My Letter To Him

Not just as your best friend.
Would you miss me as the one who travelled a long journey with you?
Would you miss me as the one who laid her head on your chest to simply listen to your heartbeat?
Would you miss me as the one who challenged you?
Would you miss me as the one who often had dumb moments that cracked you up?
Would you miss me as the would who braced the storm with you?
Would you miss me as the one who stayed in the shadows with a broken heart because she couldn't let go?
Would you remember our genuine moments?
Would you remember the sound of my laughter?
Would you remember the touch of my hands?
Would you remember our butterfly kisses?
Would you remember our matching heartbeats?
Would it be then that you remembered my love for you?
But, would it be too late?
Or would you simply forget me?
Like you easily let me go.
A lost thought to the back of your mind.
