I left with Stefan to go to Alaric's apartment, where Klaus and Katherine were. I was positive they'd be there. We have to get this cure before it's too late. We don't have any other options.

Katherine was the first to greet us. She sat on Alaric's bed. Her facial expressions changed from bored to angry in milliseconds. "Two days, I've been waiting. I'm supposed to be free of Klaus' compulsion by now. He's supposed to be dead!" She whisper-yelled. "Yeah well, that didn't happen. Elijah didn't keep his word and the hybrid bitch didn't die." I hissed. "Doesn't really matter. I just need to find him. Do you have any idea where he might be?" Stefan added. She suddenly grabbed our arms and threw us to a wall. Klaus and Elijah walked through the door. My blood boiled. Elijah should have killed Klaus. He should be dead.

"You two just keep popping up, don't you?" Klaus groaned. "I need your help...For my brother. For Sundance's friend." Stefan asked, using Klaus and I's past to his advantage. "Well, whatever it is, it's gonna have to wait for a tick. You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention." Klaus smirked. I glared at Elijah. "Yeah, I'm sure you do," I muttered, knowing very well they could hear me. "You understand how important family is, or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own." Elijah explained. Yeah, and did unicorns fly out of his ass too? "And so I shall," Klaus said. He suddenly stabbed Elijah in the heart with a dagger, killing him. Apparently not.

"Now, what am I gonna do with you two?" He hummed, circling Stefan and I. He stabbed a stake through Stefan and held him up. I gasped. "Do you feel that? It's scraping against your heart. The slightest little movement and you're dead." He warned. "Klaus, he is trying to help his brother!" I snapped. "The witches said you had a cure. Make me a deal. Just give me the cure, and I'll do whatever you want." Stefan groaned. Klaus took out the stake and walked to the counter. He poured himself a glass of blood and looked back at Stefan and I. "You are worthless to me." He shrugged carelessly.

It was quiet. Klaus walked over to Stefan and bent down. "I heard about this one vampire, crazy bloke, always on and off the wagon for decades. When he was off, he was magnificent. 1917, he went into Monterrey and wiped out an entire migrant village...A true ripper. Sound familiar?" He asked. "I haven't been that way in a very long time," Stefan replied. "Well then. What about you?" Klaus smiled evilly, getting up and looking at me. "The new vampire who killed a whole bare full of people..stole a car...If you use your abilities to its full power you could take down towns. Oh come on, doesn't a little adventure spark something in that mind of yours? I could take you far from Mystic Falls and leave behind all of your sorrows. Seth, was it?" He chuckled. "No, Klaus." I shook my head, smelling the blood on his lip. "Well, those are the vampires I can make a deal with. That is the kind of talent that I can use when I leave this town." Klaus sighed. Stefan got up.

After a gross presentation on Katherine of how Klaus's blood is the cure, Stefan and I looked at each other. We were bewildered by this information. It made this situation ten times worse. "Gotta love Mother Nature." Klaus chuckled, knowing our thoughts. "Sit. Let's have a chat." He offered.

Klaus got out a vial and blade. He began squeezing a knife blade tightly, and blood dripped from his hand into the container. "There it is. Do you want to save Mr. Heartbreaker? How 'bout a decade-long bender? And I have big plans for you lot when we leave this town." Klaus said, spinning the bottle on the counter. I'd do anything to save Damon. Killing people? I'm not so sure about that.

"We aren't like that anymore." Stefan defended. "Well, that's too bad. You would have made a hell of a backup." Klaus hummed, pouring the blood slowly down into the sink. "Wait," I instructed. Klaus stopped. "Now that's more like it. I want you two to join me for a drink." He said, throwing Stefan and I two blood bags. My breath was suddenly caught in my throat. I haven't had human blood in a while, whereas Stefan has had small bits at a time. "Finish it. All of it. You do everything I say, and I save your lover and your brother. That's the deal."

Stefan nodded at me. We unstoppered the bags and slowly raised it to our lips, then began drinking. The taste was intoxicating. It felt like I was being hallucinated by the liquid. It was easy to finish the bag. And so bag after bag, we drank until finally, I had enough with the games. "Enough! We have a deal, Klaus. Let me take the cure to Damon. He doesn't have much time and you know it." I groaned, throwing a bag to the floor. "And what ensures you'll return?" He frowned. It was vile. He enjoyed it. I looked at Stefan. "You have my best friend. You know I'll come back." I gulped, returning eye contact. "Very well. Katerina, escort Sundance." Klaus said, handing her the bottle. We quickly sped out onto the streets.

She handed me the cure. "Hurry." She suggested. I turned around. "Oh, and Sundance! It's okay to love them both, maybe even switch lanes." Katherine smirked. I rolled my eyes and smiled shortly, then ran to the Salvatore home and up the stairs.

"Sundance!" Elena gasped. I wiped a bit of leftover blood from my chin as my sister stumbled away from a sick, pale, sweating Damon. He looked like a ghost. I approached this ghost and slowly poured the blood in his mouth. "Drink up, sweet cheeks." I sighed. The blood had my adrenaline high. I felt like a badass.

Damon looked at me. His eyes lightened. "Claire?" He whispered. "Wrong. It's little miss Sunshine. I don't have much time." I said, looking between Elena and Damon. "We made a deal with Klaus," I informed. Their eyes got wide. "Stick close to each other okay? I have to go." I bit my bottom lip nervously and hugged Elena, then walked to Damon and kissed his cheek. Quickly, I sped back to the apartment.

"He got it. He's okay." I smiled sadly at Stefan, who was surrounded by seven blood bags. He seemed ashamed. I broke the eye contact. "I have a pit stop to make. Follow." Klaus instructed. I walked over to my friend and helped him up, quickly intertwining our fingers for comfort. "We'll be alright." I mouthed. He shook his head. I knew he was right. He squeezed my hand harder.
