On the 1st chapter I said from now on Kakashi appears almost constantly, and he does. But I hate it when everything happens too rushed. So I'm already stating that they'll take their time. Like don't expect them to kiss on the 7th chapter. Like, it's Kakashi, no way he'd do that. Sorry u.u

I walked through the busy streets of Konoha, book in hand and completely absorbed in it. I had only bought this one yesterday with Dai, but I had been reading it during the whole night and now I couldn't stop. Besides, I was just really close from finishing it and I already had a specific book I wanted to read next. It would be a book I had already read a dozen times, yet I never had enough, and it was, undoubtedly one of the best romance novels out there.

I was so engrossed in the book that not even the loud bark that sounded behind me made me stop reading. It wasn't actually until the owner of the bark tackled me into the ground that I came back to reality.

"Akamaru!" I laughed while he licked my face and barked again.

I pet him and started to stand up when again I was tackled to the floor, this time by a brunette kid.

"(Y/n)!" Kiba called me as he hugged me, making me laugh again.

I hugged him back while I sat, waiting for him to separate so I could see how much he had grown up.

"Gosh you're so grown up" I smiled at him, patting his head over his hood.

He smiled proudly at me.

"And I've learned some jutsus too!" he said happily, standing up and lending me a hand. Akamaru barked at what he had said, adding to his excitement while he effusively moved his tail "When did you come back?"

"A few days ago, I'm sorry I couldn't go see you" I apologized, still smiling as I saw how much he had changed since the day we met when I was 13 and he was merely 4.

It was really late at night. I was done with my heavy training for the day and I only wanted to relax while I read a good book. However I just couldn't stay put at my place either. I needed fresh air and to see the vast open dark sky. So I did just that, grabbed my book and decided to find a secluded spot in the quiet and beautiful forest of Konoha.

I deftly made my way through the gates going unnoticed, knowing better than to get much far, when I heard a high-pitched bark followed by many more. I hesitantly approached the place, ready to run back if needed. However, what I found was an empty clearing that ended in a cliff.

Another bark sounded and I decided to poke my head through the cliff, seeing an overflowing river, now transformed into a powerful stream. And then, a small kid trying not to fall from a rock he had got stuck in on the side of the wall.

"Hey!" I screamed, making him look up.

"Help!" he yelled back desperately, his eyes wide opened as if he had suddenly seen the light.

Only then I saw a white puppy covered in blood. 'Is it his, or from the dog?' I asked myself worriedly 'In any case I need to hurry, I don't know how much that rock will last.

'Okay, now's the time you've been secretly training for (Y/n). You can do it' I encouraged myself while I leaned my body on the edge, reaching my hand to him, not for him to grab it as he was too far away, but for my chakra threads to go to him. I closed my eyes and tried to focus.

"C'mon..." I mouthed frustrated.

"I don't think this will stand long!" he shouted desperately, worry in every word he said.
