hi guys. I'm so so so so fucking sorry for the delay on posting. I was clean for two months and bullying has started again. needless to say, I lost my streak of cleanness. Anyway, I think "How to Save a Life" by The Fray fits this chapter well.

"Anyone wanna explain why my dead best friend was slapping the fuck out of me last night?!" I yelled, running downstairs. Stefan and Damon were in the parlor, except Damon was chained to a chair and had an iron rod in his chest. "Damn, what happened here?" I snickered. "Shut up, Sundance," Damon grunted. "I'd rather not, Damon." I chirped, quickly pulling the rod out of him. He screamed and I threw the stick onto the ground. Stefan began untying the chains, but stopped and walked away. I went to the kitchen. "Yeah, not to worry. I'll just untangle myself." Damon snapped.

I cooked grilled cheese and sat down at the table. Okay, so I have a ghost haunting me. What the hell? "Okay, Seth...didn't know you'd be pissed off by me killing you. I mean, maybe. I thought you'd stay dead. Does that mean anything?" I chuckled, taking a bite out of the sandwich. It got slapped out of my hand after pulling it away from my mouth. "You're a dick." I spat. "I know." A voice intruded. Stefan was in the doorframe. "I nearly forgot to laugh. Hardee har har." I mocked, rolling my eyes. "What crawled up your pants? Seth?" He smirked. I sped over to him and slapped his arm. "Not funny!"

We went over to check on Elena and little Jer. Oh, what a pain in the ass. We walked in and went to the kitchen. Alaric, Jeremy, and Elena were spread out around the room talking. Jeremy shifted past us and walked away, so Stefan took his place. "Ouch. Not invited to the family meetings anymore? What a shame." I frowned sarcastically. Elena glared while her boyfriend shifted through the pages of a Gilbert journal. I took the opportunity and stepped behind Stefan and wrapped my arms around his shoulders and rested my head on his to peek into the book and annoy Elena.

"Hmm? Wow. All these words. I forgot how much I used to care." Stefan said, flipping through pages. "I didn't." My sister muttered. "You know, Elena, it's probably best you not torture yourself with memories from the past. They're a bore anyway." I retorted. "You don't have to be here." Alaric snapped. "Alaric, you're right. we don't. We don't want to. I'd rather take a stake to the heart than be here. But Elena's here, and Stefan looks out for Elena. Besides, there's going to be people everywhere tonight. So there's going to be lots to eat." I smirked. Their jaw drops. "Bye." I winked, walking out of the house.

I went into the Grill and sat next to a wild-haired Damon. He passed me a glass of bourbon without a word. "Rough day, bud?" I chuckled, lifting the cup up to my mouth. I made sure there was no vervain before taking a sip. "Mason Lockwood is a little pissed." He groaned. "Yeah, well, so is my buddy, Seth. I take it Mason chained you up and tortured you? Tough guy. I like him." I chuckled. He let out what seemed to be a mixture of scoff and chuckle. "Humanity-filled Sundance would not like Mason," Damon said. "You're right. She'd probably be wildly in love with you, still hung up from all of the heartbreak you gave her. She'd honestly probably have killed herself by now after murdering a bunch of people all summer and then her best friend. But cheers, right? Cheers to you falling in love with humanity-filled Sundance's sister and ruining her life." I raised the glass and he silently raised his.

I drank the rest of the warm alcohol and got up. "Where are you going?" Damon frowned. "Out? I'm hungry. Besides, I'm not your drinking buddy anymore and I'm definitely not Elena, so I don't need your protection. God, you're like a condom." I laughed. He put his hands up and laughed. I was about to leave when Alaric walked past us. I grabbed his collar and pulled him back.

"You know, I've had enough vampires today, thanks." He sighed. "Oh, come on. Have a drink with me. This girl dumped me anyway...We've got trouble." Damon confessed. "No, you've got trouble. See, we're not a team. You tried to kill me. All right? We're not friends. I don't like you anymore." Alaric hissed. Looks like Damon got a taste of his own medicine. I walked back to my car and got in.
