Kakashi x Reader [English]

Chapter 1

First 2 chapters are for introducing the story and main plot. After the 2nd it gets more into Kakashi so please don't give up on it too fast, I'll promise it'll be worth it.

The gates were starting to be visible in the middle of the green forest. 'Oh how much I've missed this forest...' I smiled internally, keeping my neutral exterior as we neared the gates. I pulled my anbu mask up to the top of my head, not really caring about it anymore. The two jonins that were guarding the entrance stopped us. I took a small scroll I had been keeping since I don't even remember how long, and put it in his hands. They looked it over and finally let my team and I pass.

"Argh, Konoha still looks the same after all these years!" one of my teammates groaned as he crossed his arms behind his head while we walked to the Hokage's office. I smiled faintly at his reaction "Do you think we'll be sent on another mission, captain?" he asked me.

"We've just arrived Futoki, let us chill a little will you?" Nami, the other teammate said to the boy "I want to go to the hotsprings and have a nice sleep in my house first" she said with a dreamy voice, remembering how good it felt. Even I felt my skin tingle at the thought of finally having a good night of sleep in a cozy and warm bed in my house. 

"There's a new Hokage, so there's the possibility that our team will be torn" I said, observing the new shops and streets. Even though they might have been there for years, they were now new to me. 

"What? But we've been together for 5 years now, and there's no better captain than you (Y/n)-sempai" Nami complaint making me smile again and stop gazing around suspiciously. 

"Yeah, we're the best team in the anbu" Futoki added confidently.

"I just said it's a possibility guys. Let's not worry about it now" I said, and we kept on walking silently under the warm sun that made Konoha brighter. 

We finally got to the Hokage's office. Some time ago I was told by one of the messenger's hawks that the new Hokage was one of the legendary sannins. A woman, the first one to be Hokage. I'd lie if I said I wasn't a bit curious about meeting her. 

"The Hokage will see you now" a woman with short dark hair that carried a small and cute pig told us. I nodded and my team followed me to the doors of her office that open rather dramatically. 

After giving her the report of the mission she asked me to do a spoken gist and tell her the details of it. I left some pieces of information out though. Not because I wanted to keep it a secret from Lady Tsunade, but because the 3rd was clear about no one aside from the elder knowing them, and that included Futoki and Nami.

"I see" she said "So you're the (L/n) I was told about" I looked at her blinking twice because I didn't know if I was supposed to answer to that or not "Okay, you two are dismissed" she ordered to my team.

They looked at me for a brief second before bowing and disappearing with a poof.

"I'll look more into the report later" she began "but first tell me. How are you feeling?" she asked me, taking me completely aback. 

The 3rd never asked me how I felt, and obviously not Danzo. No one, in reality, had ever asked me before, which explains why I was surprised that the 5th Hokage, a woman that had just met me after all, had asked me that.

"You've just returned after a 5-year-long mission. A mission that must have also been really emotionally triggering, and consuming. So tell me, how are you feeling?" she asked again, probably seeing my confusion.
