"Join me," a voice screeched throughout the cockpit as Astra jolted awake.
As her eyes shot open, she saw that Rey had left the pilots seat. Outside the window was a wasteland. It was dark, and pouring rain. Lightning struck in the near distance, and thunder boomed from outside of the ship. The sound rattled her head as her eyes yearned to see more of the landscape that way ahead of her.
As Astra craned her neck towards the window, a sudden chill on the back of her neck caused her to look to her side.
As soon a she turned her head, she was immediately met face to face with a man who's nose was nearly inches away from hers. She held back a scream as a wrinkled, peeling face with glowing yellow eyes gleamed back at her.
The head of this figure was concealed by a black hood.
"Astra, darling," the voice taunted. Astra could feel his breath against her forehead as he spoke.
"You're not meant for the light," the man cackled heinously as he brought a hand to Astras face.
"Just look at where you come from," the man suggested as he placed a hand over her eyes. Astra flinched from his cold touch before she was met with a flurry of visions.
Wars, murders, Sith. Younglings were slaughtered, planets were destroyed, and the Jedi disappeared.
"Do you see what you're meant for, child?" The mans voiced echoed loudly overtop of the visions while her eyes rapidly watched every single one go by.
"N-no," Astra stuttered as she reached her hands out to stop him. But she didn't feel anything in front of her.
"YES!" The voice howled as Astra's visions became more lifelike. They were vivid, and it was almost like she had viewed these things herself.
"LET ME GO!" Astra demanded hoarsely as she choked her way through tears.
"I AM NOT A SITH!" Astra shrieked as the man chanted ominously throughout her head. His voice was deep, raspy, and it cut through her mind like a knife. It hurt her head to hear his voice.
"SUCCUMB TO THE DARKSIDE!" He shouted, and Astra continued to fight back.
"LET! ME! GO!" Astra howled as two hands on her shoulders quickly caused her eyes to shoot open.
"Astra!" Rey shouted as her hands firmly gripped her shoulders, shaking her awake.
"W-what?" Astra panted as she surveyed her surroundings. The X-wing was still intact, and outside she saw the same wasteland she had seen in her dream.
"You were screaming," Rey announced as she opened the top of the X-Wing.
"I, I was?" Astra stuttered as Rey helped her to her feet.
"You saw something," Rey sighed as she helped Astra find her balance.
"Visions," Astra revealed as Rey began stepping out of the craft.
"I assumed so," Rey grunted a she hopped down onto the rocky ground beneath them.
"I'll wait for Hux," Astra sighed as she plopped herself down into the pilots seat.
"Stay safe," Rey smiled from the ground as she turned to walk towards the massive structure that lay ahead of them.
"You too," Astra smiled back as she watched her sister walk away. She worried for Rey's safety, but she also worried for her own.
As Astra closed the top of the X-wing above her, she couldn't help but think about the visions she had just seen. She knew for a fact that she was better than that. She wasn't a Sith, and she wasn't part of the darkside anymore.
Whoever had just called out to her seemed rather desperate. Astra laughed at the thought.
Bold of them to assume I know how to use the force properly
...
Astra waited patiently for Hux Who arrived shortly after they had landed. Astra watched a small resistance shuttle touchdown on the ground no more than 20 yards away from her. Astra hopped out of the X-Wing, and ran towards the shuttle.
"Hux!" Astra bellowed as a small ramp opened up from the ship. Astra saw Hux remove his helmet as she ran up towards him.
"You're safe!" Astra shouted as she wrapped her arms around his bulky body armor. It was funny how he decided to wear his trenchcoat over top of his armor. But she had to admit, it was a nice touch.
"I am," Hux smiled as he kissed the top of her head.
"But we have to get going," Hux announced as he urged Astra onto the ship.
"Resistance fighters have already started to arrive," he added as he lead Astra towards the cockpit. The ramp came up behind them, and Astra took a seat next to Hux.
She didn't have much experience flying as a co-pilot, but she knew she didn't have much time to learn.
Within minutes of their initial interaction, the craft was up in the air flying alongside handfuls of other resistance fighters.
The unnerving part of the battle was the amount of destroyers that lay ahead of them. Astra swallowed nervously as she connected their coms with the other fighters.
This wasn't going to be easy.
*A/N* has anyone found this fic from TikTok? I know someone promoted it on there, and I'm curious to know how many people came from the app 😂
