Yachi had forgotten one tiny detail when she came face-to-face with Kuroo and had declared friendship.

She forgot about the "rumor"-or so she called it- that Tanaka was talking about. She forgot that Tanaka wanted to set her up with someone, and that the certain someone was Kuroo Tetsurou.

It slipped her mind and she had this chill in her bones that warned her about the curious looks that Tanaka would PROBABLY give her.

And seeing that it was Tanaka, He won't just stare, he WILL throw in a snicker or grin.

"Little crow~" a familiar voice said in a sing song voice, she jumped in surprise.

Yachi turned, Kuroo stood behind her with a wide grin.

The nickname that he keeps calling her made her heart flutter. She wouldn't say it out loud but she found the nickname endearing.

"Yes, Kuroo-san?" Yachi simply said, trying not to stutter.

"I told you before, just call me Kuroo, we are friends after all" Kuroo cheekily said, Yachi's face heated up.

"O-of course" Yachi nodded.

Kuroo had already told her to just simply call him by his name instead. What happened by the faucets earlier had really went well for their "budding friendship". Kuroo was really nice to her, he even helped her with carrying the crate back to the gym, earning them looks from a few players.

Kuroo was also extra expressive in his game and gave grins and smiles her way if he ever got a point in.

He even talked to her for a bit during the water break.

It was still 7:00 pm on the same day  but a lot of things already happened ever since.

"Anyway, i just came here to tell you that it's already dinner time, we better head to the cafeteria" Kuroo told her, gently taking her arm pulling her as he walked.

Yachi had let out the highest squeek that she could.

Kuroo laughed at the sound.

"Let's go ya-chan, I'm starving" Kuroo said.

Yachi could only walk along, her eyes set on the hand that held her wrist, She could feel the heat on her cheeks,

Kuroo's touch was warm.

"He's a friend, a friend, a friend" she chanted in her head, but deep down, it was pure denial no matter what.

Because in reality, her adoration was greater, overpowering the idea of him being 'just' a friend.

Yachi's thoughts were occupied with the thought of Kuroo being this close. She never had dreamt of this happening in reality. Never thought of Kuroo actually giving her smiles like he did, never though of Kuroo giving her a time of his day, never thought that Kuroo would notice her in reality.

She was still in disbelief, being the type of girl that would never hope to get a chance like this. Even if it was only friendship, Yachi treasured it in her heart.

Yachi is really indenial, she wouldn't admit it to herself even if she's doing what she swore not to do.

The canteen was a bit of a long way from where they came from, so it took a while before they could reach it.

Along the way, they came across Yamaguchi who was walking down the hall. The green haired boy looked at them in surprise as they passed by, Yachi's gaze and his had met, making the girl gulp while Yamaguchi just stared in confusion, with brows furrowed especially since the older boy had held Yachi by the wrist happily chatting about something.

She was dead.

They reached the cafeteria and Yachi was already pale especially when she saw Kuroo's bestfriend-Kenma-standing near the door.

"Where were you, Kuroo?" Kenma lazily asked him, not noticing Yachi from behind him.

"I went to get her" he gestured at Yachi, Kenma's eyes widened and looked back at Kuroo in shock, before Kenma could say anything Kuroo patted his head.

"Anywayyyyy, what's for dinner? Let's go! Yachi, you should head to Kiyoko, eat your supper" and with that, the cat boy had left with his pudding best friend who was complaining.

Yachi immediately scanned the room to look for Kiyoko and the team, only to find them sitting by the window, busily chatting.

Hinata was the first to notice her.

"Yachi! Where were you, Kiyoko looked for you but she didn't get to find you and its dark out. "  He immediately asked about her whereabouts, the group turned to her and fired multiple questions about her wellbeing since the rogue ball incident.

"I'm fine, i was just doing something is all" she told them and followed the statement with more assurance.

"Let the girl eat, you're making her uncomfortable" Daichi told them, the group went silent and Yachi sat next to Tsukishima.

"I saw that." Tsukishima simply said without looking up to her, he continued on eating as Yachi looked at him, confused.

"W-what do you mean, Tsukishima?"

"By the door, i saw you come in with him."  Tsukishima simply said and casted a smirk at her way.

Yachi had let out a string of excuses but Tsukishima was obviously taking none of it.

"Just eat your food, Yachi" Tsukishima told her, pushing a tray of food infront of her, making Yachi shut up and look down at her meal.

She muttered a thanks and went to eat.

Her mind was running.

'This training camp is so not good for my heart' she thought to herself and heaved a sigh.

Dinner had finished, Yachi and Kiyoko were busy helping clean around the gym with the two other club managers for the final time after the 'punishments'.

Yukie Shirufuku and Kaori Suzumeda were Fukoradani's club managers. Both girls that Yachi has yet to really socialise with and given the current circumstances gave Yachi the chance.

"What does it feel like hanging out with the Karasuno team?" Kaori asked Yachi out of the blue as they placed the chairs in a stack.

Yach was surprised at the sudden question but did her best to answer.

"Well, Sugawara senpai and Daichi senpai are really nice, I'm classmates with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, Hinata is also nice and full of energy..." Yachi went on to describe the boys in their best making Kaori smile.

"Well, Fukoradani has its... Downsides" Yukie said in a low tone as she joined the two girls, Yachi looked at her curiously as Kaori laughed.

"You see the team's weirdness, correct? Well, it doesn't really get better back at school when they train. Bokuto is always giving me a headache with his antics." Yukie explained.

"Atleast Akaashi is there to keep him in line... At least as much as he could" Kaori said.

"members that take on the 'mom' roles are important." Yukie stated, thinking deeply as she looked down on the floor.

"We have a Sugawara" Kiyoko suddenly said and joined them as well. The other girls giggled, Fukoradani's managers gushed about Sugawara.

The four girls were immersed in their conversation, from volleyball boys to cakes, the girls kept talking 'til the went back to their current quarters.

The talk went on for a while and Yachi slowly realized that the training camp week was nearing to a close.

Denying her feelings for him and trying to be his friend instead seemed like a good plan to Yachi.

But a thought came across her.... Does she really want to remain as friends with him?
