C H A P T E R 06

*R O S E's P O V*

"Paul. Paul Lahote."

"It's nice to meet you." I say smiling then sitting the plate of food down and grabbing my board off the top of Jake's car.

"I'll carry the food or board if your would like?" Paul says seeing me struggle.

"Can you take the board please?" I ask with a huff.

He chuckles but nods his head. "I'll go sit it by the table." He says walking away. He stops after he gets a certain distance away and turns around. "You coming?"

I look up in realization and nod my head grabbing the food and speed walking to catch up with him.

When we are walking towards the beach we are both in a comfortable silence which is weird seeing as I just met him.

"So...Why did you move to Forks?" Paul breaks the silence.

"Wanted to live with Bella and dad." I say.

"Oh ok." He says going back into a comfortable silence.

When we make it to the beach. He sets my board down when a girl comes up hugging him with a smile. I nod my head to myself before setting the plate down where Emily wants it.

I feel arms being placed on my shoulders. I look up to find Jake and Bella.

"You gonna sure? Or cliff dive?" Jake asks me smiling.

"I'll surf first. Cliff diving makes me tired." I say with a smirking.

"Then get to it Ro." He says pushing me to my board. I shake my head at him before taking my shorts and cardigan off. I look out at the waters to find out where I wanna go first.

I then just decide to go out and figure it out when I get there.

When I get out far enough I can look for real I instantly calm down. I sigh in relief and then find a big wave forming out in front of me. I smirk before paddling up to it and enjoying the wave.

It's been a few minutes but turns out it's been a few hours and all the food was eaten but a plate was saved for me by Bella. When I walk up to her I smile gratefully.

"Thank you Bella." I say taking it and sitting down.

"Your welcome little sis." She says walking over to the boys. I frown realizing I'm alone again. Once I eat everything I grab my board and head back out to the surf noticing bigger waves forming.

{B E L L A's P O V}

I look around after hearing what Sam has to say about Victoria when I can't find Snow anywhere. I couldn't find her in the water or on the sand.

"Guys Where's Rose?" I ask panicking not seeing her anywhere.

Jake shoots up looking for Rose along with the other boys. Paul is the one to speak up.

"She's over there. She went over board." He says pointing to the head getting back on the board she looks like she's cussing.

"Can y'all hear what she is saying?" I ask.

"Nothing nice thats for sure." Sam says chuckling.

"I never knew she could speak like that." Jake says shocked.

I laugh and then turn back to Emily and starting a conversation with her.

I'm surfing on the biggest wave I've seen today. I try to do a flip and when I go to land I miss the damn board.
