"I can feel space surrounding me," she mumbled, her eyes twitching from beneath her eyelids.
"I can see the people on board," Astra added, her hands shaking on the freezing tile beneath her fingertips.
"I can see everything, the entire ship," Astra's face lacked expression yet her voice said it all. Ren remained eerily silent.
"I see you," Astra's mouth hung open, as she searched deeper within the force.
"I can see me as well," she mentioned, and Ren finally broke his silence.
"Good," Ren admitted tremulously. He no longer wore the mask, Astra could hear his real voice. It was smooth, almost calming. She enjoyed it.
As Astra dug her self deeper within the force, she could almost see Ren's face. But not quite. Only side glances, and small views from behind.
"I feel the coldness," Astra's mouth hung open in anticipation.
"I feel," her voice trailed off as she bit her lip.
"What do you feel, Astra," Ren pressed.
"I feel darkness," The corners of Astra's mouth harshly tugged downwards.
"I can see it all," Her eyebrows knit together, and her nose scrunched tightly. Her heart rate increased, and the ship began to rumble.
"W-where," Astra's mouth shook in fear as her hands struggled to maintain contact with the ground.
"Where am I," Astra cried, as tears began to pour from her eyes. Expressions of dismay, and despair crossed her innocent pale face.
"Astra," Ren's voice wobbled, as he placed his mask back on his head.
"I feel it all!" Astra shrieked, her shrill voice reverberated against the glass window as the ship continued to rock. Ren's fear was increasing, and Astra could feel it.
"I can feel you," Astra called out, basking in the terror she inflicted upon Ren.
"Feel me," Ren replied, as he reached his gloved hand out to touch hers. His hand anxiously hovered over hers, as Astra began to sob uncontrollably.
"REN!" A loud voice finally collided with Astra's pathetic whimpers.
"We are losing control of the ship!" The Generals alarmed tone startled Ren. The ship turned, and shook, whilst Astra continued to cry.
"What in the world," Hux yelled and quickly sped towards Astra.
"What are you doing to her!" Hux grabbed her by the shoulders, shaking her out of her trance. Immediately, the ships rocking subsided. Hux wasn't one to ever care about the well being of any other life forms that weren't himself. But Astra was an exception, solely because she was affecting the vessel. Hux would stop at no limits in order to keep balance of his warship.
"G-general?" Astra's eyelash's fluttered, as she lay upon the cold floor once again. Her eyes darted towards Ren, who gazed upon her pathetic, shaking body.
"Ren, this is absolutely not an appropriate time to -" Ren cut the General off by forcefully slamming his body against the adjacent steel wall.
"Wh-what," Astra sputtered, attempting to grasp the situation at hand.
"Tell me what you saw," Ren commanded, his voice no longer smooth and silvery like it was without the mask.
"I- I don't know," Astra croaked, as she wiped a falling tear from her cheek with her sleeve.
Hux managed to steady himself as he stood up. He groaned, while brushing off his black uniform, and massaging his back with his arm.
"It was all darkness..." Astra's voice trailed off as Hux suddenly rushed over to her, desperately trying to help her up.
"Leave the poor girl alone!" He chastised, but Ren wasn't particularly dazzled. Astra struggled to find movement in her aching legs. Despite The Generals efforts, Astra could not find the energy to stand up.
"Why must this be your concern, General?" Ren interrogated, digging himself into the Generals mind without consent.
"She's one of our troops," Hux warbled. "a-and her training is negatively impacting our ships ability to function," Hux finished, ignoring the tickling sensation that filled his entire skull.
"Perhaps, you're being guided by personal interest," Ren glanced towards Astra, who sat cowering like a dog at the Generals feet.
The Generals face grew hot. He bit his lip, and curled his fingers into the palms of his hands.
"Ren," Hux growled through grit teeth. "Enough of this nonsense," he put forward.
"Training isn't nonsense," Ren fought back, but Hux was intransigent. His sultry expression grew louder, and louder with each passing second.
"You're torturing her!" Hux bellowed, and to some degree, Astra agreed. This all felt like too much at once. Astra had reached out to something that called her, but she didn't want to.
"You're letting your selfish personal enjoyments ruin the chances of the First Order!" Ren snapped, gesturing once more to Astra.
Hux finally lost his composure, as he failed to submit to his vile leader.
"You're a disappointed, a failure to your family tree!" Hux screamed, his voice shrill with irritation.
"Nothing, but a no good, loser of a—"
"Enough!" Ren cut in, as he sent Hux flying backwards into the wall yet again. Astra gasped as fear flushed her face.
"Stop it!" Astra begged, but Ren persisted.
"You're nothing without me!" Ren harassed, holding one arm out as he hastily strode across the floor to stand above Hux.
"Please stop!" Astra screamed again, but Ren was indignant. Every time Hux attempted to stand, Ren would force him back down.
"R-ren, s-stop acting l-like a child!" Hux snarled, feverishly sputtering for air as he strived to take Ren down. But it just wasn't going to happen. Every time Hux stood upright, Ren would simply throw him to the ground again.
"REN!" Astra's voice caught the warriors ear.
"ENOUGH OF THIS FIGHTING!" Astra's face was red, and steaming with animosity. Ren ignored her, and continued to bicker with Hux. Like children, Astra watched as they picked each other apart. The Generals green eyes shimmered with malice as he tore Ren to pieces, bit by bit, pulling out every slur in the book. Ren simply used aggression against him.
Astra's attempts at stopping the fight were hopeless. Her pleads, and endless sobbing, only deterred them from turning her way.
Astra's body was brimming with hostility,
and antipathy. Her eyes were puffy from crying, and her limbs ached in pain. But the hatred that filled her began to indefinitely consume her mind. She inhaled sharply, the sounds of the Generals deep cutting insults, and Ren's electronic voice surrounded her head."ENOUGH!" Astra finally screamed, gesturing her hands in a pull apart motion, almost as if she were ripping a giant animal in half with her bare hands.
Hux and Ren went flying to opposite sides of the room. Ren flew into the glass, whilst Hux hit the wall closest to the door.
Astra's blank expression made it clear that she did not intend to do such a thing.
"Oh my god," Astra's body cooled, as she studied her shaking hands.
"Oh my god," she cried out again, looking for a reaction from at least one of the men.
But they seemed to be more concerned with the crack that was beginning to form along the glass window where Ren had slammed head first into. The crack shimmered in the light of the stars, as it grew quickly in large veins. Within mere seconds, it doubled in size.
Astra realized this was all her fault. Her death, along with the Generals, and Ren's, would now be in her hands.
