It's a hot spring day in Miami, Florida. A day hot enough for a certain blonde to get on her board and enjoy the waves before she moves across the country to Forks, Washington.

After driving down to the beach and getting on her board in the waves Rose enjoys her last days of her carefree and enjoyable life. Her free days are being cut short. She's sad about moving but she's excited to see her father again.

Rose Swan I know a strange name but mom liked it. My mom and dad were not expecting me to be born to say the least. I was what some people call a "uh oh". Mom was over the moon excited to have another little girl but she was also scared to be as young as she is with two kids. And to top it all off she runs away a few days after I was born to get away from the rainy town.

Bella and I, my big sister, every year had to go to Forks for the summer and spend time with their father. Bella finally wined enough to convince Dad to come down to Seattle and visit us for two weeks. I complained a little and asked dad if I could come and stay with him after he left for Forks at the end of the two weeks but he would always say no.

A little over a year ago Bella finally made the bold choice to move to Forks, Washington until the end of her High School career. Bella's plans was to graduate college and then move somewhere far away from the small town and me. Dad didn't want me to go move in because he didn't have an extra bedroom. Which was bull crap on his end because he had a whole attic he made into my bedroom one summer when Bella yelled at me for something stupid and I had to sleep on the couch for a whole summer.

My thoughts are interrupted by my handsome surfer boyfriend paddling up beside me smiling.

"Hello beautiful." Jack says smiling at me.

"Hi!" I say smiling.

"How did I know you would be out here?" He says before kissing me on the lips.

"I'm just enjoying the last few days I have here." I say with a frown. His smile falters but barely. "I know what your gonna say about our relationship and I know it's not gonna work out with me being there and you being here. So can we hold that talk for later and enjoy each other while we can?"

"Yes. Now let's see who can last long enough on that monster wave." He says pointing the wave the building up in front of us.

"Oh your on Jack!" I say swimming towards the wave before standing on my board and enjoying the water he correct way.

Jack and I are walking on the beach to my car hand in hand and our boards underneath the other arm. When we make it to my car Jack helps me put my board on the top of my car and strapping it. When he faces me he has a sad smile on his face.

"What?" I ask grabbing his large hands in my smaller ones.

"When are you leaving?" Jack asks laying his forehead against mine.

"In two days." I whisper to him. He sighs before pulling me into his chest and laying his chin on top of my head.

"I'm gonna miss you beautiful." He says sadly.

"And I'm gonna miss you." I say against his chest.

"I guess we should just do the thing now since you'll be busy tomorrow." Jack says. I pull away shocked.

"No, Jack. We still have two more days." I say with tears forming in my eyes.

"Rose why push it off when we know it's gonna happen. We can just do it sooner so we don't feel more pain." He says caressing my face with his hands. "I love you Rose I always will."

"And I love you." I whisper when a tear slips down my cheek. Jack whips it away before kissing me one last time on the lips.

"Take care of yourself for me Thorn." Jack says before walking away with his board.

I feel more tears slide down my face when I climb into the car and head to my mothers house. When I walk in Mom and Phil are both looking at me with sympathetic eyes.

"Oh baby girl." Mom says with arms open. I run into her arms a sobbing mess. "It's gonna be ok my love."

"I wasn't ready Mom. I lost him." I say crying hysterically.

"Now Bella can help you with your heartache." She says kissing my forehead. "It's all gonna be ok sweetheart. One day your gonna meet again and you both will be married to the love of your lives and happy."

"I know. And we knew we would have to do this when I moved but I still wasn't ready for it either way." I say pulling away and whipping the tears off my face. "I'm gonna go pack some more and get my mind off of it."

"You do that sweetheart. I'm gonna go call someone and I'll come help you, ok?" She asks me.

"That's fine." I smile at Phil before walking upstairs to my bedroom and sitting on the bed putting my head in my hands.

A few minutes later I'm finished packing and laying on my bed when mom walks in with the phone in her hands. She hands it to me with a small smile on her face.

"Hello?" I croak in my voice sore from crying.

"Rose." I hear my big sisters voice come through the other line. "Are you ok? Sucky question to ask I know, but your gonna be ok little sis. I promise everything is gonna be ok."

"Oh Bella. I've missed you. I'm ready to come live with you." I sob into the phone while my mom rubs my back with tears in her eyes.

"What happened Rosie?" Bella asks me.

"Im not ready to physically talk about it yet. I'll be ready when I'm face to face with you." I say whipping the tears and leaning against mom.

"Ok then don't talk about it. I got dad to get someone to build you a book shelf by your window." Bella says which makes me smile.

"Really? That's awesome." I say through tears smiling. "I got you something."

"That is?" Bella asks with a chuckle.

"Not saying big sis." I say smiling now. I look at mom to find her smiling at me.

"Well I'm ready to see you little sis." She says. "I have to go ok. And keep your head held high Snow ok? It's all gonna be ok in the end."

"A lot easier said than done sis. I'll see you soon." I say whipping a tear that slipped.

"Call me if you need me tomorrow. I love you." She says.

"I love you sis." I hang up the phone and then hug my mom smiling. "I'm ready to see Bella."

"I know you are baby." She says kissing my head. "She's ready to see you. You should get ready for bed you have a big day tomorrow."

"Thank you for being here." I say when she closes the door.

"Your welcome sweetheart. Don't wanna see my babies upset." Mom says smiling before closing the door and heading to her room.
