*Hands you small Kakashi*
"I don't have any job for you to do yet" Tsunade told me as I entered her office late in the morning, just as I was informed to do.
I looked at her still, wondering why would she call me then, waiting for her to continue and solve my question.
"I have called you here because a group of the anbu found some remnants of your old village"
"Remnants?" I asked not quite understanding what she meant by that, and clearly surprised by the mention of my home town.
"Two people, although the girl seems to have lost her memory along with her voice. Shizune, let them in!" she yelled and instantly the door behind me opened.
I turned my head backwards, obviously curious as to who those two people were, but also really stunned about this new discovery.
"(Y/n)!" the guy, who was slightly taller than me and had short black hair called me as he run for a hug.
He pulled me tight into his body, making me cringe a little as well as disorientate me even more. I didn't reply to his hug because I had no idea who he was and thus felt a little awkward.
"We're so glad you are alive! We thought you died" he said, finally releasing me. Although he still left both of his hands on my shoulders.
His dark eyes stared at mines while shining with a smile. I stared at him back, unconsciously arching a brow to him.
"I have called you here (Y/n)" Tsunade proceeded after coughing a little "Because I wanted you to give them a small tour while they stay here"
"They have been accepted as citizens?" I asked, taking my eyes off the guy to her, although he still kept eyeing me with happiness.
"We're still investigating, but for the moment they should feel safe here" she explained.
'A guide? Seriously?' I thought to myself as I mentally sighed 'Well, there's not much I can do, it's an order after all...'
I bowed to her and left her office, the two of them following me from behind.
"You don't remember us do you?" the guy asked me as we left the headquarters.
I felt a little bad. They were so happy to find out I was okay, yet I didn't even know who they were.
"No, I'm sorry. I only remember my parents and my best friend""It's alright" he said "After everything your parents did for us what matters is that you're alright"
I looked at him from the corner of my eyes. 'He doesn't look much older than me. Maybe 26 or 28' I then looked at his side, gazing at the blonde small girl that hadn't talked, just as Tsunade had said 'And she definitely looks only a few years younger than me. What must she be, 16? 15? Are they brothers? They look nothing alike'
My mind was going through so many questions while I really tried to remember them from back when I was a kid. But I just really couldn't.
"Anyways, this is The Hokage Rock" I said trying to change the subject.
The girl with green eyes looked at every single one of the faces, inspecting them with a slight impressed expression.
"How did you manage to survive?" the guy asked me.
I bit the inside of my cheek. I never thought about what happened. I had forbid it to myself. It was something I just never talked and tried to avoid, yet he was talking about it over and over again. I knew he probably didn't have any bad intentions, and was just oblivious to how I felt about it. But it still kind of pissed me off.
"I'm sorry, what were your names again?" I asked them.
"My name's Dai, and she's Kaoru" he answered me with a smile and then kept looking at me, waiting for me to answer his question.
"Well, how did you survive?" I countered him with the same question, but mostly because I was curious. I really thought I was the only one to survive...
"Kaoru got stuck under the ruins of her house. And I fell unconscious at the beginning so they thought I was dead. When I woke up everything was destroyed and on fire. I heard her screaming and I helped her out of there. We looked for other survivors for some time, but we were the only ones. Luck I guess"
"Wasn't she mute?" I asked, not getting how could she cry for help.
"She is now, but I think it's because of the trauma" he paused a little "And you?" he asked again, clearly not forgetting his question like I had planned.
"I don't like remembering what happened" I said sharply "Here's Yamanaka's flowers, if you ever need flowers there won't be any better place than this" I added with my normal tone again, trying to change the subject.
"I'm sorry, you're right. I should have figured it must have been hard to lose your parents. Sorry" he apologized
'Then shut up' I couldn't help but think, feeling bad at the same time because I was sure he wasn't doing it on purpose.
"Is there any place where I can buy books?" he asked me.
My face changed quickly to one of happiness and I smiled kindly to him.
"Actually it's near to where you'll be staying" I answered and we headed to the bookstore.
I kept on showing them some of the places I remembered and that were still the same after the years, until we finally got there.
"Are you a fervent reader too?" Dai asked me while I inspected a shelf that had a couple of books that seemed interesting.
"I wouldn't say fervent..." I smiled shyly "But I like reading. Are you getting anything?" I asked him, seeing him carrying a couple of books.
"I saw these, they seem exciting" he said showing me two books "Unless you recommend me one" he smiled at me sweetly, making my lips tug upwards as I felt excited for being able to recommend some of my favorite books.
"With pleasure" I said and got a few books for him to revise.
After having bought our respective novels we exited the place and I showed them their and my place, so in case they needed something they knew where I was. Once I got home I let my body plop on the sofa, getting one of my new books out of their bag and starting to read it. However, I found it uncommonly difficult to focus.
I sighed and rested my head on the sofa, looking at the ceiling and to my surroundings. 'It's probably that I've just got used to being with people' I said, feeling weird being alone in one place.
I suddenly heard some bangs coming from my bedroom, breaking the silence of my home and thus making me jump.
I left the book on the coffee table and went upstairs.
"It's just the wind" I sighed seeing some branches hitting my window "When did I become such a paranoid" I said deciding to take a shower, not being able to abandon the feeling that I was being both followed and watched since this morning, and yesterday. But again, I also told myself that it was due to not being used to the life of a jonin.
'Yep, I just need some time' I thought to myself as I switched off the light of my room and laid on my bed waiting for sleep to find me.
