*smut warning* this chapter contains small bits of smut, but most of the chapter is clean.
"You can't be out here," Astra growled as she quickly jammed Hux into her room.
"People think you're dead!" Astra added hysterically as she slammed the door shut behind them.
"I am aware," Hux sighed as he stumbled over towards the sofa.
"We have to get out of here," Astra shouted as she frantically threw her hands onto her hips.
"I know I have to," Hux sighed.
"But you are perfectly fine here," Hux added as he sat down on the sofa.
Astra bit her lip as she tried to plan out Hux's escape.
"Would the rebels take you in?" Astra asked, and Hux burst into hysterical laughter.
"Are you joking?" Hux exclaimed loudly through ear splitting hilarity.
"We don't have many options here," Astra explained in frustration as she waited for Hux to settle down.
"They'd kill me," Hux replied as his laughter finally subdued.
"But you saved them?" Astra shrugged as she began walking towards the empty side of the sofa.
"There is absolutely no way they'd trust me," Hux began as Astra took a seat next to him.
"Even after what I did for them," he finished as he adjusted his seating position in order to face Astra.
Hux was right. The rebels wouldn't trust him, let alone let him switch sides so abruptly. Although, Rey might allow it if Astra were to switch as well, but she hadn't quite came to a decision just yet.
"I wonder if my sister would allow it," Astra bit her cheek as she finished the sentence. It felt weird to call Rey her sister, but it was something she was going to have to get used to.
"Your sister?" Hux inquired curiously, and Astra soon realized Hux was not yet aware of their relationship.
"Rey is my sister," she announced, and Hux took a moment to respond. He looked surprised, but he also looked guilty.
"I'm sorry for trying to relentlessly murder your sister and her friends," Hux apologized jokingly, and Astra smiled back at him.
"It's whatever," Astra shrugged sarcastically as she began to laugh.
Hux soon joined in, and it wasn't long before the two of them were smiling, and shouting horrendously insensitive jokes at one other.
Astra noticed that Hux was wildly different when he wasn't leading an army. He was funny, sarcastic, and lighthearted. Astra could almost physically see his stress melt off of his overworked shoulders.
She could tell it had been awhile since he was able to be himself. He truly was a whole new person.
Everything was going quite well until Hux mentioned something called the Final Order.
"Final Order? What's that?" Astra questioned, and Hux seemed surprised.
"Ren hasn't told you?" Hux scoffed.
