Her Humanity

C H A P T E R 27

It's been a few days. And I might be a bad sister for not going to see Bella but I haven't seen her since she flinched away from me.

Dad doesn't know she is back home so I have to keep it to where he thinks she's still on her honeymoon. I'm cooking supper for myself when Sue and Dad walk in smiling. I smile at them then go back to what I was doing.

"Rose why don't you go see Rosalie?" Dad asks. "Not that I'm upset your here but it just seems weird you being here this much."

"I might go see her. I've just been trying to wrap my mind around some things." Dad nods his head and then walks into the living room. Sue looks at me with a smile. She walks forward to me and places a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm always here for you. And Seth and Leah are too." She says with a small smile.

"Thank you Mrs Clearwater."

"You know you can call me Sue." She says smiling. I smile back. She squeezes my hand grabs two beers and then walks back to dad.

I turn the stove off and put my eggs on the plate with my toast with strawberry jam on it. I jump up on the counter and eat my breakfast. My phone rings when I start on my eggs.

I answer it before looking at the name. "Rose come to the house."

"I would Nik but I'm in Forks." I say taking a bite from my eggs.

"How in the bloody hell did you get there so fast?"

"I drove the night I got there and didn't stop until I made it to Forks."

"Why would you do that?"

"Elena and them tried to compel me to forget about humanity switch." I say rolling my eyes then doing the dishes.

"Why didn't they tell you about in the first place?"

"Something about me going rampage and didn't know if they would be able to get me to turn it back on. Not only did they betray me in trying to manipulate with my brain but Bella flinched away from me because of my face."

"I'm sorry love."

"Don't call me that. Why do you do that? You tell me to stay away but then not even say goodbye when I leave but change demeanor when you see me again."

He's silent for a few minutes. My phone starts ringing again. I pull my phone away to find Bella calling. "Nik I'll call you back."

"Ok." I hang up then call Bella.

"Hello?"

"Can you come over? I want to talk to you."

"Sure." I hang up before she can say anything and walk up to my room and get out of my sweatpants. Nik calls me again and this time it's a FaceTime call. "Hey Nik."

"Hey Rose."

We talk while I get dressed. I put on a tank top crop top with blue jean shorts and a white denim button up. I put on white vans.

"What do you think?" I ask him setting the phone up to where he can see.

"You look beautiful." Nik says with a weird look.

"Thank you." I say smiling. After I do my makeup in natural just mascara and lipgloss. "I'll call you later Nik."

"Ok Flower." He smiles at me before hanging up. I put my phone in my pocket then heading to Bella.

I walk into the house without knocking with a cup of blood in my hands. I walk into the living room where Bella, Jake, and Edward are sitting. Jake looks at me and smiles.
