We made it to the Chancellor's office and waited to be allowed in.
"Before I can let you in, I must pat you down." The guard said sternly.
"Skywalker, could you?" I asked as I looked at him.
"Fine." He growled out.
I know it was petty but the reason I wanted him to pat me down was to make him uncomfortable and to make sure that they didn't plant anything on me.
He quickly patted me down and let out a sigh as he turned and looked at the guard.
"She is clear." He said calmly.
We walked inside and I saw the Chancellor sitting at his desk.
"Lady Allana, I presume." The Chancellor said calmly.
"Chancellor." I said softly.
"Please call me Palpatine." He said with a small smile.
"Then call me Allana."
"Now, please take a seat my dear." He said as he motioned to the chair.
I set down and stopped myself from letting out a sigh. I set up straight and he let out a sigh as he looked me over.
"So why has a Separatist come to Coruscant?" He asked with a frown.
"To talk about peace. The Separatist have agreed to open Peace negotiations." I said calmly.
"After you attacked us? Why hasn't the Count came? He is the head of the Separatist."
"Not anymore. Dooku is responsible for the murder of Duchess Mina and the attack on Coruscant. Because of all of this he is wanted for treason."
"I see, so who is the head of the Separatist?" He asked sternly.
"I am. Which is why I came today.... this fighting must end, and like so many others I want it to end." I said softly.
"I agree." He said softly.
"If that is so, why is someone trying to get on my ship?" I asked with a frown.
"Only for safety reasons." He said as he glared at me.
I could feel his anger and I smiled as I leaned back and crossed my legs.
"My ship is no longer on the docks Chancellor, after I docked I had my lady in waiting leave with the ship. I am stuck here until she returns, when I call for her to return." I said softly.
"Of course."
"Palpatine, I do not trust you and I do not agree with you being in control of the Republic. I wish someone like Amidala was in control, but sadly I have no power here. Now, I wish to speak to the Senate if that is fine by you?" I asked softly.
"Of course." The Chancellor said as he gritted his teeth.
"Thank you." I said as I stood up.
I turned and left with Yoda and Anakin.
"Oh and Lady Allana, you should watch your back, I'd hate for something to happen to you before we could talk of peace." He said as he sent me a smile.
"Don't worry, I'm very stubborn." I said as I turned and left the office.
I let out a sigh as the door shut and I walked away from his office.
"You didn't have to be so disrespectful to hi-"
"He was disrespectful to me Master Skywalker. He tried to search my ship and me. He had no trust in me, so why should I put my trust in him? How is peace ever going to work with someone who only looks upon us with hate?" I asked as I turned to look at him.
"Well maybe if the separatist didn't-"
"Dooku was behind all the bad things you have seen Skywalker. I promise you that there are things that he did that I wish I could erase, the pain he has inflicted.... the families torn apart. I hate what all I have learn that Dooku has been responsible for, and I shouldn't put the blame on just him, it is all of our faults and that is why I am here to make up for that." I said softly.
"What about the planets in your system that agree with slavery?"
"I despise slavery, my grandmother once was a slave until Dooku saved her. They married and had my mother who would go on to die having me. My whole life I have fought against slavery and if you don't believe me say my name to Jabba the Hut, he will tell you all about his hatred for me." I said sternly.
"Still doesn't make up for everything your world has done." He said as he turned and walked away.
"I am not here to ask for forgiveness Skywalker, I know I will not get any... I simply want to fix what has been broken." I said softly.
"Good luck Senator." He said as he kept walking.
I crossed my arms over my chest and let out a sigh.
"Much hatred for the separatist the young Skywalker has." Yoda said from beside me.
"I know, I felt it." I said softly.
"Strong in the force you are, curious who your father is." Yoda said softly.
"I don't know, Dooku never told me. He always said it wasn't important and that he never wanted me, but..."
"A lie you believe it is." He said softly.
"Yes.... Dooku has lied so much to me that, I don't know what the truth is."
He nodded his head and I followed him to my room.
