Well done to those of you that guessed correctly! This one-shot is about Tom Riddle! I just want to thank you all for being such loyal readers, my darlings! Now, without further ado, here is the one-shot! I hope you enjoy!
I sat the Slytherin table, my book on Ancient Runes propped up against a jug of pumpkin juice, allowing me to read as I ate my breakfast. The usual hushed whispers of Tom Riddle and his cronies provided a good background of white noise for me to read against. Slowly, one by one, the let until it was just Tom left at the table.
"I wouldn't do it, you know," I spoke up, not taking my eyes off my book.
"I shouldn't do what, Mikaelson?" Tom asked me, not looking in my direction.
"Whatever it is, you and your little gang are planning on doing, don't," I told him beginning to pack up my things.
"Since when do you care about my welfare, Mikaelson?" Tom asked me.
I looked at him dead in the eyes. "I don't but I do care about innocent people being hurt," I said, turning around and making my way out of the Great Hall. I didn't get very far before someone grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me out into the Entrance Courtyard.
"What are you talking about, Mikaelson?" Riddle asked, keeping a firm grip on my wrist, towering over me, his eyes flashing red momentarily. "Is this why you've not been talking to me?"
"Yes. I don't want to date someone willing to hurt someone cause of something they cannot control." I told him, my green eyes filled with an angry fire.
"Well, tough luck," Tom said walking forwards, pushing me backwards until he had me cornered up against a wall. "Because I don't like sharing and if you break up with me, I'll have to watch you be with someone else and you don't want anyone getting hurt do you?"
I let out a breath of air and glared at him. "You're unbelievable, Tom!"
"But it's why you love me," Tom said before kissing me.
I shook my head with a smile. "You're crazy, Tom,"
Tom smirked and held out his hand, which I took.
"Miss Mikaelson. Mr Riddle." A voice called out to us from the other end of the courtyard.
"Professor Dumbledore," Tom said cooly.
"Aren't you both meant to be in Potions with Professor Slughorn, right now?" He asked in his grandfatherly way.
"We were on our way there now, Professor," I told him as we neared the Professor.
"Good day," Tom said as we walked past.
"Actually, I was hoping to speak to Miss Mikaelson," Dumbledore said. "Alone." He added when Tom didn't move. Tom took my things and pressed a kiss to my temple before turning and heading to potions.
"Miss Mikaelson, it's nice to see that Mr Riddle and yourself are back together." He said with a smile.
"We never broke up, Professor. Now, are you simply making me late to Potions in order to ask me about my relationship or is there something you want?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.
"What do you know about Mr Riddle and his friend's activities?" Dumbledore asked, seriously.
"Nothing, Professor. Although, I don't understand your need to know what my boyfriend does in his spare time," I told him.
"I am concerned that Mr Riddle may be meddling in the Dark Arts," Dumbledore told me bluntly and my stomach sank. "I fear what Mr Riddle will do or who he'll become if he continues. I hope that your love is enough." Dumbledore said looking at me over the top of his half-moon spectacles.
