C H A P T E R 43

Nik and I walk hand in hand through the compound with the biggest smiles plastered on our faces. Nik twirls me under his arm as we walk down one of the hallways and the photographer catches pictures of the two of us. I look to the end of the hallway when I hear tiny feet running to the two of us.

"Niko! Grace!" Niko runs into my arms as Grace runs into Nik's.

"Nik, Rose, I love you guys trumenduously, but you guys need to get down here before Damon and Ric become a drunken mess." Rebekah says that causes the two of us to bust out laughing. "Also welcome to the family Rose!"

"Its good to be offically apart of it." I say smiling lovingly at my now husband.

We walk down the stair and into the compound courtyard that is now where the reception is being held. I hug the friends that come up to the two of us as we walk in. Nik and I stand on the edge of the dance floor waiting for someone to tell us what to do. Edward and Jake stands onto the stage along with Paul.

"Ladies and Gentlemen we proudly bring to you the newly weds Klaus and Rose Mikaelson!" Paul says lifting his flask of champagne up to the crowd as Nik and I walk onto the dance floor for our first dance as husband and wife.

Nik pulls me into his chest as 10,000 Hours by Dan and Shay starts playing through the speakers. He twirls me under his arm as we sway to the music.

"You look beautiful." He whispers when he holds me close to his chest. "As always."

"You look handsome Mr Mikaelson." I say laying my cheek against his shoulder as we dance together.

"I love you Mrs Mikaelson."

"I love you Mr Mikaelson Always and Forever." He smiles softly to himself as we settle to silence just taking in the changes that has happened and the changes that are to come. We pull apart when the song ends and I go find dad for the 'Daddy-Daughter Dance'. We dance awkwardly as Nik and Mom dance while laughing.

When we pull away from each other I search the crowd for Emmett. I notice his burly self standing by the table along lost in his thoughts. I take in a deep breath before walking to the man.

"You owe me a dance." I say with a goofy smile.He turns to me and smiles the brightest. I take his hand and drag him to the dance floor where everyone is dancing to the fast song that is playing through the speakers. "Let loose Emmett."

He shakes his head and we start dancing with the crowd. I look down when Grace walks up to me with her hands over her ears. I pick her up and lay her head against mine,but I know it's not working. Once the song ends I walk away from the party and walk her around the compound balcony.

I look down to find Nik dancing with Rebekah, Freya, Kol, and Hope. I sway to the beat of the music trying to get Grace asleep. I look down when I feel another pare of smaller hands on my dress to find Niko. I pick him up and sway with the twins in my arms.

I look down to find Nik looking around for something. When he walks up to Marcel and they speak for a few seconds he looks up and makes eye contact with me. A few minutes pass and he's next to me taking Grace into his arms.

"Are y ou sure you still want to go on a honeymoon?" He asks when he watches me hug Niko close to my chest. I look to him to find a smirk plastered on his lips.

"Yes I'm sure. The twins are going with Kol and Davina anyways." I say with a smile he chuckles and shakes his head. "I love you."

"I love you." He kisses the side of my head. Rebekah and Freya walk up and take the twins into their arms.

"You two go dance. We will watch them for you." I nod my head and take Nik's hand in mine and drag him to an empty room.

A slow song comes on downstairs. "We could have danced out there." He says with a smile.
