C H A P T E R 18

*S N O W's P O V*
It's late at night. After the Cullen family and I got done goofing around. Jake left because he had to patrol. Alice and jasper went hunting. I ask Rosalie to take me home.

"Thank you for the ride." I say hopping out of her red convertible.

"Anytime kiddo." Rosalie says. "Call me anytime you need me."

"I will." I back up and watch her drive away. I go into the house to find dad sitting at the table.

"Hey." He says when he sees me.

"Hi." I say smiling. I walk and stand beside him. He wraps an arm around my waist. I lay my head on top of his and watch him clean with one hand. "You excited to gain a son in law?"

"I'm excited to see Bella happy." He says looking up at me. "That guy that came and helped you. He your boyfriend?"

"No he's not my boyfriend. He's just a really good friend." I say smiling. He nods his head. "You want another?" I ask pointing to his beer.

"No thank you. I think I'm gonna put all this up and head to bed. Bella is staying at Angela's." He says.

"Ok. Sleep well." I say. "I'm gonna get something to eat and then I'll turn everything off." He nods his head. He grabs his gun and cleaning stuff before walking upstairs and to his room.

I sit down on the chair he was in and cover my face. I sigh in defeat before looking at the file he has sitting on the table. I flip it open to find animal attacks from Mystic Falls? I look through the files then I find an application for a job in Mystic Falls Police Department.

"What the hell?" I pull my phone out and click on Bella's I.d. She answers on the first ring.

"Hey Rose what's up?" Bella asks. I can hear Angela laughing in the background.

"Why does dad have applications for Mystic Falls Police Department? And he has a bunch of animal attacks." I ask looking through the files to find all the stuff that Damon and Stefan has done.

"I have no clue. You don't think he plans on moving do you?" Bella asks. "I didn't even know he had that stuff."

"I think it's been here for a few days. I remember Sherif Forbes asking about dad." I say looking around to make sure dad isn't here. "I'll let you go. I was just wondering if you knew anything about it."

"Ok. Bye sis. We will talk tomorrow." Bella hangs up. I sigh laying my phone down. I scroll to find Nik's name in my contacts. I click it and call him.

"Hello love." Nik says answering.

"Hi Nik." I lean against the table reading about one of the attacks.

"What's wrong? I can hear the stress in your voice." Nik says. I sigh before closing the file and putting it back like I found it.

"I'm a little stressed but more curious then anything." I say. "How was your flight?"

"It was fine. Marcellus what may I help you with?" I hear a voice in the back ground I don't try and focus on it cause I don't feel like it. "Rose can I call you back?"

"Yeah. I'm gonna go see if I can find some bourbon or something in the small town." I say standing up and grabbing my keys.

"Be careful Flower." Nik says.

"Always am." I hang up and walk out the door quietly. I look around before vamp speeding to my Jeep. I climb in and crank it.

While I'm driving through town. I get a phone call. I look at the radio, which my phone is connected to. The caller i.d. reads Paul🐺🏈🍔. I sigh before pushing the answer button.
