Astra was infuriated by Ren's inability to separate his private life, from his work life. Ren had no right to demote Hux over such a minuscule happening.

Of course, Astra understood how Ren felt, and she understood why he acted the way he did, but it was no excuse. He demoted Hux solely to flex his power. He wanted to truly show Hux what he could do, even if that meant destroying Hux's greatest joy.

Ren had crossed the line this time, and Astra didn't know how to handle him. He was so powerful, and so full of pent up frustration that Astra knew if she were to speak her mind she would get hurt.

Ren wouldn't hesitate to snap at her in an instant if she were to step in front of him. But still, Astra pushed these thoughts aside. She couldn't stand to see Hux in such a horrendous state.

Even though he seemed to be nothing but a cold hearted jerk, Astra saw who he really was. He was someone that cared about his army. He cared about the wellness of the First Order. Without his guidance, the ship would most likely crumble without his harsh leadership.

As much as Astra hated him, his drive to succeeded oddly attracted her. She shook her head in disgust. She was absolutely not attracted to Hux in the slightest! She scowled at her weakness to puppy dog eyes and troubled smiles.

That's exactly how manipulative people get you

As she marched towards the bridge in hopes of confronting Ren, she questioned her pending decisions. What if speaking to Ren made Hux's situation worse?

Astra paused for a moment while she pondered the outcomes. Ren may potentially view his mistakes and give Hux his position back. Or maybe he'd only me angered more, and maybe he'd demote Hux further.

She shook off any intrusive thoughts, and marched towards Ren who stood tall on the bridge. He was shouting something repeatedly at a few of the officers that stood nearby.

"Ren!" Astra shouted harshly as she approached him from his left. She instantly felt a million eyes lock onto her shaking body.

"What is wrong with you?" Astra shouted gallantly as she crossed her arms in front of her.

"Astra," Ren began hoarsely as he studied her complicated expression. She remained eerily still as she felt Ren sift through her most recent memories. Once Ren was satisfied with his discoveries, he let go of her mind.

"We cannot discuss personal matters at this time," he finished. Ren then shooed her away before he continued to bark orders at his subordinates.

"I don't think so," Astra swatted his outstretched arm away from her face.

"I can't believe you demoted him!" Astra shouted as Ren dropped his heavy arm to his side.

"Astra, return to your quarters immediately," Ren howled as his face began to turn bright red.

"Only if you put Hux back where he belongs," Astra scowled heavily as she raised an eyebrow.

"Don't disobey me, Astra," Ren grimaced tightly, and Astra shot him a dirty look.

"He's got a right to be here y'know," Astra growled back.

Ren sighed as he bit his lip angrily. At this point, all the officers seemed to have their eyes on Astra. She felt like she could hear their thoughts.

Everyone seemed curious. Some seemed shocked, and others just stared from a distance. A few brave souls looked giddy, while some just pretended to be unaware of the situation.

"Hux's position aboard this ship is quite frankly, none of your business," Ren scoffed in displeasure as he gestured for Astra to exit the bridge.

Astra gripped the sides of her arms tightly as she refrained from loosening the intensity of her resentful expression.

"And my sexual relationship with Hux is quite frankly," Astra paused as she cocked her head to the side.

"None of your business," she giggled mockingly as she tilted her chin upwards.

A faint chuckle arouse from the surrounding crowd of officers. Ren quickly shot his hand out to the side of him as he sent an officer flying forcefully into a nearby wall.

Astra stifled her surprised expression as Ren maintained uncomfortably stable eye contact.

"Your attitude is atrocious," Ren hissed as he began to lift Astra into the air.

Her eyes widened as she began to cough, and sputter with every shallow breath.

"You have no right to be confronting me," Ren growled harshly as his pitch adopted a detrimentally loud crescendo.

"N-no," Astra wheezed pathetically as she clawed at the skin around her throat.

"You will do as I say!" Ren screamed, as Astra's pale skin began to grow purple.

Surrounding bystanders didn't dare to speak up. They simply watched as Astra kicked, and screamed in mid air.

As Astra felt her head begin to lighten, she reached her hand out in front of her. Her palm faced Ren as she began tightening her shaking fingers into a balled up fist.

While her fist grew tighter, her throat began to open. Her lungs filled with cold air as Ren's eyes began to widen.

"I'm standing up for what's right," Astra retort powerfully as Ren began losing his grip on her now drifting body.

"You know Hux didn't deserve his punishment," Astra exclaimed as she felt her feet hit the floor beneath her.

"You don't know what your talking about," Ren countered as he stretched his arm out in front of him.

"Oh but I do," Astra hissed menacingly as their forces began to counter one another's.

"You're just a child!" Ren jabbered anxiously as Astra's force began to overtake his.

"Yet you're the one who acts like one," Astra defended triumphantly as she noticed Ren's legs begin to waver.

"I know what you are," Astra cackled maniacally as Ren's knees curved inwards before he fell to the ground beneath her.

"What am I," Ren stammered hoarsely as delicate beads of sweat dripped down his shimmering temples.

"Jealous," Astra stated gallantly as her force finally managed to overthrow his. A small spark of lightening shot from Astra's palms as Ren went flying backwards. Astra's force did not stop until his body slammed into the side of an officers desk nearly 20 yards away from his initial standing position.

When the deed was finally done, Astra sighed in relief as she examined her shaking hands. Never had she been able to use such power, and never had she seen lightning expel from her fingertips.

She smiled courageously before inhaling one last shaky breath.
