C H A P T E R 41

I walk into the Salvatore Boarding house to find Damon with tear stained cheeks. "You're the last one to see her." He says before leading me to where they have Elena's body in a coffin. "Just hold her hand and concentrate."

I nod my head and hold my tears in. I take Elena's hand into my and close my eyes entering her brain.

I open my eyes to find I'm in the Mikaelson Mansion in a ball gown. I chuckle softly before turning to find Elena. My eyes well with tears and I rush to her and hug her tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you Elena." I say pulling away. She smiles softly with tear filled eyes.

"I'm gonna miss you Rose. I hate that this is our goodbye."

"Don't speak like that Elena. You're gonna wake up again." I say with tears falling down my face.

"Yes but you will be traveling the world."

"I'll always come back to you Elena Gilbert."

"I want you to promise me something though." I nod my head encouraging her to continue. "Live your life in New Orleans with the twins and Klaus. Be happy and don't dwell on the fact I'm in this coma. Live your life and enjoy it."

"I will. But when you come back please contact me." I say squeezing her hands. "I want to see you one last time before Damon takes you off your feet and you two live life to the fullest."

"I will." She says before hugging me one last time. "Take care Rose Mikaelson."

I chuckle with tear stained cheeks. "I wish you could be there."

"Me too." She says before we say our goodbyes and I release her hand.

I whip the tears away before facing the Salvatore Brothers. I hug Damon tightly. He hugs me back just as tight. "Call me if you need absolutely anything Damon."

"I will Rosie Posie." I pull away and smile at him. I hug Stefan after he comes back from speaking with Caroline.

"Take care Rose." He says softly.

"You too Stef." I say with a smile. I walk to the front door of the Salvatore Boarding house and look one last time at the surroundings of the home. I smile at the brothers before walking away from the boarding house and Mystic Falls with my small family and back to New Orleans.

*F E W D A Y S L A T E R*

It's been a few days since we left Mystic Falls and I said goodbye to Elena. I'm currently going wedding dress shopping with Bella, Renesmee, Esme, Alice, Rosalie, my Mom, Rebekah, Freya, Hayley, and Davina.

Nik and the boys have the twins while we go out on the town of New Orleans. I'm going to a dress shop where I saw a dress that instantly fell in love with. I smile brightly at my family and friends that are with me when we walk into the wedding dress shop.

"Hi who is our bride?" The receptionist asks with a smile. I raise my hand. "Oh! Rose!"

"Hey!" She walks to me and kisses my cheeks.

"Let's get you into the dress you talked about." I smile at the girls around me as they sit down in the sitting room and I follow the girl into the changing room. I change into a silk robe and wait for the receptionist to come.

The lady walks in with the long sleeve lace ball gown dress. I smile brightly when she helps me get into the dress. I sigh in relief when I get that feeling knowing it's the one.

I walk out to my family and stand on the platform. They all gasp while Mom and Esme has tears in their eyes. "You look so beautiful!" Mom sobs.

"Mom." I say with a smile. I look to Bella and Alice who are speaking silently while looking at me. "Alice? Bella?"

"We love it!" Bella says with a smile. I smile softly and turn to Rosalie who nods approvingly.

"If you don't buy that dress imma be ticked off." Rosalie says with a smile.

"I agree!" Rebekah and Freya say in unison. I smile and look to the receptionist.

"This is the dress." I say with a smile.

"Yay!" She says excitedly. "Let's get you out of the dress."

I follow her back to the dressing room and get out of my dress. Rebekah walks in and nods her head as I walk out dressed in my normal clothes to distract my mom. Rebekah comes out and nods her head.

"I'll pick it up tomorrow in time for the wedding." She says to where only the vampires can hear. I nod my head with a smile.

"Let's go back to the compound. Nik and Elijah should have supper on the table." I say with a smile and directing my family out of the dress shop.

*T H E C O M P O U N D*

I smile at Nik when he meets me at the top of the stairs with a crying Grace. I shake my head at him and smile to Kol when he comes up to me.

"I need to speak to you tonight." He says into my ear with all seriousness.

"Ok. We can talk later." He smiles at me softly and hugs me tightly.

"Thanks Ro." I hug him back.

"Of course Kol." I say with a smile. I pull away and walk to Nik who's still trying to calm down Grace. "Come here my love."

I take her into my arms and she instantly calms down. Nik looks at her shocked and shakes his head. "Wow." He smiles at me and kisses my lip softly. "Glad to have you home love."

"It's good to be home Nik." I say kissing him again. "Where's Niko?"

"Edward and Jasper are occupying him." I smile and nod my head. I rock Grace gently in my arms when my phone buzzes in my pocket. I look at the name to find Caroline. "Hey Care."

"Hey Rose." She says with a sniffle.

"What's wrong Care?" I ask worried.

"I'm pregnant."
